- Today we transform the old LEGO room into something epic! Pool tables, couch, TV, kids area... this is the dream room! In this video, I walk through the process of setting this place up: fixing the walls, cleaning up, bringing in the furniture, pool table delivery, and much more. I LOVE THIS PLACE!

These videos might not include LEGO but I believe you are doing 2 things very well:
- You are not mixing things up: you put together several days of basement renovation and you didn't mix it into LEGO related videos
- It's very clear from the thumbnail what this video is about, so if people are here only for the LEGO, then they can skip this video
I believe that although your channel is clearly about LEGO, it always had a Vloguish vibe to it. It's about your life, your life just happens to revolve a lot around LEGO.
So keep doing what you enjoy and forget about the naysayers.
It’s sad that people are so petty that they criticize you for doing videos on your life and not Lego all the time. This is your life and your channel, they should feel fortunate that you even allow us to look into your life. Keep doing what your heart tells you to do, you have a beautiful family.
My wife and I enjoy spending time with you and your family every morning and, for what it’s worth, we thoroughly enjoy the videos with lots of family stuff. You are our favorite family and these past few weeks that have focused more on the studio and basement have been our favorites. We love you Bricksie just keep being you and we will keep watching
Couldn’t agree more
Well Said!!!
Same, the move videos brought me back pretty consistently these past few weeks
Although this is supposed to be a Lego channel, I'm really enjoying the parts with the kids, it's great to see them having fun in their new space. I have a 7 month son, and I can't wait that he starts zooming around like Ben and Millie. You have such a great family
Creep
It’s not supposed to be anything, it’s his channel he can do what he wants.
@@mattsink of course. I'm just saying I came here for Lego and staying here for his personality, family life AND Lego.
I agree with you. I came for Lego and have really enjoyed seeing Jordan and his family. In reality it is nice to see how hard he works and his skill set. Makes me want to “like” his videos even more
@@Av-vd3wkbro what he has childs to
from one father to another, I would highly recommend a wall mount for your TV. we bought a TV when my daughter was about 2 and somehow she managed to knock it off the TV stand. Fortunately I was close enough to catch and save the little one from the TV falling on top of her, but the TV didnt survive the fall. Could have been much worse had it happened when I wasnt around to slow the fall of the TV. Basement is looking great though!! is your new studio going to be open to fans? I would love to come by sometime and see your collection!!
I agree! Also it will appear to take up alot less space when on the wall...
Yeah they seem steady until a toddler tries to use it as a ladder. There are also safety straps that attaches to the back of table if you don’t want it on the wall. Looking cosy, you’ll have a great time relaxing with the family!
Definitely worth looking into wall mounting the TV.
Would recommend going the extra dollars and getting a pull out/swing Mount. You’ll thank past you for it when you want to get behind the TV and now don’t need to pull it off the wall to do so.
I thought you were about to say that you were fortunate enough to save the tv instead of you going to save your daughter. :)
I LOVE what you’ve been doing with the basement and would be gutted if we didn’t get to see more! Post what you want to post 😊
Basement looks fantastic!
Came for the Lego stayed for the renovation 😂
The renovation content is actually a nice mix up I'm enjoying it.
You need a dart board too now. And a cool old school bar style lamp over the pool table to complete the look!
Was the word PIVOT spoken, during the couch move?😂. But seriously, looking good. And you guys, will have so much fun with the pool table, in the years to come😀
Luna randomly shows up is still the cutest thing ever
Jordan, I hate seeing the feedback get to you. I am sure it's hard having to read dozens of even hundreds of people critiquing you every day. But try and remember most of the feedback exists because people support you and are invested in your life. Everyone has little things they think could make your journey better and so I am sure it's overwhelming when you add them all together.
I like this comment.
Hello Jordan, I just want to tell you that I really enjoy the renovation video for both the studio and the basement. They are both amazing. To think that 8 weeks ago your basement was a Lego room and now it's a great family room, I'm really impress. Great work! Looking forward to a few Lego video!!
