    Put the wheel size to 22 inch as Speedo more accurate due to fat tires. Power on hold + and - then hold - and the I side button to get into speed restriction and tire size LD. The assist level is - + and then - + and then Vol to change assist level.

The only issue I had was hooking up the handlebar post to the fork frame. It came apart after removing the white plastic piece. Then I had loose travel between the parts. Thank you I really appreciate it and overall I seen positive reviews everywhere I just think I got a bad unit. But after I sent the first message to the company I feel like if a bike comes broken there should be a way of them sending out a replacement bike and having that shipping company pick up that current bike from you to send back to the company. The average person is not going to replace a dead motor or a controller even if it’s a free replacement.

      Brilliant video. You are exactly right about this bike, it is a piece of crap. I purchased this bike after watching all the reviews about it going 28MPH which is complete rubbish, the fastest it goes is about 22MPH and that's going downhill. I bet a regular bike would go faster without any motor as going down hill, you will always pick up momentum. This bike is cheaply made and as heavy AF, the throttle use is a joke cause it kills your battery very quickly , even when not using the throttle the battery doesn't last very long and you definitely have to charge it after each ride. My bike also arrived with a damaged battery that couldn't be removed from the bike and also a damaged back light that was faulty. I've contacted Engwe and all they Doris send toy a stupid video showing you how to fix a problem that shouldn't have been there in the first place, total B.S. Luckerly I purchased this bike through PayPal so gonna get my money back . Just go on trust pilot and you will see all the negative reviews about this useless machine. I personally think all the positive reviews of this bike are fake and 100 % paid for by Engwe and the reviewers who are accepting this deal are just selling their soul for a few pounds and some subscriptions which is terrible. I wouldn't reccomed anyone to get this bike and don't belive the hyped up reviews saying it goes really fast and all that, any bike goes fast going down hill unless your holding the brakes going down. This company is selling faulty, damaged bikes and when you try to get a refund they mess you around and have you jump through lots of hoops. Just look at their return policy and you will see what I mean. Any excuse no to refund you. Thanks for your honest review mate. You kept it real but in this day and age , companies don't like reviewers like you because you tell the truth. Well done for that, your on the right path, don't follow these other reviewers and sell you soul for some pounds. 👊🏽

    Listen to this!!! bought the same bike with 2 baterries.With original battery that came in bike everything is perfectly well.But with other battery I have pretty similar problem as you...not egzactly the same...my problem is that when baterry is around 30 per cent more then it cut off!So it only may be the battery problem in my case!Max speed may reech 28 miles,but in most situations it is around 26 miles.You must in settings allow 100 per cent ...it is by default at 96 I think.

      retro, look at the bike reviews for Letric 2.0 XP,
      noone I watch on CZcams is having problems, its a 500W motor 800W peak, on paper lower than this, but it stays at max Class2 speed 20mph all day,
      and can be unlocked to class 3 26-28mph, 230 lb guys making it uphill 9 miles, there are YT videos on adding a 2nd battery for more range,
      Lectric XP 2.0 Step-thru seems to meet 95% of ebike needs, mine comes in 4 days, they built so many the past 2 years they know how to make sure you get something good.
      Im looking for a YT commentator who got a bad one I cant find it.
      A few people on ebikeforums has a controller go out after 3000-4000 miles and Lectric is big enough to have these in stock, its kinda like buying the Camaro over a Mustang if youre a car guy and know anything about resale and brand value.

      Im getting the Lectric XP 2.0 in a week.
      Am looking at getting this as a 2nd bike but the quality control leaves me very unimpressed.
      Its like they ship whatever they assemble and dont test, and hope enough people ignore the crap to make it worth its while.
      I love the specs here, but they havent learned quality control, at least Lectric has learned and doesnt ship bikes that may or may not be garbage, and you the customer has to sort it out with troubleshooting, and hoping they send a good replacement part.
      Testers have time for this rework bullshit during business hours, people working 8-5 do not! We don't want to waste money but want something that works out of the box 95% of the time.
      This doesn't sound like it works out of the box even 40% of the time.

    I fixed one that the cable where the controller was loose. This bike also known for the battery itself the contacts where just touching on the outside pins just bend over and middle pins were soldered. So had to run wire and solder it correctly. Motor use to cut out randomly. Check battery connections. Is a common problem.
    It a shame as bike ride Nicely and frame heavy duty. I like the bike just can not recommend to anyone else as most are not going to open where to controller to check connections and repair battery connections. They need to step up QA for sure is main issues with this bike. Did fix issues and does get up to 25 to 28 once resolve issues.

    The error 24 likely due to battery as they screwed up and solder wires to middle and push the two outer contacts towards the middle ones to make connection as only relying on small solder connection or push over and breaks contact when vibration occurs. Solder a wire over from middle pins to the outer pins make sure positive is positive and negative to negative side and check controller connections. If you have the 13 max amp controller contact them tell them does come on and they sent over the 19 amp controller, it will fit fine just tuck wires towards side and top and plate will go on. Silicone and heatshink the pins on the contact plate from controller to battery.
    Now keep wires in battery pack in middle as a tight fit and key switch is over the outer pins. Just solder a wire from middle to outer pins and towards center of pin instead of above, inside of above pins so clearance and just wrap wire around it before soldering it for strength. Silicone it using the non corrosive type and let it cure and put battery back together.
    I fixed 3 of this same eBike and the same issue.

    I had similar isues; the bike kept tunrning itself off. I tried replacing the switch thinking that was the problem, but it didn"d work. • @HostileHST
    @HostileHST Před 2 lety +3

    If it's cutting out, other possible things can be a switch in a brake lever acting up, lose wiring where the controller is located, and of course a bad motor as suggested, but could at least be worth disconnecting all removeable connections, reconnect, if that don't work, smack the brake levers good, at least you get some aggression out, lol.

    • @MrCentralDriver
      @MrCentralDriver  Před 2 lety

      The error 24 code would not come from a loose brake lever cutting the motor. If I was able to put a microphone on the motor you would hear grinding and a lot of vibration with the whole bike shaking. Before I put this entire video together I actually did check the controller and I did check the main connections that the website said the check and everything was plugged in perfectly fine none of the wires were bent or smashed none of the wires look burnt. So I really think it needs a new motor

      Cable could be broken cable behind the sleeving but I took it all apart even after the video. Checked out the controller. All the connectors. Couldn’t find it a issue anywhere. They might replace the motor and I’ll do it down the road when it comes in and make a video about it if they do. But the average person is not going to wanna fix a bike that was broken on arrival.

    Hey man, they came out with a newer upgraded version of the same EP-2 Pro. Would you still recommend this bike now that they updated it and its a lot quicker, and did you fix your EP-2 Pro? Or would you not recommend this bike/brand at all and instead go with the Engwe Engine pro which seems to work well for you, cheers.

    • @TheXxSPANKERxX
      @TheXxSPANKERxX Před rokem +1

      @@MrCentralDriver Nothing, the difference between the EP-2 Pro upgraded version is just the battery being 13ah instead of 12.8ah, and they might have addressed these errors that you experienced.
      However did you use your 1 year warranty to get the problem sorted, or did you fix it and it was a simple step missed or a loose wire missed during the assembly of the ebike?
      This video is holding me and my brother from buying this ebike, hope to hear from you soon and if you can honestly recommend this ebike.
