      I read his book recently and Roman sounded so annoying. After every bad result, Roman requested a meeting to discuss the result and demand answers as to why they lost. He would say Ancelotti isn’t hard enough on the players. This happened even in the season when we won the league in 2010.

    Carlo Ancelotti is one of the most under appreciated managers of all time. Also Chelsea makes a manager change every year. Tuchel will most likely be fired in a year. It’s not just the coach, it’s the players commitment as well.

    Slaven Bilic was always going to be sacked this season. West Brom only gave him a one year deal after he got them promoted, they had their plan set out before the season started. That was shown when his team drew impressively with City and he was still sacked.

    As a youth coach nothing is more damning than losing a game of football. I can't think, can't focus, my mind is wild, replaying every moment of the game in my head, the patterns, the fundamentals and the mistakes.
    I cannot imagine how this one moment compares to Premier League managers who are consistently under pressure, they've just lost or tied a game that they needed to win and the axe is looming over their heads at every turn. Worse they have to go in front of a camera, show bravado and comment on how they'll turn things around. It's damning.

    I always thought the Liverpool job was too big of a challenge for Rogers at the time due to his lack of experience, and it really showed in most of our seasons under him. Swansea to Liverpool is a big leap. He's more experienced these days so I'd be more in favour of his appointment if Liverpool were in a similar situation back in 2012.

      It was a very difficult choice, either way.
      Pellegrini knew it, the players knew it.

    Still feels really harsh that Watford sacked Pearson even before their relegation because he'd keep them up if he stayed there until the last game of the season. But I do feel glad now he's managing us (Bristol City) & hopefully does bits for us next season

      He was a great player, probably did have a winning mentality as a player. But that doesn't mean he has one as a manager. Same could be said of Maradona and other great players who turned out to be average managers. Some coaches are miserable after every defeat, they hate losing and their disappointment can be seen in their press conferences. Koeman doesn't even look remotely bothered that his team shipped five goals.
      Try to read slower so you're able to comprehend complete sentences before you begin hurling insults at people.

      @@nothathamzah I agree with the second part of your statement. Since the new year, he's done a really good job and galvanized a Barcelona squad that looked like it didn't have any cohesion. However, Barcelona is generally expected to win La Liga and the cups. With Koeman they will not be able to win the Champions League. Tactically he is not good enough.
