My biggest disappoinment is the elimination of the dock! Not sure what Apple was thinking when they dumped this highly popular feature.
I can’t believe that Apple is making everyone Re-Learn the buttons and swipes.
My elderly relatives are going to be very frustrated by these changes.

10 is the worst version of WatchOS to date. I still miss "Time Travel" which I used all the time back in the day to see what was next on my calendar. That was a useful feature. Stacks can go to hell.
Unfortunately, it still annoys me too. Wish it was a setting we can enable to have those old features. Time travel was an amazing tool too. That’s another great one they removed.
Hey I don’t know what time travel is but if you have a date complication on your face then one tap takes you to the next calendar event Hope that helps.

Now that I've watched a few reviews that weren't produced by Apple fanboys I've realised what a huge step backwards watchOS 10 is. There's no way I'll be updating my Watch Ultra as long as watchOS 10 looks and operates as it does.
this new OS10 is a BIG step back.
It's so bad, that I would pay to go back to 9...
I hate, that they took the watch face swiping thing away. Really hate it. I wish I could go back to 9 easily. Also the new apps grid is just worse. What are they thinking?
I updated tonight and I absolutely regret it already. Things have become clunky and irritating.

Thank you! Finally an honest review! I’ve been saying the same thing since WWDC. I like my quick app switcher and one button press to get to the dock. I’m hoping I can just stay on watch os9
I agree about the quick swipe between watch faces. I use that all the time and will miss it.

WatchOS 10 is crap. Removed features. Existing features take more steps. Control center from side button is a waste of a button. Smart stacks are worthless to me.

I think the Smart Stack is stupid for displaying an analog clock again when transitioning from one clock to another. What is wrong with you, WatchOS designer?
Can’t agree more, it’s so silly.
- swipe down on iPhone for control centre. Press side button on watch 😑
- can’t add some apps to widgets stack so can’t properly customise it.
- can’t rearrange apps by preference in app list mode, but you can in cluster mode 😑
- stop watch now uses full white face to kill battery I guess. 😑
- not possible to remove the date and time from Smart Stack at the top. I already have that on my watch face .. just let people customise what they want there!
- weather app is so over crowded. I don’t need a background image of a cloud when looking at a tiny screen 🤬
- scroll to the bottom of the Smart Stack and you accidentally scroll into cluster view and vice versa.

Some of the watchOS 10 changes were brainless and made no sense. Like the removal of swipe gesture between watch faces; changed ways of navigating to particular apps or screens; the "new" Stopwatch app that replaces all the text buttons (Start, Reset, Lap) with just icons, and the Lap button became just a grey dot... A grey dot? Which UI/UX school did you graduate from?
I hate WatchOS 10 with the exception of how to start multiple timers.
Watch face switch is ridículos now.
fast watch faces change is a must. My kid love to play with it. Now it's gone and she's sad about. Apple you don't want to make my child sad. Hopefully Snoopy watch face is awesome. But I still want to change faces with a simple swipe.
Smart stacks is just okay but nowhere near as good as complications.
WatchOS 10 is definitely the worst update ever.
I love how apple focused on wanted updates from its users but the execution is HORRIBLE! Definetaly won't be updating until they fix some stuff or at least give more options on how touse the watch. Great video keep it up!

Hey I'm not the video uploader, but if I remember from the video, I think you are referring to a Fallout themed watch face. As we all know there are no 3rd party watch faces, so like the Batman watch face the video uploader also briefly showed, I believe this is just done by using a 'Photo' watch face. You would need to get hold of the image (I'm sure if you googled Fallout apple watch face, it'll be in some forum somewhere), download it to your phone and then set that image to be used as a watch face on your Apple watch. Hope that helps.
I sold my Apple Watch Ultra and got a Swiss automatic. I don’t like the fact that the watch with the cellular plan doesn’t send messages unless my phone is connected to the network. Also, eBay auctions they are selling for about $350 right now, it depreciated about $550 in a year so it’s a terrible investment (it probably bottomed out.) plus it cost me $15 a month for the data plan. Simple math says no thank you.
Turn your Bluetooth off on your watch to send messages with wireless.

“Make sure that your Apple Watch can connect to your iPhone, cellular, or Wi-Fi. To send and receive SMS/MMS from cellular models of Apple Watch, your paired iPhone must be powered on and connected to Wi-Fi or cellular, but your iPhone doesn’t need to be nearby.
Even if your iPhone isn’t connected or powered on, you can send and receive iMessages on your Apple Watch when your Apple Watch is connected to Wi-Fi or cellular.”
It can send “iMessages” but not sms or text without the phone being connected to the network.

