Gyökeres reminds me of master chief from halo,, he’s not the outright best in any single category, but he is the most tenacious, as well as the most well rounded, being 2nd or 3rd best in every single category. its amazing to watch, really incredible how many different ways he can make a goal be scored.
and i think what makes me like him even more and what makes him so difficult to defend and makes him so good, is that he is able to fluidly mix each category and different style of play together. if he’s using his strength he doesn’t resort to only doing that for that play. he can use speed, strength, finesse dribbling, direct dribbling, passing, and a long, short, quick fire, finesse, or power finish all in the same play,, and strings them together seamlessly. which is incredibly difficult and is both a testament to his physicality and technique, as well as his brain. its amazing to watch really.
he can score in every way possible, and get an opportunity to score in every way.
i don’t see a weakness in his game

I've never seen a single player single handedly win games for us at Coventry, probably ever... and he did just that on multiple occasions last season. At times, he just simply bullied a whole back 4/5 on his own. I was really sad when he left, but it was inevitable and I keep an eye on every Sporting game now because of him. I've watched a few of their games this season because of him.
With that being said, it blows my mind that PL teams didn't take a chance on him last summer, ultimately he probably wanted a move to Portugal, but the fact no other teams apart from Everton and Brentford were remotely interested baffles me, when he would have only cost 20 million or so. Now he is easily a 100 million pound striker and teams will have to pay that. He is unbelievable, and his goalscoring record this season shows it. I hope wherever he ends up next, he does well at.

They do. We just don’t notice. Dortmund with Håland, Monaco with Mbappe, Arsenal with Martinelli, City with Alvarez, Liverpool with Salah, Leicester with Vardy, Kante, Mahrez and many more. Gyokeres didn’t have any promising loan spell. His permanent move to Coventry was enough for Sporting, a big club, to snatch him but other big clubs were still not impressed or already spent very much and couldn’t buy him because of FFP. Now clubs know that Sporting will not sell until a hefty offer. He is a good striker in a market where strikers are not in abundance. That’s why clubs are willing to play.

If he signs for a top four club, I don't see him getting the minutes, unless its for Liverpool under their new 2024-25 coaching staff. Arsenal could ease him into the setup, although shifting Jesus, Trossard or Havertz from the central role would be very disruptive, for the overall contentment of the personalities next season. If he is signed it would be for arsenal because. Bayern have Kane, Madrid are probably saving for mbappe, city have Haland and barca is broke.
Chelsea, Man United and Tottenham could sign him but. But Tottenham has to pay off their stadium and they finish the Kane money, Chelsea will try to avoid ffp and I don't think any body wants to move to United.
Psg is also an option but the league is a problem

In his first full season for us sky blues he actually went on a 15 game goal drought after he picked a niggle(swollen knee) but once he got going he finished the seon strong. Robins should of extended his cutract as we woulf of more dough of kept him. Same goes which Hamer and not offereing Ohare a contract when he was out injured for over year now hes leaving for nothing. This is Robins weakness.

Yeah the issue with Gyokeres and Osimhen is they're getting overpriced based on hype. Declan Rice set a rare example of when you can say 100+ was "worth it" but it almost never happens. The cost is too great almost no matter the quality. I hope it means other great players see their prices drop and Chelsea go into further FFP trouble and wind up ruining him (well, I don't wish that on Gyokeres but hey if it's all about the money I'm sure he'll be fine with it either way if he makes that choice).

i just can’t see how he’d be premier league level after a couple decent years with one of them only being the championship, even striker like solanke and mitrovic have come up to the prem and done marginally worse and they scored double what he did. 12 months apart i don’t see him being a world beater in a top 5 league next season but in the coming years i won’t write him off, after seeing nunez look like a poor finisher and not a great player last season to seeing his finishing improve and as a player he’s actually great now i think he could be similar where he joins a top team but will just need time and a top manager to get the best out of him

I seriously don’t think his game translate to the EPL as well as 100m player should. Good things about him are he’s a good finisher so if you get him chances he will score some, but all those clips of him creating goals on his own I don’t see working in the EPL. Most are him using his pace to beat defenders when he isn’t incredibly fast, those spaces just don’t exist in the EPL very often so definitely would see his solo goals drop quite a bit. I think you are signing a 15G striker, a slightly worse Diego Costa, and for a 100m it’s a quite a lot if that’s all you’re getting. In other leagues though like Bundesliga, La Liga, Serie A I think he would tear apart like he has been
