    • @kraziiXIII

@@RobertMorgan it may be the age of consent in some areas but it still doesn't mean it was completely consensual due to the power imabalance of him being a teenager and her being a grown adult. Even if he was 100% down to clown, as a much older adult, she was responsible for turning him down and didn't. She crossed that line, not him.
Like we wouldn't be having this convo if it was an adult man and a teen girl. That's always my litmus test when it comes to this stuff.

@@RobertMorgan 15 or even 14 are ages of consent in some countries, but those teens are still protected when it comes to exploitation or manipulation in one way or another. And here comes the problem. On one hand a teen can give consent to an adult of their own accord, but on the other hand a case can still be opened because the adult has shown behaviour of grooming/emotional manipulation. Christian was a kid with unresolved trauma and emotional issues, and the case with Elena can be presented as that of a predator.

Now that he's coming to terms with allowing himself to be (his version of) vulnerable, with the type of woman he used to apply the submission he needed to project onto someone who resembled his mother. More sooner than later Parenthood, a hugely delicate subject for his psyche, appeared as a nuclear bomb to tumble the delicate equilibrium he was working to achieve.
He was a very disturbed person who actually got a little "together" by the boundaries of bdsm. So, on top of all his traumas and issues, he got a little together ¡¡¡by being abused!!! (!talk about bruised mind! )
Is not like he came out of a cabbage being like that.

As someone in the BDSM community, I always tell people to look at this like any other film based on a culture or lifestyle: it's exaggerated and more than likely written by someone who's never been apart of the community. Funny thing; I watched an actual BDSM expert reacting the Fifty Shades of Grey, & she actually hypothesized that Christian might actually be looking for a "mommy dom." Of course, for that interpretation to fly, the author would've had to have any semblance of an idea about what actual BDSM is like. Personally, I do think it'd be far more likely for Christian to at least be a sub.

I got married in October, still haven’t changed my last name. I keep planning to but it’s a lot of work.
Also, despite using birth control I got pregnant. My husband and me definitely aren’t billionaires and he definitely didn’t freak out like Christian when I told him I was pregnant. He actually took it better than me at first.
What is this story. Why is this story

Ana misses FOUR birth control appointments? In like the month or so that they’ve known each other?
I thought she had that cleared up in book 1? And I’m damned sure implants last several years?
    Confused

    Two things:
    1. I can't believe you didn't point out how friggin much Christian uses the term Yar in this book. Kindle search says 7.
    2. If you look at the timeline from when Ana got her shot to when she gets pregnant, her shot obviously failed. She gets her shot on June 12 and reveals her pregnancy to Christian Sept 13 (and I think the epilogue implies she got pregnant in August) Either way she should have been fine until Sept 4, and its highly unlikely for the shot to just wear off instantly.
    3. Ok 3 things. I noted that this book tries hard to redeem Christian after the pregnancy freak out. If you read Ana's side, she assumes Christian is avoiding her. In this book, Christian really is desperate to apologize but happens to really have back to back work meetings scheduled that particular night and next day and so doesn't get to apologize...before the kidnapping. I love fanfiction!