I miss swipe up for control centre, can’t think of any possible use for Smart Stack, miss sideways swipe for watch faces. Really wish I hadn’t updated.
The smart stack is useless. I really miss being able to open the dock to shortcut to my most used apps. I also hate that I now have to end a workout with two taps instead of one. I keep forgetting the second tap and then getting nudged to end my workout 🤦🏻♀️can I roll back to OS9?!
Absolutely hate ios10. Nothing wrong with the way the UI was. Ugh. Want to sell my Apple Watch now. Never thought I’d say that because of an update. But I did.

Why do you have the watch ultra on upside down?
To prevent my wrist from hitting the button when I'm working out, especially when using a barbell.
I have 3 watches, I installed the update on 1 and will NOT install this horrendous update on the others. Apple always manages to screw things up. Why change the button functionality. It’s idiotic now.
I disagree about the smart stacks. I never used clean widgetless watch faces. But now my widgets are my smart stacks and I am loving the snoopy watch face especially.
You just gave me a reason to NOT upgrade from my AW3.

As someone who uses the timer ALL the time, and am also seriously visually impaired. This new timer setup is AWFUL. I cannot read the stupid tiny fonts at all anymore.
i have been using my apple watch for about 3 years. and when i updated to watch 10 os and use it until now, well i hate it so much, i wanna go back to watch OS 9. i hate the stack its not usefull as vuck. why apple decide to make this. and the dock is gone. its hard to switch between apps. when i am on gym and wanna play music its never been so hard. i must open the app drawer than scroll, and when its closed suddenly its hard to find easiest way to go back the app. like in watch 9. so frustating.

Garbage I'm fine with my 20.00 apple watch series 2 from ebay its a watch it tells time doesn't need to make phone calls

True, they’ve used every single pixel on the display by redesigning apps just to signify the bezels on the older models, this also affects the battery!
I hate this new update. I understand it more graphics. But the watch becomes much slower. All the nee features worst. I thought i will just need to get used to. But no, its just the worst update ever. Good video though.

I hate ios 10. Bring back the dayandnight modus via the digital crown. Don’t want Apple to tell me when I need to have low light or not. Can’t do my job without this. Gonna sell my Apple watch Ultra because of this. Hate it. I’m an Apple lover but this is stupid and makes no sense.

OS 10 is a huge disappointment, particular for us older guys, due to the fact it is difficult to read‼️
Apple needs to stop the yearly major updates... It's always bug ridden with ill-conceived features that no one wants... Just make feature releases... Properly test your features... The shipping of beta software should no longer be tolerated. When you think about it... Apple ships a major OS every year for every device.. Then it takes 3-6 months to make it stable... You enjoy maybe 6 months of stable use before they do it again :/... I'm at the point where I'll just stay on the older version for 3-6 months from now on.. Then *I* will enjoy a full year of stable use before I upgrade again...

App switcher isn’t gone but the ability to double press to go back and forth directly form the current app to the previous one is no more possible… i guess you never used that feature… personally i was using this option often and now i must use the app switcher which is useless since it’s almost the same thing as going on the application list!

personally never understand why need change between watch faces using watch, why not use focus? Secondly, smart stack useless? think twice. Example you can see weather now faster than open weather app.. sleep time.. personally i love that. Only minor annoying thing is that time.. useless when you already see clock and date on watch face.
Switching between watch faces is the primary method of using the entire device for me - just like it is with swiping home screens in iPhone. Disabling this function that's been around since OS 3 makes the watch practically useless for me. Focus Modes don't make any sense at all for how I use the watch. Widgets are slower and more cumbersome than just flicking your finger to see far more information at once for as long as you want. I can quickly flick a finger to see my weather face or my workout face or my productivity face, etc - that's tons of data to observe in just a few finger swipes. It's BY FAR the most powerful feature of Apple Watch that's being removed for no good reason. I've been stuck with the beta since July hoping they'd resolve this "bug". OS 10 is an unusable disaster. I have an appointment to bring my watch to Apple for repair tomorrow to downgrade it to OS 9 🤞
@@anthony76agreed, just swiping to different faces was an amazing and I'd say essential feature of the watch that allows much more info. Classic Apple though that they're turning that off even though they don't have to and subbing in a weird "smart" stacked widget thing
