- My long uncensored, spoiler filled, profanity laden, no holds barred rant on Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles(2014) aka. Teenage Mutant Nasty Taints, starring Megan Fox, Will Arnett, William Fichtner, Alan Ritchison, Noel Fisher, Pete Ploszek, Johnny Knoxville, Whoopi Goldberg, and Tohoru Masamune.

Don't forget, Nick screwed up the rugrats. Also, why wasn't Jane Levy cast as April? She's hot, she's a redhead and she can actually act!

the new turtles look wierd and from what i seen from the trailer i am gonna give it a pass and yes mike they should get just one writer they dont need 3 then it becmes a cluster fuck of bs cause they all give their creativity from 3 ppl

I thought this movie was just bad, as opposed to horrible. The turtles had no personality, the cgi was so bad it looked like an animated movie at times, Megan Fox was a big nothing, it had no charm, no heart, the writing and humor was pretty limp, and the action lacked excitement. But it was sit-throughable, and it was only 90 something minutes long. If it droned on for two-and-a-half hours, like Bay's worthless Transformers flicks, I would've absolutely hated it, but as it is, I didn't hate it, I just didn't like it.
Don't you just love a ninja movie with no ninjas in it? 🥷
Maybe the michael bay of the 90's would've made a decent r-rated turtles movie but def not the michael bay of today.
I'd also say guillermo del toro would make a great turtles movie after what he accomplished with the hellboy movies.

I actually agree with you OcpCommuncations. I had hope for that movie. A couple of years later I watched the sequel Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of The Shadows because it had Krang, Rocksteady and Bebop in it. I was so disappointed. I watched The Ninja Turtles cartoon of the 80's. I'm a fan of the characters. I just couldn't stand the look of Ninja Turtles in the 2014 film. I would rather see the CG series of the 2010's than that crappy excuse for a reboot of a series.
The 2007 CGI movie is way more better than this and I like that film alright.
I love sponge bob, Nicky just does not belong in the turtles.
TMNT 2014 sucks! the Turtles look like green Ghostbusters Marshmallow Men, April O'Neil looks like some tough macho Austrian biker babe, Shredder looks like a little Japanese basketball player with kitchen knives all over him, and the Foot soldiers look like G.I. Joes!
with as silly as turtles 3 diolog was i can atleast say some good things about that the actor who played walker did well
Megan Fox looks like a female British dance pop singer with long stringy black hair and wearing a leather motorcycle jacket!

This isn't a good movie, but honestly, I don't hate this film as much as you and Matt do, mainly because, I'm not a number one Ninja Turtles fan like you and Matt are. I mean, I am a fan, but I like them more for guilty pleasure reasons. Because I will admit, the Ninja Turtles franchise does have a crap ton of issues with it, and there's a lot of things about it that don't make sense, and aren't fully fleshed out, which I'll give this movie credit, I felt it did at least try to do. Did it fully succeed? No, but I'll still give them credit for at least trying.
But yes, I can definitely understand why diehard fans like you and Matt hate it. Believe me, I do. I'm not gonna defend it, I know it's a bad movie, but it did a couple of things that I thought were improvements.

i agree with your rant but i dont agree with keeping the same design from the 90s. the turtles needed a modern re-design that looks more real life turtle like and less like the cartoon but still done in live action. just not the awful design they went with which didnt look like turtles or teenagers at all and more like big fat hulking ninja troll fish.
bottom line the movie was a awful awful mess, the designs, the script, the acting, the action. all of it was bad
Shredder and Michaelangelo in this movie are cringe-worthy! Mikey is so off-putting and obnoxious, I swear Michael Bay wrote his lines!

great rant mike i hated this movie i feel bad for kids today this film was bad like the robocop 2014 crap remake.
I’d rather watch TMNT III then this fucking movie, I absolutely hated what they did to master splinter in this movie, I mean yeah he punished his sons in the original movies, but what he did was harmless, in this movie he’s literally a fucking child abuser, abuse is not discipline and that’s not what splinter would do for fuck sake. Splinter just made them do 10 flips that’s harmless, but in this movie he’s choking them and torturing them for information, I’m like WTF.

