Please note: This video was filmed with the intention of teaching the art of taking better cycling photos, but in no way do I or does this video condone unsafe riding for the sake of taking photos. If you are uncomfortable or unskilled at riding a bike with one hand, do not attempt any of the tips in this video while moving. Always come to a stop at a safe place on the side of the road and take photos while standing still with both feet on the ground.
This video was filmed in Girona, Catalunya, Spain, on roads without cars and always with the permission of the people in the photos. Please be respectful of the people you're taking photos of, the traffic around you, and make sure never to risk anyone's safety (including your own) - put safety above all else, always. - Sport
0.5 x FTW. you are awesome! Thanks for taking the time!
0.5 x FTW.
New subscriber: Fantastic tips! Some good reminders in there and a couple I hadn’t thought of.
Throughout 2023 I transitioned away from my dslr to mobile photography and it rejuvenated my love for the hobby. Perhaps it's the synergy of combining sport with hobby that has given both interests a refreshment.
Great video! Easy to understand and well structured. Amazing what you can get out of a phone nowadays!
0.5 FTW, I learned a lot! Can’t wait for part 3!
0.5 FTW - Great stuff. Thanks for sharing
Sooooo awesome!!!

Wow. I’ve seen both episodes now. I have always taken photos riding, but after watching this I went out riding and took some amazing pics and also enjoyed adjusting/editing them afterwards. Thanks, buddy, my Strava is already looking so much better!

Thanks dude 🤜🏼🤛🏼
Many-many thanks to you for this video! I really like the point, about simplicity
Glad it was helpful man. That's often the hardest one to get right, but aside from good light I think it's the single quickest way to improve the look of your photos.

0.5 FTW awesome video Tristan
0.5x FTW Loved the Live Photo / Long Exposure. Never new those settings were in there.
Glad it was helpful!
0.5x FTW watching this during a long endurance session on the trainer. I particularly enjoyed the comments about lens choice since I tended to avoid the 0.5 lens because I was afraid of distorting subjects into lovecraftian horror shapes
0.5xFTW great video! My goals for this year are to take more photos and enjoy riding more, thank you for your help!
Thanks so much!
0.5 FTW - very cool. Thank you
0.5x FTW - great tips! Will try them out on tomorrows sunrise ride 🤟

Thanks Michael! 🙏🏼
Tristan not only takes excellent photos but also chooses cool music 😅👍
Thanks Di! 🙌🏼
0.5x FTW ! The wait was worth it ! Amazing Episode ! Cheers mate
Thanks mate!
Tip seven is great. One of the most important things to do directly after transferring images from the camera is to mercilessly delete as much as possible.
0.5x FTW another great video!
0.5 FTW; another great video and extremely useful tutorial. Will try this out as soon as the weather in Germany allows for more outdoor riding….
0.5x FTW! Great video, thank you. It's about time for this part 2!! :)
Took a while but we got there eventually 😆
0.5 FTW. Loved this vlog. Lots of ideas to experiment with. Cheers

