I had trouble trying to fit this to my cb500x. The front rubber bungs came out when I tightened it. I see you had to cut yours down too? Is this not meant to fit the bike?

that is an aluminium base, right? what are the benefints and the downsides aainst for example the givi m7 monokey base? does it take heavier weights?

I think it is aluminium, i also not sure in comparison with M7 base as the reason i bought it bcos i like the look of it.

Does the top box vibrate or rattles when you ride?

So far no issue with the top box. No sign of additional vibration when comparing without the box setup. Cruising speed aroud 120 - 140km/h.
