Glad you checked out Polyphia, they're a go to for me with music I chill to while getting some work done lol. Amazing instrumentalist all around. They do have quite a few featured vocalists on their tracks as well.

I remember way back when there were so so many Babymetal haters. I took so much pride as a fan when extremely talented stars came right out and said they loved BabyMetal. Chad from RHCP sings happy birthday to Su on stage. Rob Zombie told the gatekeepers to go to h*ll. Right away other cool bands performed with BabyMetal. Things have evolved as the haters are far and few between nowadays; many cool people helped and that makes me proud to be a human.

Polyphia is a guitar band, no vocals that I'm aware of. Here's Ego Death featuring Steve Vai: czcams.com/video/1JNmz17gnMw/video.htmlsi=EYqajRlTwboDyxNQ
A bit more rock in this one.

Hey Joel, Polyphia is one of the few bands I fell in love with (along with The Warning, Sleep Token and Lorna Shore) in the past 3-4 years. They were originally shredders and became more progressive with each record. I recommend checking out G.O.A.T, Euphoria, O.D. and Ego Death (with Steve Vai)

Polyphia features Sophia Black singing on "abc". Kotono, Hazuki and Lisa X cover the song. Would be a good comparison reaction?

You said you like heavier stuff that has a singer - maybe give Bloodbath a try? Its from the same album and the instrumentals are super heavy. Chino Moreno (of Deftones) sings in it.
Other songs with vocals are 'So Strange', 'ABC', and maybe a couple others that didn't get too popular. ABC is very much a J-pop song.
    They're mainly an instrumental band.

Tim Henson and Scottie LePage are this generations Vai and Satriani. Try G.O.A.T or 40 oz.