Thanks mate! Hope they help. 🙌🏼
0.5x FTW Worth the wait...best photo inspiration in the internet :)
Thanks dude 🙌🏼🙏🏼
Great stuff… Like the series. I’ve been exploring more action photos while riding and video as well. All of this is great inspiration. Curious what mount, how you hold it and what apps you use (maybe it was covered in part 1… I’ll go watch).
I just got the iPhone 15 Pro Max for video and curious to explore more camera apps for it to work like more like my DSLRs. I’ve used Lightroom Camera, but I wonder if there are apps with better control, ease of use and features. I will be using my Small Rig Brandon Li video rig on my iPhone and I think the cage and a single side grip with the remote shutter button will be clutch for cycling photos. Nice firm grasp of the camera and frame protection.
thanks another great one! 0.5x FTW
0.5 x FTW
Another great vid!
Im gonna get so many kudos on my nextra Strava ride😍
I hope so..😏
0.5x FTW part two is awesome love all the tips thanks for making this!!
No problem! Thanks mate!
0.5 x ftw. Learnt lots so far. I'm a bit late to the series. I was wondering how you held your phone when taking photos as I feel I'm going to drop it anytime, but the volume button tip.. awesome.. 😊. Will send some photos for your comp. I have always been a sunset/sunrise fan. Lots more sunrises these days. Anyway, love the videos as always...
These videos are so helpful to the average person that has know clue how to do this. Thank you, sir. 0.5 XFTW
0.5x FTW, great video Tristan, thanks 🙏🏻
0,5 x FTW What a great video again. This is the tutorial I need and enjoy. Thank you!
Thanks mate!
0.5x FTW
Learnt so much and can't wait to apply the tips
Good stuff!
0.5x FTW
Awesome stuff Tristan... Coming from a hobby photographer + enthusiastic cyclist. ;)
Good to hear mate! 🙌🏼
I am terrible at taking photos even more so while on a bike... Might have rewatch this series once part 3 is posted.
0,5 FTW very interesting. I did a course a long time ago with 35mm and developing film. Never really got into digital (yet)
Thx for the great video. Have you any advice for how to hold the phone while riding the bike? Any special cases you can recommend? Hello from Germany
0.5x FTW - Great video! Awesome Instagram too
Thanks man! 🙌🏼
tips also hold true for all photography, not just phone camera on bikes and gave me some ideas for my biggest challenge photographing bike races in harsh Australian sunlight. Might have to take some with my phone to get critiqued 0.5x FTW
0.5 x FTW really useful video. Definitely sending some pics.
0.5 ftw !
0,5x FTW thanks again for the tipps 🙏
0.5x FTW….worth the wait, well…almost 😉😂 Looking forward to putting some of your tips into practice…as well as Pt 3 👍
0.5 FTW ❤
0.5x FTW. This and the first part (video) are really helpful! Thanks!!
Great to hear! 🙌🏼
0.5xFTW thanks for sharing this, being far away from a "good" photographer, it does inspire me to try out more/new things!
Glad to hear Stephan! 🙌🏼
0.5x FTW, the second part is even better than the first one 👌
Thanks mate! Hopefully part 3 goes one step better again. 🙏🏼
Yep. Very good info.
0.5x FTW. great video. thanks for the tipps
Illegally valuable!
0.5 Ftw!
Awesome vid!! Great content as usual 💪 Thanks for the superb work. Still have a question. Which format do you recommend when cropping the photos? Usually I'm going to use 3:2
For me it depends on the use. 3:2 for my website, 4:3 for Strava, 4:5 vertical for Instagram posts, 9:16 vertical for Instagram stories and reel cover photos. I never post to Instagram in landscape format, only vertical to take up as much screen real estate as possible. Hope that helps 🙏🏼
0.5X is great, now i know what i can try for better photo's!
0.5x FTW Some great tips for general photography. The iPhone is my go to camera these days, the D850 only comes out for specific tasks.
Same. I use my R5 for work and that’s about it. Love the iPhone.
0.5x FTW, this video is quality…it’s just what I’ve been waiting for. Reagan ding the iPhone which model are you using and what setting do you have on for the horizontal line tracking during the descending shots. Thanks so much Tristan.…quality as always.
Thanks mate! I use an iPhone 13 Pro and turn the grid on in the camera settings. I show how to do this in part 1 of this video series if you'd like to see more.
0.5 FTP - very useful tipps. Thanks Tristan!
0.5x FTW Great insights!
0.5x FTW…….GREAT STUFF!
Have to say, the last video really upped my game and thought me some valuable info.
CZcams can be full of people offering the same pointless copy/paste advice just to farm views, and this video is certainly NOT one of those.
Thank you for the tips!
Thanks mate! Stoked to hear you’ve found the videos helpful 🙏🏼
0.5x FTW Thank you for all this tips!
My pleasure!
0.5 FTW 👏
Impressive photos, I love Girona. I searching to move there. Any advices.
0.5xFTW. Thanks for your video! The first part greatly improved my photos
This is awesome to hear..stoked to help out!
0.5x FTW Great Tips!