0:53 in my opinion the last good Nickelodeon film they had was The Adventures of Tintin: Secret of The Unicorn (which I recommend if you haven't seen it)
& the only good cartoon show they have is The Legend of Korra (highly recommend)

It's amazing how a once great network can decline in quality programming. Sure, Cartoon Network has had its dark age, but has since climbed back up the later, with Adventure Time, Regular Show, Star Wars: The Clone Wars, Steven Universe. The most substantial praise that can be given to Nickelodeon is that Spongebob is improving, that's it.
Well Funsize wasn't that bad, other than that I'd say Good Burger.

I can understand why that's your opinion and I respect that, but I knew this movie was gonna suck when I went in, I had high hopes for 3 as a kid and was severely disappointed. I guess it's just personal experience.
To me they fucked them up when they went away from the original comics lol, granted I love the cartoons that followed but they were still just 23 minute ads to sell toys. The first movie was fucking ace though, never gets old.

I didn't feel it was this bad, now don't underestimate that, this is bad but nowhere near as worse as it could have been. I did feel for the Turtles because unlike Fox's April they had some semblance of the original characters, the fights were decent but that's about it and didn't mind Knoxville or Will Arnett.
Now should this get a sequel...no but it made money so more milking the Turtles cash cow. 2/5.

I didn't mind this movie. I saw it for free at a screening. There was a dude sitting next to me with his daughter and I thought a lot of the stuff was inappropriate for a so-called 'family' film. I just look at as a TMNT movie in an alternate universe where they ripped of the plot of Amazing Spider-Man. Also why are they jacked? They look more like teenage steroid ninja turtles 🤣 the one thing this movie didn't do was call fans sexist like Ghostbusters 2016 did. Megan Fox told people if they didn't like the movie to fuck off...and what is she doing now? Probably Onlyfans 😏
i wonder why they cant come up with at least an accaptable design these days, robocop, transformers, turtles, any given franchise the updated design look BEYOND HORRENDOUS, mostly look like generic marvel stuff(=shitty), and marvel stuff only the cartoons are good for watch, not the real life movies

Cool Rant/Review Mike, Fuck this fucking movie to hell with Saddam Hussein. For April o Neil why couldn't they get that redhead chick from The Evil Dead remake and T.V.'s Suburgatory Jane Levy i think her name is? or Phil Collins's hot daughter Lily Collins even them are better actresses then Megan Foxx/Coxxx whatever, i just want Cynthia Rothrock to come in there n kick her fucking arse, but yup fuck it to hell am not gonna watch this or Expendables 3 seen RoboCop Remake/RoboDick and thats done me enough damage.
I enjoyed this more then TMNT 2, 3 and the shitty CG one from a few years ago. I also thought they captured the personalities of the turtles perfectly and, honestly, it's the best we were ever going to get. It's not THAT bad.
Problem is people can't wash out their shitty nostalgia eyes and actually enjoy something.
This is coming from somebody who has a picture of Alf as their profile? And you of all people are talking about nostalgia? Don't give me the nostalgia bullshit. Everyone is nostalgic about something. And if they aren't they are lying. Even by itself on it's own I thought this movie sucked ass. It is fine with me if you like it but do not use the nostalgia reason as why I don't. I listed multiple other reasons why this sucked other than just nostalgia. It was boring, the screenplay sucked, there is barely any martial arts at all in the film, and the personalities and the characters could have easily been written better. If this was BEST we could have gotten? That is pathetic. But go ahead, enjoy the movie. But no need to throw out the nostalgia argument. It is just as tired and cliched as I thought this movie was.
If you want to enjoy Boners, Mikey farting in faces, a movie that has more 'Megan Fox' than the Turtles, the Turtles having Zero Brotherly Moments or Bonding, and an extreme lack of martial arts in a NINJA Turtles movie...then You Can Keep It. Stick with that and your God Damn Apple Sauce.

I think that guy needs to have his brain sucked out and fed to a bunch of rabid dogs! As a fan of the CLASSIC Ninja Turtles myself, I'm with you guys! Even I'm nostalgic about a lot of different things! For someone to say this POS was better than 2, 3, and even the 2007 one, I think this guy must have been dropped on his head multiple fucking times as a child and doesn't know what constitutes a GOOD Ninja Turtles film or a GOOD film in general! If this shit is good to him, then more power to him but to me it was FUCKING LAME AND STUPID!!!!!
