- This truck is so sick!! It is made from a HPI Savage XL 5.9, stretched, and a printed body with aluminium braces inside. The truck is over four feet long, and weighs over 50 lb when fully loaded! It barely fits in a normal door!
Upgrades since last time you saw it : stiffer big bore suspension, custom LED setup, air-ride suspension, belt drive transmission, and of course, tracks! They use the same technology as the rest of the Rc snowmobiles i designed, and share no parts with any other people's project. That been said, they perform way better than i ever thought they would.
More infos : Stock, unmodified differentials (somehow they last?) with stock diff oils.
I could add thicker oil, but i dont think it's necessary.

I don’t even know how I came across your video but I spent my morning watching it. Just amazing how much engineering of building your own stuff. It’s people like you that. Keep this hobby. Super interesting. It’s an amazing project.
Same here 😊😊!! Must be because we have similar interest and browser history📺.. but I think the reason this was brought to me is because I also build fully customized 1/7 RC cars.. I have not taken my designs to the printer yet but I am making stencils and building my parts from scratch!! So this channel will be fun to watch.
LEGIT work! A bunch of us in the 5th scale Clawback group were up in arms thinking this was on a Clawback model. Great work, nonetheless. And being an AVID fan of the Clawback and large builds - I am impressed and inspired. Very well done.
You've got some real imagination and talent. That thing is pretty awesome. Can't wait to see it once you have integrated the rest of your ideas.
Amazing build, Those tracks are awesome. Good job
GREAT JOB! Beautiful build. Video was a lot of fun to watch. Well done!
Awesome job building. Looks fun. Hello from Alaska. Keep it up.
Very very cool. Gives me motivation to get tracks for winter!!
You should! It makes all the difference in the snow! Especially if you have a load!
dude that was a great vlog on your build and an amazing one at that , seeing it climb that steep grass drop off and then towing you whilst your controlling it being towed is next level 10/10 thanks for such a great video now thats entertainment 🙂
Thanks for the files i do have an hpi savage can't wait to build it i have to rebuild my kitchen first
I had that same Rammunition truck it was decent for a radio shack truck at the time an it was a good size truck so to see the toy hauler u built just tower over it 🤯🤯🤯🤯
Awesome beast
This thing looks awesome. Some 1/5th scale solid front and rear axles would be sick too
Sweet RC
soo cool!!
That is awesome!!! Truck would be a 2015 or 2016. The 2014 was the previous style and the 2017+ has the cowl in the hood. Beautiful beautiful work man! Love it.
It was based off a 2015, yes
I’ve never seen an HPI Savage limo yet. I have now! 😂. Sweet looking build!
Haha! Thats a good one😂
Really cool!
It’s awesome RC so huge
I absolutely love this shocked you didn't use the Savage flux it has the big Axel's shocks and a pretty tough transmission but nonetheless i love this custom build good job man i like it wish i had a printer and the know how i would be building someone crazy shit
I wanted to use the HPI 5.9 engine in other projects, i had to... haha!
NIIIIICE 👌🏻
The Losi dirt bike would look awesome in the bed
Wow. I want that air ride set up on my 1/10 13lbs trail truck so bad. Would be so cool to adjust ride height via my radio. especially when I'm hauling a trailer, or want a little more bumper ground clearance
Sure! You might found it being a little bit tight to fit in a 1/10 tho. Lots of big pieces to fit... But it's so cool to see it work!
Thats cool! l built very similar Rc's on my channel!
Chevy will it have transmission issues like the real 1 also.. lol u know what I mean.. nice truck..
That's why I made my own trans😂 good one
I wanna buy a rc sled but its so exspensive
Are you going to or have you released the files for purchase for the snow tracks? I would love to adapt them to a scx6
Arent there already a printable set of tracks available for the scx6?
@@Pascal_Robert--Rc_Creations oh maybe there are! I just got my 6 ordered so I just started looking into tracks for it. I saw someone is designing a set on one of the FB groups currently but your set is a lot nicer. Do you know who made the set you're thinking of or what site they are on?
@@Emaxxspeed well i just saw a few floating online, I could not really know who made what.
Mine fit 1/5 trucks with hpi savage axles. Pretty far from a scx6 unfortunately
@@Pascal_Robert--Rc_Creations I just found a decent looking set from someone else in Canada so maybe I'll give them a try but they are only selling complete sets and I'd rather print them myself from the files, I just love the look of your tracks and my friend has one of your sleds and the track and drive setup looks and works great. I've worked with the skeeride stuff a good few times so maybe I'll try to make one for the 6 out of that set of parts scaled up a bit and modified. I'd still be interested in your files if you did want to sell them and then I can figure out how to get them to work on a 6 but it's totally fine if not too.
Either way though great job on the rig, the air system, the big hard body all combined with the great tracks make it one of my favorite custom large scale rigs I've seen! Keep up the great work!
Très bonne vidéo il est tellement gros
If your interested in a carbon fiber body for this truck lmk I’m sure we could work something out
That motor is so small, I'm shocked it could pull you.
Yeah! but a 4274 motor has a high energy density, you can easily pull a few HP through it. traction in the cold is actually the difficult part...
The plastic body of that truck is between 40 to 55 lbs.?!?
No, overall weight with the frame, electronics, sled deck and 2 sleds on top is 55 lb. No machines on top is closer to 40 lb.
Just guessing as i dont have a scale that can go above 5kg...
Very epic.!
Subbed & liked & best wishes from Scotland 🏴 🙏 ❤️ 📻 🕹️ 🔋 🚗 🚖 🚕 🚔 🚚 🚙 🚘 🚓 🚒 🚑 🚐 🚎 🚤 🚁 🛩️
Haha god damn its big 😂😅 but its cool. 🤘
How much is it to buy off of you?
Buy what?
The truck
would you trade for an erevo 😂
Why don’t you just carry extra batteries like everyone else?
Few reasons...
The battery is a decent size and there's nowhere to just lay the battery on. It needs to be installed with the body off, which can be a hassle when your fingers are freezing outside and you are by yourself. And finally the the lipo is currently permanent in the frame. But yes thats a design choice that could be reversed.
Having just a switch you can toggle between battery 1 and 2 would simply be the easiest option, especially on a long excursion.
Hey Robert I’m new to your channel, nice job!!! I still have not printed yet but I am a autobody painter and fabricator so I can relate to your projects! Lots of potential on your Chevy build!
That is dope as fuck
