It is poetic that Ralf started and finishes his reign with games vs Crystal Palace.
Also, the squad players needed to be played,as they need to be moved on in the summer ,so getting cash for them is a must given the debt situation, impact of COVID and the sheer number of signings the first team needs.
Lastly, do not forget that Klopp finished 8th in his first season (remember the West Brom draw that the players celebrated). Arteta too finished 8th with Arsenal, so do not be surprised if Ten Hag finishes in a similar or lower position (due to the emergence of West Ham and Newcastle) . But, like for Klopp, the early signs of progress in terms of style of play are critical ..in hindsight, Louis should have been given the third season as well as a midfield engine room someone in the ilk of Fabinho (remember that you were extensively linked with him and Strootman). Besides, under Louis, despite the style of play, Smalling and Blind were a sold pairing and you guys more often than not, won big games too.

    1st- City deserves it
    2nd- Liverpool deserved it
3rd- Chelsea had a bad 2nd half caused a massive slip, most likely due to injuries and the outside of football matters
4th- Very close but spurs deserved it, Nuno was a fraud but conte saved them, great season for the asian king.
5th Arsenal bottled it, everyone by week 31-33 said they had gotten top
    4 but they slipped up
6th- One of the worst United seasons in a while, absloutely dreadful. 0 GD got uel because of liverpool. Shocking. ETH has a lot to do.
7th: Not a bad season, but not a great one. They finished 6th last year, a place below. But its not too disheartening because it was close. Hoping they can win the uecl.
8th: Leicester could’ve done better, losing your best 2 CB’s is bad so I can see why. Without vardy they aren’t that clinical up front. Daka is a good edition hoping he can learn.
9th: Class season from Brighton, going from 16th to 9th is an accomplishment for sure, from getting 20th in the championship to getting in the top is monumental, a new striker is all they need (that is if they keep the team)
    Finally 10:
I think most expected wolves to be finished without santos, but farther from the truth a 10th place finish isn’t too bad for wolves, some games they should’ve won, it could’ve been a better season for sure. But without sa’ the team wouldn’t even be close to tenth, he was their poty for sure.

Don't forget the lack of red that Mane was shown vs Chelsea, or the dive that Salah did against villa, or the single yellow card that Milner received despite several yellow card offences vs City, or Jota running into Guaita to get a penalty
Or how about the Keita stamp on Chalobah with no red card, or the Lukaku goal that was clearly onside but ruled off. Both in the carabao cup

@@cell2179 I don’t want to argue about these decisions because they go both way and people have different opinions about them, but come on that penalty in the 80 something minute , it’s jaw dropping that it happened with VAR present.
that decision was so bad that mike Riley had to apologize. Referees never apologize so it goes to show you have disastrous that decision was

Howe easily manager of the season - if not for the coward and fraud Steve Bruce, Toon might have gotten European football, not bad for a team everyone labelled as going to be 'the richest club in the championship' at the end of January!

Liverpool would have won a lot more leagues if there wasn't an oil cheating club around. Absolute disgrace, they are ruining success for a team that absolutely deserves it.
