  • Dr Paola Magni is a forensic biologist with a key focus on the application of natural sciences to crime scene investigations. Paola is a power house in her field; she is a professor at Murdoch University in Western Australia where she has moved to further study flies and also works on forensic cases. She is the inspiration and consultant for a character in the Italian version of CSI: Crime Scene Investigation (“R.I.S. Delitti Imperfetti”). Here, Dr. Magni explores the myths and uses of flies throughout history and into today’s modern crime scenes. In doing so, she hopes to change our common perceptions of flies. I had a 3 legged cat. Bootstrap Bill. He was born with the umbilical cord of a stillborn kitten wrapped around his left hind foot, just at his claws. He mutured into a stocky (huge chest and front legs) character of a cat. We tried to put a prosthesis on the foot, but Bootstrap wanted nothing to do with it. He was content to chase and do about as he was. We happened to get new neighbors that had a big dog move in nearby. The dog was a cat killer we were told. This sickened me, I was very vocal about them keeping the dog in check because of Bootstrap Bill. It wasn't long before the fkn dog was chasing my cat, Bill wasn't as fast as other cats, then one day the dog caught up w/Bootstrap got ahold of Bill just below the neck on Bill's back. Tore a gaping hole in him. I managed to get Bill away from the dog before he could hurt Bill anymore. I cleaned the wound, put medicine on it and kept a close eye on him. But it wasn't long until the dog snuck around, got Bill in a chase for his life, I couldn't keep up with them. I lost them, had no idea what happened with my cat. Later that evening the dog returned to his home. I was so hurt, angry, all of it, the dogs owners were apologetic to say the least. I threatened to file charges against them. But at that moment I needed to find Bill. They helped. For 3 days I couldn't find him. Close to the end of the day on 3, I saw the dog trying to climb a tree! I ran towards him and lo & behold there was Bootstrap! Got the dog locked up and proceeded to get Bill. After getting him out of the tree I was sick of what I saw next..the wound was full of maggots! Hundreds of maggots! I carried Bill home, puking myself and got to cleaning him up. Now I'm not to surprised by much these days but I never saw anything so amazing as that wound, the maggots had cleaned up all infection, no blood, nothing but pink and healthy skin! Bill seemed fine with his stay in the tree, he even relaxed while I cleared the maggots off him. To this day I have a whole new respect for flies. God made em for a reason and the medical profession won't share this truely wonderful gift. They just want to sale pills!

We are not talking here about linguistic logic manipulation. We talk about simple but defined challenge.

Ok, I suggest you search more about science & Islam, with open mind, humility and no prejudice.
It is not the only challenge in the Qur'an, there are many, one of them, Allah challenges mankind to come up with just one chapter like Qur'an in it's original language, no body has met this writing challenge for 1440 years, it does get easier that this !
I encourage you to challenge yourself by reevaluating your beliefs and prejudices, seeking knowledge and abandoning self pride.