I'm proud of you for trying to let the negative comments go. It's got to be so hard to see the good surrounded by a few bad comments. You're doing amazing with your channel, and I love watching all of these videos, including your family and reno content. Thank you for sharing your journey!
You are living the dream Jordan!
15:45 How cute 😂😂❤
I really like the moving and renovating videos. After spending so much time in the basement, it’s cool to see what you’ve dubbed with it.
Loving the cameos from Luna. Every cat should have a bookcase... and a way to sit on top of it. 🙂
i do not comment on any show but I think I really enjoy seeing you and the family enjoying Life and having fun the kids are growing up so fast and I've been watching the family scenes before the kids were born and have been enjoying watching them grow thank you please don't listen to them and enjoy your time with the family and the time with them and the show is really fun and Great ❤❤❤❤🎉🎉😊 😊
Nice pool game
Please don’t stop adding your life to the channel. There are plenty of only Lego channels out there but you letting us in is what makes all the difference, we get best of both worlds. Majority of us love the family, shopping, renovating, Lego combo. It’s you being you Jordan that makes this channel so wonderful.
So glad you have your Pool table. It looks great. The basement is looking good . Looking forward to more videos of the studio and basement.
Look great
If the kids section will be just left of the TV, I suggest that you mount the TV on the wall. It could easily happen that the kids push the TV and it falls on the floor. Especially because you have two kids and it could happen in play.
Yeah, pool tables are like pianos or grandfather clocks. It behooves you to have professional items specific movers to do it. Anyone interested in buying a pool table needs extra money for it. But conveniently any place that sells new and/or used ones will do it.
I actually need to sell my twenty year old pool table because we haven't used it in years. It's in an awkward room the makes for interesting shots. Needed a short stick for one wall. I currently have $2000 worth of LEGO on it. Talk about using a piece of furniture in an unintended way. It's a really stable Lego surface though holds 32 baseplates with room to spare.
Yeah I hope the novelty doesn’t wear off for him. He’s in the “honeymoon” phase with it now. 😊
I love that you include these peeks into your life. There is nothing to say it has to be all Lego all the time. A few members of my Lug and I had a conversation about your channel and the type of videos you make. We appreciate the step by step process of your builds, your thought process, and the way you evolve. It makes you and your content so relatable. Very much like The Tim Tracker. (Great Channel!) Keep up what you are doing! You won't be able to please everyone, so please yourself!
Much Love from Vancouver!
I’m enjoying the renovation & family content as well as seeing your new warehouse space take shape.
I like Lego but I also like DIY home renovations so it’s a win-win for me! ❤
So so happy to hear you won't be responding to the negative comments. No need to respond to internet trolls
What you could do - although it would be a fair bit of work - is one large cabinet that combines shelving next to the support pole on one side, a tv stand on the other, and joins up with an arch that grants the kids access to the 'kids zone'
As a kid my dad bought a 6ftx3ft snooker table for us kids. Was always an effort to get it out as it was heavy, but we loved it. The whole living room had to be rearranged to accommodate it. Obviously had it’s tight spots, but the memories made and the fun we had outweighs those little concerns. Enjoy your pool table and talking from experience, your kids will love it.
We enjoy these videos and seeing the renovations. Your kids are adorable! It’s been fun seeing them grow up and seeing their different personalities emerge. Doesn’t have to be all Lego all the time. Keep doing what you’re doing.
The basement looks really good! I want to do the same things in mine too. Maybe a pinball machine too?
That looks such a fun hang out area now for your family I was looking forward to seeing what you were turning it into.
Thank you so much for posting about all the warehouse reno & basement reno. Had a lot of problems in my own home doing our own reno and you had similar issues as us. It made us feel like we werent alone and it helped us stay positive when things went wrong. The pool table is a great idea, I can see Ben & Millie playing against each other or inviting friends over to play :)
Everything looks amazing!! Love the pool table. 🎉
You got the pool table! Very nice, my sister has one at her place.. so much fun!
The space looks great and the kiddos are so cute shuffling around down there with their Lego bags! I recommend mounting the tv to prevent curious kiddos from accidentally knocking it over/ banging toys on it (from personal experience 😅)
I followed you for the Lego content, but I only really started watching regularly when you started the studio renovations. I love your enthusiasm for ALL your projects, so please do keep doing non-Lego videos if you want!
