TMNT (also known as TMNT 2007 or Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2007) is a 2007 American computer-animated superhero film written and directed by Kevin Munroe.
Based on the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles comic book series. The film stars the voices of James Arnold Taylor, Nolan North, Mikey Kelley, Mitchell Whitfield, Chris Evans, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Mako, Kevin Smith, Patrick Stewart, and Zhang Ziyi with narration by Laurence Fishburne.

Oh wow, because I watched this video I got recommended another video about how this movie is a "underrated masterpiece" lol.
I'd gotta say, your spitballing ideas are things I'd wish it was in TMNT. It would've added depth, more layers, and would increase the rewatchability of the movie.
This is a film I'm kinda 50-50 on. Not bad, but not great. There are good parts & parts I don't care for.
The only thing I'll defend is the piece of music for the Nightwatcher. I enjoy that alot to this very day.

Now I've never been a die hard turtles fan, but I have seen all of the theatrical films and I can honestly say that it's my second favorite behind the 1990 film
I think it's slightly underrated but not really because even though I really like the film it has a lot of flaws and u pointed some major ones and this version of Leonardo is probably my least favorite part of this entire movie, awful writing on his character
I actually thought the villains were cool, I liked their designs, granted they ain't Shredder but it is what it is, also I always forget Chris Evans was Casey in this lmao
I love this movie and I really like the songs that were used in the film it’s one of my favourite 2000s films next to titan ae and Disney’s Atlantis

This movie is a major disappointment for me because it was boring and so frustrating to sit through.
Also, why the hell was this made by Warner Bros, they got it all wrong.
The Kung Fu Panda series were a thousand times better than this movie because that’s TMNT done right in my opinion.
Well around the same time New line would be bought by Warner Bros
I liked the Leo and Raph rivalry. I looked at it as "having the courage to speak truth to power". Leo's the leader and he WAS being a big headed hypocrite. Raph was the only one who looked close enough to call him out for his BS. That's why Leo lost the fight. Power went to his head and he got humbled for it. It's a great lesson for anyone who wants to be a leader. It was my favorite part of the movie. The sai is a really cool weapon, made to combat the sword! You're right though that nothing else in the movie is memorable. Nothing else even mattered really.
I liked the cgi in the film! And Raphael's alter ego was a compelling change of pace.
But the thing is, the movie never called Leo out in his hypocrisy. I don't think the movie ever conveyed that in any satisfying manner.

i remember being excited for it somewhat, though i wished it had been live action but thought the movie was ok, decent to pretty good at times, the turtles have so many cool looking creative not paper thin bad guys and allies, i mean they can be a fantasy/sci fi/martial arts dream honestly if done right and with respect really...i was looking at a video talking about the old nes games or snes games and its like man, i'd love to see them on screen, i mean, they have the comic books to even look at and cheat off of, damm

Practically this is the best tmnt movie we got! So what if it is underated and didn't have any sequels! This is an awesome movie!
Yeah I didn't like this one. First time I saw it sucked. Second time I saw it, worse. It's a very forgettable film.

I thought this film was okay but it had many flaws. I did like it a bit more though now than when I saw it in the theatre back in 2007.
Some funny and enjoyable actions scenes, yes. But too slow and kiddish. Also, I never got why Leo had a problem with Raph being a vigilante when they all basically are. Best fight of the film though, as the rivalry felt very real, and went off the rails there.
I actually enjoyed this animated feature 😎 I liked the pace,plot,villians,animation&depiction as well as how april and Jones was portrayed 😎 it had a fresh style and approach, which may not be for everyone but it most certainly was for me personally 😎 a very pleasant surprise!
I enjoyed it too, even if it is flawed. The CGI looked amazing and the voice cast was top notch. Especially Nolan North as Raphael. My only regret is that I did not get to see this on the big screen, I had to wait until it hit DVD in the summer.
I like this film and Batman vs TMNT! We certainly have different taste in the Turtles.

@@mancavetheater1240 I'M not a film commentator , and I can't describe why, but these films feel like TMNT unlike the atrocious Michael Bay films.
Man, I can't wait for him to do an EPIC RANT on the 2021 film Music.
I remember seeing this movie, it's decent but could've been better.
And I'll admit Leo is my favorite turtle but holy shit he's a hypocrite, Raph humbled the hell or should I say shell (yup I went there) out of Leo.
I give this movie a 5 out of 10.
my main problem with the movie was the villain. The villain didn't fit at all. He wasn't even a villain he was more of an anti hero.
I'd say this is a 5/10 for me. Has some good things but is just mostly bleh. I must say however that every time a new tmnt film is released I appreciate this more and more.

I re-visited this film last year it still sucks balls that's way I never hated the 3rd live action film I still rather watch that sequel above this piss poor CGI film IMHO. A really wonderful job on ripping this film a whole new asshole!
9:08 Bruuuuh, I never knew that. Now I'm mad because I am a huge fan of Mikey and Donnie and he was supposed to get his own story in the sequel that never happened because their first movie sucked.
But at least this movie made me love Ralph (best character in the movie no doubt) and the nightwatcher score is awesome.
It's also upsetting that we'll never seen these designs for the turtles used ever again. And fuck Leo.

I can't believe I missed this review. I'm not a huge TMNT fan like Matt but I love weird and obscure stuff like this. I saw the 2007 TMNT and it was meh. I know Razorfist liked it. The villains were whatever and Splinter didn't even look like a rat. The Leo vs Raph fight was cool but it wasn't as epic as people make it out to be. I think the Leo vs Raph dynamic was done better in the comics. I don't have a bias because I don't have a favorite turtle, I like them all equally. And of course nobody called Leonardo out for being an asshole, they just gloss over it. This movie definitely did not live up to the hype.
Sarah Michelle Gellar is infinitely better as April O'Neal than Megan Fox. What a horrible casting for the role. Michael Bay must have been on crack to cast Megan Fox as April.
DO NOT let Paul W.S. Anderson get his greedy hands on the Turtle Franchise.. Anyhow, I dislike this movie. I tried to watch this movie many times. I can never finish watching it. It sucks.. I ended friendships over this movie, for they loved this movie. Seeing this movie at stores and in people's houses makes me internally upset to the point of traumatisation.. This movie sucks. Like Resident Evil: The Final Chapter, it is too unwatchable. Folks who like this movie, why?
Have you not seen Resident Evil: Afterlife? If you have a good sense of great media, this movie would not be at all included. And, yes, if anyone likes this movie, get away from them pronto. As for you automatically assuming that I have a 'very sad life'. Quite the opposite, girlfriend!! Stop self-projecting, will you.

Here is an example: Resident Evil is a garbage movie, by far. There is no grey area for debate. It is just is. Therefore, whoever likes/loves it and everything in-between, I do not want to hangout with you. I will avoid you like the black plague. Unless you change for the better and see the light! Plus, I will question your mentality for liking/loving said media.
