I do most, if not all repairs, with tools that I carry around in my overloaded 1997 Crown Victoria Police Interceptor. I perform "On-Site" braking and suspension repairs, amongst other diagnostics and services. My tools consist mostly of Craftsman, a few Stanley, Snap-On, Husky, Pittsburgh, and S&K tools. Scan tools include hand held Actrons, DVOMs, and test lights. I also currently use a Zurich ZR Pro, for advanced and bidirectional diagnostics as well as a Snap-On Verus Pro, for more detailed diagnostics. I'm always expanding my collection, based on need and convenience.

After three other videos showing half-assed methods using brute force and idiocy (I never saw the string ones but I considered it myself) and at least an hour of wasted time, I saw this and five minutes later assembly was off the car and ready to change bulb. Thank you!!!

Glad the video was able to help you out!
It's funny how difficult something is to remove, when you can't get a grip on it.

Thanks again! The first time I tried removing one, I struggled. CZcams didn't get me far on this one either. It those two little white sockets that grab the two unthreaded studs, that cause the difficulty.

Mine is still stuck wth?!? I have both nuts off, what else could it be?!?

There are two white snap pins retaining the assembly. They are what's holding it. Apply a bit more outward pressure on the outer-most stud.

@@HouseCallAutoRepair when I’m jiggling the whole assembly I see those wiggling.
What do u mean apply more outer pressure? Like when I am pulling on the assembly where should I push

@@fhg1128 push the two threaded studs out, towards the back of the car. The front plastic piece that gets broken is just a straight forward guide. It's the two little white sockets that two ball-headed pins pop into. Some minor heat may help.
I had to put the nuts on one thread and knda push it with my rubber mallet, to pop it out the first time....

Got the screws undone, housing won't pull out. I see the 2 white clips, someone said squeeze them and they'll push inside, but afraid they'll break. Don't understand what I need to do with them.

WARNING!!! Potential to damage light assembly!!! Do NOT strike or put direct pressure on the 10mm bolts as demonstrated between 2:00-2:20 as the bolts are mounted via a small knurled surface in a thin plastic section of the light assembly that easily cracks. Replacing a light assembly is much more expensive than replacing the bulb & mounting clip.

Pop the clip out a little bit first to release the tension