I have been watching for the content you have been putting out lately. I'm a lego fan but I haven't subscribed yet because I would rather not only see lego review type videos.
basement looks great!!
for me, your channel is more than just a lego channel, its lego focused, but you're also sharing your journey to this dream that we all have as lego adult lego builders. I think its also important to document your journey for future generations who look at this as a blueprint of "how to create a business" from having a passion for lego. Your channel is also different than all the other lego channels which could have contributed to your success. I can listen to your videos in the background at work as theres more than just reviews.
Its especially nice to see someone else from Canada doing so well, when many of us are really struggling right now. its a feel good channel.
keep it up jordan!
I loved the construction content and stuff like the pool table I think sure a lot of folks here for the Lego content but there also a lot of people like myself that are just checking in see what bricksies doing whatever’s it is
I like what what did to the basement, but having two kids close in age I can tell you I would have turned nearly the entire basement into the kids play area with tons of things to do and just used a small area for your "home gym". Kids love to play and make noise!
Love it, love it, love it.
I love it that you shared with us the finishing of your family basement, instead of leaving it just empty after moving out the LEGO.
Enjoying the reno content.
I really enjoyed the glimpse into your family life, the moving of the studio and the basement reno. Would really miss the mash up of family and lego videos. You do have another channel though, if you don't want to mix in family with the lego channel, can you post (vlog) on the other one? Just hoping to still see the mix.
Nice work on the walls.
Looks great
Heck yes
Looks awesome!
Great family space! Many many fun hours will be made there! Hang the TV on that wall if at all possible. We got our son a pool table and it became the hang out basement spot for him and all his buddies. Great choice on the traditional pockets with the leather ball pockets. Congrats it’s a hoot seeing the twins having a blast with the LEGO bags and the foam scraps it doesn’t take much to make kids happy! Be safe and well!
I think the Thomas Kincaid pieces look great where they are. The Star Wars pieces would look great downstairs. My opinion; whatever you decide will look great. 🙂
Hey Jordan, you do you man. Don't let the negative comments get to you. If you want a pool table buy a pool table just because you have children doesn't mean you have to give them your whole home do what makes you happy man I love your content stay positive my friend.
Awesome!
You really crushed out that renovation. The table looks fantastic. I hope you get to enjoy it for a long time. I agree with some others about mounting the tv to the wall. It frees up a lot of space. Millie's laugh when playing with the Lego bag was the cutest little thing.
I love watching you renovate the basement and little snippets of the kids xx
Don't let the few rude comments ruin your vision or drive. 99% of us love any video we get from you and your family! Keep being you thats what made this channel the way it is!
Hi Bricksie. Your basement looks fantastic! An awesome space to hang out with your family and friends. I love that pool table. It's beautiful and reminds me of my grandpa's billiard table. He and my dad played many a time when we visited him and my granny. I'm a granny now myself and have tons of Lego in our family space. It was great seeing you all having fun. Way to go!
Be careful with the interlocking foam tiles, the weight of big kids and adults can make them curl, causing a tripping hazard (talking from experience 🫣)
Make sure no one puts glasses, especially liquor, on the timber of the table. It can leave really bad marks. Great investment for the family, at a great price too, well done! I love the look of a traditional table 😍
Command hooks might work instead of nailing into your pristine walls 😉
your family is the most adorable thing ever!!!! 😆😆😆
Wow!!! it looks great. What an upgrade for the family!! It’s crazy seeing that room without it covered in Lego.
Enjoy you deserve it ! You work hard and the family deserve to be rewarded for the support !
Great video! We appreciate your content!!!
No worries about focussing on the renovation work at the studio & in the basement - I've really enjoyed watching it's progress & Lego will always be around so we know you'll be back on it soon 👍🏻
We support you and continue to do what you love!
Loved this content
Playing a few days catch up on your videos, normally I watch early mornings before work, first started watching for the Lego but now enjoy your everyday life tidbits like this that you share, haven’t seen Luna for a while. Awesome basement layout. Not sure if I now want the pool table or the kids play area haha. Love that you have Friends on the tv.
