Very true, there has a been a massive anti-city media agenda since at least 2010 when they realised Sheikh Mansour was serious. It ramped up in 2014, when City failed UEFA's break even limit due to the wage exemption stitch-up with double standards evident from very early on(Liverpool failed it too, PSG were the worst culprits, they did have related party deals that were considered inflated but City never have in any official sense because UEFA's own auditors said otherwise and there's zero evidence to suggest they are related party either in the legal sense). The agenda has been in overdrive to a ridiculous degree since 2018, over some hacked emails that only City know the true context of what is written in(not Der Speigel who have been proven categorically wrong on some of the assumptions they made at CAS). With no proof to support the stories fabricated off the back of them from Der Speigel(known fabricators of sources and stories) shown by UEFA or the PL to date. The press and media show next to no balance in their coverage of it, to the extent that you could question whether 'innocent until PROVEN guilty' still exists as a concept. Yet look at the whopper manchildren in these comments, on full damage control(as if they're being paid for it) suggesting bias in City's favour from talkSport because someone said something remotely positive about City... They do it every time there's a crumb of balance offered up. No wonder mental health campaigns and agencies are ramping up their interest in the football community, these people are either childish compulsive liars or they clearly don't have any grip on reality. Better help are onto something.

Neither does any other Prem club tbf - you get £100m+ a season in the Prem for finishing bottom, and that's just TV cash + league prize money! And then there's huge "parachute payments" to the relegated clubs, for up to the next 3 years, of tens of millions.

The EFL demand money that has been earned by the Premier league. One of their excuses is that the Premier league couldn't exist without them. This is a fallacy; the Premier league is a world league now and it's getting more popular every day. It would be even better if the three teams from the top of the championship had to play off against the three teams from the bottom of the Premier league at the end of the season. The EFL also make it very difficult with their ridiculous ground demands that in turn make it very difficult for nonleague clubs to finance their journey to the league.
If there's no promotion/relegation the league will die.
