    Noticed that your Taillight isn't working? This video will teach how to replace it in less than 5 minutes.
    Make your vehicle visible again at night. Most of the accidents at night happen due to the vehicles not being visible. Replacing your taillight bulb is the quickest way to mitigate that problem. You don't need any special tools (and your car already comes with one). It will cost you a fraction of time,cost of what it would to get it fixed at a repair shop.
    Tools Needed: Flathead Screwdriver, Philips Screwdriver
    Parts Needed: Inner Taillight Bulb. 7528 Bulb Type.
    Instructions:
    1. Open the driver side door.
    2. Release the trunk.
    3. Lift the trunk carpet.
    4. Pull out the Flathead screwdriver.
    5. Take off the 8 clips on the trunk cover.
    6. Pry open the handle cover using the Flathead screwdriver.
    7. Unscrew the 2 screws using the Philips screwdriver.
    8. Take off the trunk cover.
    9. Unplug the electrical connector by pressing it on the bottom and pulling it out.
    10. Unscrew the bulb holder by twisting it left.
    11. Push down on the bulb and twist it left to get it out.
    12. Align the new bulb with the slots in the bulb holder. Push it down and twist it right.
    13. Put the bulb holder back in place and twist it right to secure it in position.
    14. Connect the electrical connector. Push it in and it should click in position.
    15. Pull out the middle part of the clips before inserting them back in.
    16. Put the trunk cover back in position and use 2 clips and put them on first in the 2 bottom holes.
    17. Now get the rest of the 6 clips and re-insert them.
    18. Screw the Philips screws back.
    19. Push the handle cover back in place.

    For the 2018 Hyundai Elantra SEL 2.0, the bulb is a Sylvania 7528 or equivalent. The 7506 is for the brake light bulbs. I had the middle one go out go out yesterday, so I ordered two two packs, that way I can replace all three of them at once. I'd rather deal with a small headache now than a large headache down the road. when handling a bulb I always use a microfiber towel to install it that way you don't damage the bulb with human oils from the skin.

      Good tip. Thanks for sharing. This was one of my older videos, for my recent videos I either wear gloves or use a microfiber towel when handling bulbs.

    Very informative. I would love to see a video [unless I missed it] on changing rear tail blinker and brake bulbs

      Noted. I remember having to change the brake bulbs once on this car. The process is pretty straightforward except that you have to get the entire light housing off the body and to get it off is a challenge.

    Very well done. I've subscribed. Can you show how to remove a headlamp assembly on a 2018 Elantra? I Can't get mine out.

      Thank you Sir. Unfortunately I don't have access to the 2018 Hyundai Elantra anymore to be able to make videos on it. I recall when I did, in order to take the headlight off, I get to get the bumper loose and out of the way to access the headlight.

    Thank you so much for this video . Can you please also upload a video regarding elantra 2018 Ac issue such as my car ac release hot air unless I move the rotating dial all the way to left ?

    • @VirarAutomotive
      @VirarAutomotive  Před 3 lety +1

      Your AC system probably need a refregeriant recharge. You could even do it yourself. You can get a recharge can from Walmart auto center, Canadian tire or part source.

    What if mine are led???

    • @VirarAutomotive
      @VirarAutomotive  Před 4 lety +1

      Exact same process. Just that instead of replacing the incandescent bulbs, you replace them with the LED bulbs. The process to access the bulbs should be the exact same, assuming you have the same car as in this video.

      It is a 7528 bulb. www.walmart.com/ip/SYLVANIA-7528-Long-Life-Mini-Bulb-Pack-of-2/54633850

    Suggest not touching new bulb with your skin/fingertips. Body oil could possibly ruin bulbs. Particularly the headlamp bulbs. Wear gloves when installing bulbs.

    • @VirarAutomotive
      @VirarAutomotive  Před 4 lety +1

      That is correct. Body oil deposits can cause problems. Particularly for headlamp bulbs. To add to your point. The reason why it causes problems is because, wherever there are oil deposits on the bulbs, those points get hotter than the rest of the surface, this leads to micro cracks, which over time causes the gas inside the bulbs to escape, thus ruining the bulbs. It's not so much a problem for low temperature bulbs like taillight bulbs, cuase they are low powered and thus the bulb surface never gets so hot to form hot spots which can cause micro cracks like in headlight bulbs. But agreed, it's a good practise. 😊
