There is a layer underneath so the hooks are not in contact with the skin.

Should one wait till after surgery to buy a faja? How do you know how different your measurements will be pre and post op?
There are two ways. #1 is to got to Ogee Recovery website and look at the sizing guide and watch the sizing video and pick one size smaller and that will fit you after surgery. You can order it online and then take it to your surgery. The link is: ogeerecovery.com/collections/ogeefaja
Or, #2 if you are having surgery with me you can wait until you come in the office for your consultation with me and then a member of the team can measure you and pick out a faja for you.

It's more adjustable than other fajas because it has a wider row of hooks so it will decrease the number of fajas people have to buy and you can also alter it if needed. There certainly will be people that have to downsize still with the Ogee Faja but just less often.
Is it possible to just purchase two different sizes. One for surgery or after surgery and one for after the swelling goes down that you would be smaller if that makes sense. So you wouldn't have to get the faja taliored?? Up coming procedure with you Dr William June 14 2023 T. Johnson

Can I wear a under shirt under my stage 1 faja? The lipo foam rubs up against my skin especially when I'm getting up and it is kinda painful with me being fresh outta surgery.
Sure. Just make sure that the shirt is not creating creases under the faja.

For a tummy tuck do we put this Faja on immediately after surgery or wait?
For my patients I have them wait two weeks after a tummy tuck to wear their faja but I would check with your surgeon to see what they suggest.
Is this faja good or is there a different style if you got fat transfer to hips?
The Ogee Faja was specifically designed for patients who had fat transferred to their hips.
I’m 4 foot nine so I have a usually too long on the torso area for me. What do you recommend?
To be honest I'm not sure. It might be that the Ogee Faja just won't fit you. I don't know of an alternative brand. Sorry. I wish I could be more helpful.

We suggest having 2. One to wash and one to wear.

During the last 6 weeks, for the 12hours, does it matter what time during the day to wear the faja ?
Most patients wear it during the day when they are up and tend to swell more and then sleep without it. But You can do the opposite if it is more comfortable for you.

That's great to read. The Ogee Roller is 💣. Rolling is something that gets overlooked so often but it is easy to do, can be done early and often, and smooths the skin.

I’m 7 months pos-op tummy tuck and flanks lipo. I’m creo I’m still getting swollen and the faja i was wearing i felt it was not doing the correct compression. Would i benefit by using the ogee faja? And if so, how long should i wear it for?
At 7 months a faja is not going to help you. I would see your surgeon to see why you are not happy with your shape--it is most likely internal fat but see your surgeon to make sure.
What maintenance should one be doing at 3 months post-op?
Just eating clean and exercising. Limit your saturated fats and eat healthier fats like salmon and tuna and nuts and limit the processed carbohydrates and the saturated fats like bacon and meat, cheese and butter.

I would check with your neurologist, but from a plastic surgery point of view sciatica doesn't affect things as long as there are no neurological deficits.

It can't. Lipo removes the fat but cannot remove a scar.
Sorry to bother you again my doctor doesn't do any lipo at all, what surgery would I need to remove all the fat and loose skin after having this type of tummy tuck? I will also need breast lift with Aug, plus arm and leg lift. I lost half of me plus regain of 66 pounds
It's a long journey after weight loss. Start with the TT and get rid of the skin and then the liposuction will help remove fat and get you a better shape. Do the lipo 12 months after the TT. Then work on arms and legs. Doing too much at once can make for a difficult recovery and compromise your results.

I'm in my 9th week and I still keep getting swelling pockets on my lower back because the faja is digging into my sides and causing major dents that keeps being hard for my massage lady to cavi out. 2hat should I do about the faja folding into my sides and causing the skin dents?

I designed the faja. I graft fat to the hips. It is meant for recovery from a BBL. There has to be some compression in the hip area--not as much as in the key area of course.

A. It doesn't compress much below the waist even though I checked off the extra compression there on the form order.
B. It's waaaay too tight in the waist - causing very red skin - faja burn. Bought the extender and still too tight in the waist!
C. The rods were extremely uncomfortable, turns out, everybody rips them out, so did I because they were intolerable.
D. The shoulder straps are very wide - prefer bra width straps as then the faja can be worn under more versatile clothing options.
Garbage! I don't wear it, money down the drain 👎
Thank you so much for that explanation! There is such a trend to over compress. People think the faja will get the the result their surgeon didn't--not possible. The faja is there to help but adding rods and super, super small waists can be harmful even--as you pointed out. Thank you for sharing your experience.