The pool table is gorgeous. Love the wood finish and colouring. The space turned out great. To many happy memories there. 😊
What a beautiful improvement. Your kids will enjoy years in the rec room. My twin sister and I loved ours. Pool, tv, blasting music, having friends over, etc. making memories.
Love the new basement you have now. And I like that you love it. Good idea on what to do with the column in ‘hiding’ it with a shelf or something.
Suggestion for the pool table area: put a couple drink shelves on the walls to keep glasses off the table. And a couple stools on the corner are handy for the players to sit on between turns.
14:05 ABSOLUTELY LOVE THE Thomas Kinkade Disney pictures ❤❤
I really really really really really really love your basement setup however I'm curious as to why you didn't put the kids area back by your old office area you have them in an area where it would be blocked in you wouldn't have to worry about them going up the stairs you already have two cabinets there that they can put their toys in and they're out of the way and the fact that when you're walking down or having guests you're not walking through the soon to be disasters zone of toys which is every parent's delight I love your pool table I love all the stuff you've done
Ignore the haters! We love your family updates just as much as the Lego updates.
Be proud! Both you and your beautiful wife are hard workers and good parents. ❤
I know it’s your basement but moving the sofa to the back wall ( facing the pool table) and putting the tv on the other wall might open up the space and make it look bigger
Nice work guys.
I absolutely 100% love your content. Lego, renovations, children, animals and generally life. Lots of love x
I truly enjoy the fact U share U'r beautiful family with us in U'r video projects....it reminds us we need to be grounded in what truly is important, so thank U for continuing to share U'r precious love ones with us. The basement looks great & U'r father-in- law's idea about the TV is on point. Looking forward to more of U'r videos & the lego city, thanks for the continued inspiration for me to grow my lego neighborhood. My luv & respect to U & U'r family. 😊
Love the pool table thumbnail!!! total family cave now!
Great vid. I do love seeing the progress vids on the studio but also love seeing family stuff and how you’re finishing off the basement. Great seeing the kids grow up. Huge Canucks fan here so definitely looking forward to seeing them take out the Oilers LOL!! Go Canucks Go!!!
LOL progress in literally insane
You film what you want. I love watching your channel!!
Congrats Bricksie, enjoy
It looks amazing! The amount of work you have done is incredible. amazing!!!!
Enjoying this series but a thing that keeps popping into my head is 'is this guy like super rich?!' You must have spent thousands upon thousands of dollars in the past couple of months, with two young children as well, I don't know how you're doing it! Very impressive though
Great job in your basement. It will be so fun to have the space for your family. I love all your content!
The home life, basement renovation and the new Lego Studio are all AWESOME! You have done a ton in a short amount of time! GOOD JOB👍👍👍
Not gonna lie I’m enjoying the vlog style and renovating.
do not forget the outlet covers
Table looks great. A classic color combo. The wood framed art pieces will look really good in that corner and tie that side of the room together.
Love what you do and I'm really enjoying watching the basement renovation. Can you post a shot for shot of the basement before and after when you are done? Congrats on doing everything. You are a little ball of mad and fun energy and I am here for it!
I love your lego video's, but I'm also enjoying the family/rennovation vlogs.
I must say Bricksie is always a mostly happy person but in this vlog I saw you smile more and bigger than any other video before...Its so obvious your wife and kids mean the world to you..doing this for them just brought out a side of bricksie I haven't seen in a while..awesome..
Fascinating to see what you’ve done in the basement. Enjoying seeing it come to completion
The pool table, it's beautiful!
beautiful pool table
Just wall mount the tv no cabinets it will just make that area feel smaller
Awesome , you will be able to play while watching tv and watching the kids . Awesome basement. Thanks for taking us along for the ride .
Love the final transformation off the basement bricksie looking amazing. Great to see the kids and wife enjoying it too . Can’t wait to see the new warehouse transformation and how it turns out . Really happy that all is going your way you guys deserve the best . Thanks for the videos really enjoy them . Keep up the good work
