My daughter has some white cotton vests and, like me, she likes everything to be tie dyed! So she requested that I dye this vest a beautiful rainbow. Who am I to say no?! I decided that hand painting would be the best way to achieve a rainbow First, I soaked the vest in soda ash solution. Then I hand painted with liquid dyes to create a rainbow.
Fibre reactive dyes can be used on plant based fibre and animal based fibres. Acid dyes can only be used on animal based fibres.
