Brian Greene is (with his book the elegant universe) and everything he is done for science, is without a doubt, the reason why I got so invested in astrophysics/cosmology and send me down this path of constantly wanting to learn more, for more than 20 years now and giving me the feeling that I could 'understand' or at least imagine certain things I would never have dreamt I could understand.
He is in my eyes one of the greatest scientists/educators of my generation.
And I will forever thank him for that and admire his level of conveying his ideas.
He kinda, on the science level, made me who I am now.
Massive respect!
@@user-in4xs2fv8j I think so, I had some physics in high school, but nothing major.
definitely not enough to read his book without a challenge, but he has an amazing way to explain the most difficult topics, in ways a layman can start to grasp these concepts, he uses a lot of comparisons to make you understand a concept.
I read his book twice and I never stopped learning about astrophysics after that. That must have been about 20 years ago. now I am at a point I can not learn any more astrophysics without actually going back to school to learn the higher math you need to make some calculations, but apart from that, I think I can tell I know very much about what we know about the universe. and it was Brian who started this whole journey for me.
I definitely recommend reading his books if you are interested you will learn without a doubt, even if you haven't had physics before.

I've spent days doing laborious blue collar work, with 3-5 other men. None of which went to college. Often times on those days we'll go 3+ hours without talking while we work, because an episode of JRE with a theoretical physicist, a mathematician or biologist or a professional ultra marathon runner is on, speaking about the things they know best. This way of sharing knowledge with working class, rural men white, hispanic, whatever, who are otherwise locked out of it is why Joe Rogan is so wildly influential. The fact that a bunch of fishermen or house painters have the desire, interest or attention span to listen to a physicist be interviewed for 3 hours, is why Cable television is DEAD.
Cable TV prices are out of reach for many people these days, that being another reason. I work with a bunch of blue collar people too, one of which likes books and reads a lot. He believes among other things that the Earth is about six thousand years old.
You’re speaking the truth I don’t give a fuck what anyone else says anyone is capable of comprehending these topics stupid and smart are just facades made up by society we are all equally as smart as one another just not as privileged or lucky whatever you may call it

I love this guy. Knowing so much he's overwhelming optimistic about life. He makes me appreciate everything so much more listening to him.
I fell asleep listening to brian greene talk a few nights ago, had the sweetest dreams ever!!!
This guy with Hancock would be a great show
Why? One of them talks about cataclysms and lost civilisations and one is a scientist who talks about the universe I don't think they would have any ideas of which they both agreed with . A good suggestion of a podcast with be possibly brian greene with neil de grasse tyson or brian cox or elon musk(I am actually a big fan of graham hancocks work and ideas I just don't think he should be in this podcast with brian greene.)
I can't get over how fluidly Brian speaks. It is almost absent of filler words like "um" or "uhh" - he delivers his thoughts and explanations with such logical integrity.
Yes he is brilliant and is a master of public speaking and explaining physics and quantum physics.
Very true Lana, great point!

@D H really?

What a brilliant human being, and able to explain insanely deep concepts in an easy to understand way
The last you write there is so important. It's a lot that are on his intellectual level, but very few can be like a normal person and explain it so good that he does. When I think about i, noone I've found explains difficult things better than him. Elon Musk is good at it breaking things down and explain the essence, but Greene is better.
Haven't been this excited to see a video in awhile!! Probably going to watch it a few times. Brian Greene just has a way of describing physics so that even a child could probably understand it. Great Fucking video Joe!
Both Brian’s are fantastic. Greene and Cox.
These are the episodes I dig.
It is always great to have that "ok, I am going to buckle in for this one" moment with JRE.
:)

I prefer Wendy Williams
Especially when he’s about to show the guest his float tank
This episode is dumb, and you most likely are as well.
Whenever Joe has people like him on here I automatically stop what I'm doing in life and consume whatever they have to say.

Srt-10 Mopar you made me laugh out loud. Good one.
@@isaacc3307 that's not very nice Mr.Mopar...but pretty funny though... sorry jay jay... you made yourself a Target with the life..consume..words.
Manifestation IS NOT about getting stuff. It's about evolving YOUR SELF and reminding yourself of the path you want to stay on. This is how I fought off su.cidal thoughts, kept shoveiling snow for pocket change while being homeless and earned a home & career in less than a year after that. Manifest a better mindset, not ask for stuff. How can I change myself to shift into a different mental reality to achieve what I want.
“You don’t need to know the true nature of reality to survive” what a quote
Maybe if you knew the true nature of reality you could live forever and therefore survive , because I think survive kinda means forever
I thought you were going to say You stop surviving and start living and be prepared in advance @@stevefromsaskatoon830
