Fabulous stuff, Tristan. Totally frustrated with my Garmin Pro, so this will help. Can't wait to see the next segments.
Thanks Tristan. Your Dad has just been waiting for this. I have learned such a lot about using my iPhone camera in this vlog. It is just so informative not only for action photos but general use if the iPhone camera and settings. An excellent vlog Thanks. 🎉🎉
I've been taking pictures all wrong this whole time. I can't wait for the rest of the series and going out to try to use what you taught us.

Thanks man. Very late here but part 2 is now live and part 3 is coming soon.
Fantastic! I have 12 pro and never really messed with camera settings. Excited to start using what I just learned! I've seen where lots of pros like yourself are ditching lugging massive cameras around on their bike and are just using Iphones...
Thank you very much this really going to help!
Excellent information, thank you!
Ets un grande Tristan!! Bon video!
Finally I’m up to speed - great vid 🍻
Thank you Tristan, you have this rare talent to present the content in a clear and interesting way. My experiences from taking photos on the bike: a) I'm always very afraid of the phone falling off from my hand (and most likely it wouldn't survive) b) because I keep the phone in my back pocket, which typically is a sweaty place, the lens is blurry and needs wiping out to remove the sweat c) so I ended up shooting photos using my old action cam (a cheap gopro-like). I keep it in the pocket in a small, un-zipped protective case.
Anyway, I really like this iPhone how-to. If not on the bike, it is very useful for everyday use. Cheers!
Excellent video, without doubt the best on iPhone photography.
And I can't wait for parts 1& 2, promised for over a year now! 😮
Part 2 is now live! Better late than never. Hope you enjoy.
very good , thank you. .I learned some new things
I saw one of your videoes yesterday when you were biking with another content creator and loved what you were producing. So today I found this vid and I’m learning so much! Never knew I could lock the focus and exposure. How did I not know. Ok onto the rest of the video.
Thanks mate. Hope you're still keen for part 2 - it's just gone live.
Awesome video. This will take my bicycle photography to the next level. I've almost crashed trying to get exciting photos in the midst of action. I finished Race Across America in 2021 and Race Across the West in 2022 and had great opportunities for photos during the races. Some of the items you discussed would have made my photo activities a lot easier. Can't wait for your next videos as I've got great plans for 2023.
Thanks mate, stay safe and hopefully these tips help! Lots more to come in parts 2 and 3…
Awesome video, so many useful tips
Thanks Stephen 🙏🏼
Makes sense. Thx for the tutorial.

Bring on Pt2 + 3
Thanks mate. Apologies for the massive delay for parts 2 and 3..honestly just been a bit overwhelmed with trying to curate what I want to say for part 2. I feel like I’ve got so much information in my brain and lack the skill to get it out properly. I’ll get onto it soon though, I promise. Glad you’ve enjoyed part one so much. 🙏🏼
0.5x FTW. Such a well presented and informative video Tristan, I really learnt a lot, many thanks
F***ing amazing! Thanks for sharing. I love photography, but don't know much about. Never took time to learn, and with this video (and probably the next 2), at least I can have some more nice pictures with my phone. Many thanks mate!
Stoked! Glad you enjoyed it man. Always room for improvement no matter what level you’re at, so hopefully this video helps get you started! 🤝🏼

Thanks mate! Glad you enjoyed and hope the trip goes well 🙌🏼
0.5x FTW
Brilliant series Tristan. Thank you.
Thanks for the great tips Tristan... I just discovered your content and immediately subscribed!! I have an iphone 11 pro max and have it with me on every ride. I wanted to ask two questions. What size iphone do you find works best for cycling... the pro or the pro max? I like the max's bigger screen and size; however, I find that handling it one handed while riding can become cumbersome. Second, what case do you ride with and do you use any sort of pop socket on the back to help with the one handed photo/video'ing. Your advise is always appreciated!
0.5 x FTW. Loved this vid.
Cheers.
I'm starting my "off season", can't wait to try these tips..' 0.5x FTW' !!

As an amateur photographer I tried bringing my own but found out did not use it on the ride.
iPhone is indeed the camera I always have on me

0.5 FTW. Keep up the great work Tristan. CO78
just set my dramatic on jaja I loved the show
Love this, especially the Chase Jarvis quote. I always remind myself of that quote when I just get that spark of inspiration.
What are you recommended settings on the Camera Format; High Efficenty or Most Compatible? The photos that you have shared on this video is extremely sharp and rich in colour, what kind of editing do you do post photo?
0.5x FTW thanks Tristan. so interesting. I never knew what all those icons were.I have a Samsung android phone. I'll have to play around with it now. xx
great! thx a lot!
awesome video!
Thanks Tristan. I didn't know how to use half of the settings on the iPhone before this video hahahaha.
0.5x WTF! Great video. I've been increasingly relying on my phone and leaving my mirroless at home recently so this is perfect ttiming...Eagerly awaiting Part 2 😃
Oooof, can't wait to head out and try these techniques
Send me your Instagram handle so I can follow along on your progress!

Subscribed for pt 2 and 3! 😄
Not sure if that's gonna happen soon
Thank you. Part 2 is now live. Took a while but we got there!
Thank you so much 🎉
Super cool video! Thanks so much for making this series!! If you have any experience with processing for your cycling shots with iphone, that would be really helpful. I just found out about topaz labs gigapixel AI when researching upscaling for larger prints. Would love to be able to use some of my iphone shorts for home prints around the house or as gifts
Chapeau!
