  • With the release of the newest Batman movie, I wanted to reflect on what I considered a strong era of Batman games growing up. Of course, we always go to the Arkham games (and rightfully so) but this collection of games meant a lot to me growing up. So, in celebration of a new era of Batman, let's reminisce!

    • @donjon1179
      @donjon1179 Před 2 lety +7

      It’s way better than Sin Tzu, Vengeance is a toss up. Heath Ledger dying had a massive impact on why the sequel wasn’t made and even then they still made a mobile version that was fun! If heath lives then I think they make the dark knight video game and I think they ratchet shit up to 1000. The only thing that would’ve propelled The Dark Knight further past the legendary status that it currently has would’ve been a polished gritty video game that probably could’ve changed the course of history with the Arkham games. You might not ever get the Arkham universe if The Dark Knight game would’ve been made.

I just couldn't get Into It, though. I suppose the new Beat 'Em Up direction that Ubisoft went with just didn't work well with Me. I just preferred Vengeance's more direct Adventure/Stealth style.
    I do also have Vengeance on PC too. It's just a really shoddy Port when It coems to the Lighting and Character Animations. Enemies just have static faces and the Lighting doesn't have any actual shading.
    I am hoping to see a Modding Scene open up for Vengeance on PC, though. That would be amazing and Is something 8/9 year old Me wanted back In 2001.

    I loved Vengeance and Begins. They were so much fun to play when I was a kid, especially Vengeance. My favorite level was the Batwing VS Freeze Copter.
    Sadly I never played Rise of Sin Tzu. It never really piqued my interest.

    I remember seeing Dark Tomorrow screenshots on old magazines back in the day as a kid. Never got to place it once but thought it looked cool. Years later, I was wrong

    Can you imagine being a batman games fan falling into a coma in 2008 and waking up after arkham knight was launched?

    Dude I fucking miss instruction manuals so much. I remember always opening up any game I got in the car leaving GameStop so I could read about the game before I played when I got home.

    Nothing will beat the focus of Arkham Asylum for me
    EDIT: I'd recommend Matt McMuscles - What Happened video on Batman Dark Tomorrow

    Batman Begins introduced the concept of scaring enemies and using fear years before Arkham

    Man I played/loved all of these but I rented them all from a family video and the copy of Vengeance would consistently freeze up on the beginning when you’re sliding away from the explosion 🤦‍♀️

    Ps1 games come with a separate card for the cover art so unfortunately your ps1 game is not complete. Great video thanks 😊 I love Batman

    I had all three of these and bought Batman begins at Sears brand new with the movie ticket but I had already seen it in theaters by then but I loved the Arkham asylum area and different batsuits

    Batman Begins is my favorite Batman game outside of the Arkham series. Beat that game so many times.
