    I´ve been researching intensively during these days of easter break to upgrade.
    I found pretty shocking to have suffered so much to find a video like this.
    I am not interested in the 2fps differences or clock speeds.
    I am looking for the most efficient coolers and noise to get an idea of the fan curves I´ll be able to set to get the noise as low as possible. See if there are any issues with software. And finally build and comp quality. This video somewhat covered the last two points. Crazy to realize this is the first video I´ve been able to see the software after researching all week.
    I come from an EVGA1080 Ti FTW3 and even though I had a 970 Strix in the past, this video has been pretty useful to me, as I don´t have any experience with the TUF brand.
    Keep it up man!

    The Asus 4080 Super TUF Gaming card is incredible for 4K gaming, and the cooling is so amazing that almost immediately after you exit gameplay, the fans shut off. Had the R9 270 TUF Gaming way back when I Built my PC with the FX6300... That was about 10yrs ago almost I think now and as for Brand Loyalty.... ??? I like to Tinker too Much for that to be a Thing...
    So, since then that PC has been Rebuilt with the 7800X3D and an ASRock PG B650E Riptide and a 7800XT... When I had the TUF in the Original Build, I had gotten a GTX 1650 Super OC from a Friend of mine to Try Out, and since I'd been Swapping between AMD and nVidia for Years to see how one behaves compared to the Other, I gave it a Shot... The 7800XT hasn't had that Chance yet with the 16 Pin High Power Issues, I was staying away from them until things got Sorted, and it sounds like they're making More Progress than they had been, so it's Time to see how the two Compare...
    HOWEVER, I won't go Below 16gb or a 256 Memory Bus, since that's where the 7800XT Lives, this Counted Out the 4070 Super, and the 4070 Ti Super seemed to have Issues of it's Own just by it's Placement in the Lineup and How it Got to Be... With the Costs being what they were already, I Opted for the TUF 4080 Super OC and just Bite the Bullet, it oughta be here this Weekend, we'll see... Already have the PSU to Match it, made that a Point when I Rebuilt the PC as it was, that was Before the Meltdowns, it's a Vetroo GV1000 so it'll have plenty of Juice for anything the Card'll want... Besides, I wanna see this new nVidia App and see if it Works better than the GeFarce Experience did...

  • @deuswulf6193
    @deuswulf6193 Před 2 měsíci

    A lot of the TUF styling is a missed opportunity for them. Take the Mobos for example, they are not much better than the Prime series, with minimal plating covering the IO. Sometimes the branding actually makes it worse. They had the right idea early on with a lot more "metal" bits thrown in to cover the PCB, but now it feels very minimalistic.
    Their GPUs lack consistent design language with the rest of the brand as well. For example, the triangle bits on the GPU when seen horizontally. The rest of the brand seems focus more on boxy design elements, rather than triangles. Imagine if they had an EVGA like kingpin mesh between the shield and backplate? Or copper tubing? Design wise its just low effort these days.
