In this Broadcast Award-winning, BAFTA and Emmy Award-nominated entertainment show, Taskmaster tyrant Greg Davies (Man Down, Cuckoo), with the help of his loyal assistant Alex Horne (The Horne Section and the show’s creator), sets out to test the wiles, wit and wisdom of five hyper-competitive comedians.
Comedians that have risked life, limb, and dignity in the hope of making the Taskmaster proud so far include: Frank Skinner (The Frank Skinner Show), Mel Giedroyc (The Great British Bake Off), Romesh Ranganathan (Asian Provocateur), Hugh Dennis (Outnumbered), Sally Phillips (Bridget Jones’ Diary), Rose Matafeo (Edinburgh Comedy Award Winner 2018), and Russell Howard (The Russell Howard Hour). Unaware of what awaits them in each wax-sealed envelope, only one competitor can become the victorious owner of His Royal Task-ness’ golden head and be crowned the next Taskmaster Champion. - Komedie
All my life looking for a woman, I should have just asked Alex for one.
Dinna you learn!! You gotta go down to the abbatoir with a hammer, right, start a fire, cook the thing you got, that'll draw the ladies in!
Well...
You can lead a horse to water, but you can't force it to drink...
Best of luck, it ain't getting any easier.
@@jasonflay8818 Innit?
"I will get you a woman." Alex best mate.
"Okay, I'll get you a woman."
This is the closest I've ever seen this show come to a tie.
There was the 1 time Greg decided to very closely adhere to the rules and everyone got 0 points on the task.
@@hobbso8508 Oh dang. What task was it?
@@MurcuryEntertainment Season 10 Episode 1. They had to move drinks from the phonebooth to the caravan while holding a teddy bear and not walking on the grass while holding the drinks. If they spilled a drop they lost, which of course they all did.
I feel like there is room for a Pun here..
Gotta be politically correct
Was low key hoping Russell would take his shirt off and he didn’t disappoint. The man’s in shape.
You mean Tim.
@@santiagomaldonado705 honestly, Tim's in much better shape than I was expecting.
"Hammer. Abattoir."
I'm very impressed with Russell not breaking on that one, 'cause I was in pieces :')
So no one thought of peeing in it while standing?
Literally my first thought 😅
bob mortimer would have done this
and Rhod Gilbert definitely
Well… near it.
@@PoiBoink BAHAH
Acaster would’ve loved the ways they closed that box in the beginning
What boxes? All I saw was towers.
😂😂😂
Only people who watch his stand up
LOLLLLL
Some might say manliness is a box people put themselves in...
my take on manliness would be sitting in that box and loathing in self pity cause you really have to be a man to be able to relate
@Wade King
Well done good sir 👌🏻
That's deep bro
Others say the box has been provided by the taskmaster and and you have to put yourself in it for points
Well damn
Tim vine is brilliant in this task
Nailed it, and was funny doing it, just what you need.
Totally. If this was ancient Greece, they would sculpt a statue of him.....
In a box
The camera angles suggest that they might have been a bit hidden too, so the people passing by wouldn't know what was going on.
On second watch, Russell's take had a lot more substance than I remember
Manliest thing in the whole video was Greg Davies announcing the ad break by just yelling "BREAK!"
And the least manliest thing was him turning into a pussy and awarding equal scores because he didn't have the balls to put Alice's stupid and unfunny politics last.
@@marcustulliuscicero2676 Please change your name, you do a disservice to Cicero's legacy with such mindless opinions.
@@saintchristoffer tbh he is right the pay gap is total bs
@@saintchristoffer and also it wasnt that funny
Yeah that skit felt like it fell flat maybe because she took it more seriously than necessary
Russell Howard's cardboard box was legendary.
Far the funniest and most involved. Absolutely loved Russell's box.
Asim's is idea was so cute and wholesome
I loved it ! ♡
You misspelled "weird and unmanly"
@@marcustulliuscicero2676
«Expressing your feelings is unmanly. », said the guy that named himself "Cicero".
The irony.
@@marcustulliuscicero2676 what the hell
I really think he is the nicest, weird sure but very manly seeing how he was showing emotions
Talking about what toxic masculinity does wrong and help people see that being a man doesn't mean hard boiled rock but someone who people can rely on
Both mentally and physically
I reckon the robot is more manly than you if you are saying this
I have to say, when Alice said she needed a woman to do something manly with her box, I was expecting something a bit different.
its funny how everyone thought that the most manly thing was dads
whats more manly and tough than dealing with kids? lol
Not really, only two of them actually had anything related to dads. Asim and Russel. Tim was about showing off his god like body, Alice was about the pay gap and Lisas was related to a husband...
Maybe Russell Howard's, if he was talking to his child, but none of the others were anything to do with being a Dad
Well it wouldn't be mothers, would it.?
@@UgglyOwl not only a husband, a dad too. My stepdad looked exactly like that and I suffered as well.
They all had such wonderful takes, but my personal favorite was Liz's. Hats off to Tim Vine though - everyone else decided to do some form of social commentary, and he's like "no fuck it I'm just getting in this box and showing off my body in public"
Everyone did a really good job with that task. It would be difficult to properly judge it.
Two of them didn't.
What a delight. Binged Taskmaster on CZcams the other day and needed some more.
Best use of Abattoir in a comedic setting since the Simpsons.
No one thought about filling the box with heavy stuff, have someone move it, and offer to do move it for them?
That's gentlemanly!
Brilliant
that would have been genius. I thought about taking the box to the pub and sit and drink in silence.
I love that Asim and I went down the same path because I would have used this as some social commentary and backed Greg into a corner if he even implied that being vulnerable isn't manly... Screw toxic masculinity. There is nothing manlier than being sure in your own skin
Asim is literally just 😭 you can tell he’s willing to educate himself and show that to the world and thats brave
I love that guy
I-feel straight up sounded like Wallace from Wallace and Gromit...
god, the van that honked was perfect
Waiting for the opposite: do something girly with a box task.
Stand in the box, listen to true crime podcast, lie, and eat hot chip.
Stand in the box, have a man next to you, both lift 10 boxes, only you stop after 7 and demand full payment.
@@rc501st brilliant
@@GigaBoost this... is too specific lmao are you outing someone you know?
@@luminatron this is all girls do
I think giving them all four points like that might have been the only solution to get out unscathed from that, since it became very political once a statement about the wage gap was made, where people would be pissed off no matter how he graded that one above or below the others.
yeah, but it wasn't remotely clever or funny which is more of the point, neither was the weird feelings box. Other 3 were funny.
Yeah, would have thought comedians would understand that a comedy show is not the place to go all political and shit, if they had tried to be funny just a little bit, this could have been a really good task
I would argue only two did something with the box. The others were just standing in it. Rate those two and equal the rest.
@@AjaxNixon i liked the feeling box.
For me it was, from worst to best.
5 - Gender Gap (unfunny, don't cancel me)
4 - Hammer/Construction(expected)
3 - Top off (Funny and fittable)
2 - Lazy Box/Husband (Pretty acurate and funny, we could all see the characthers with in the inanimate box)
1 - The Feeling Box (I liked the idea and the execution, being awkward on purpose. Also, because I expected him to beat the box maybe put a factor on the surprise of the idea and enhanced the delivery)
@@NoisqueVoaProduction you may have liked the message, but nothing about it was funny. The construction bit was actual comedy
Why can't I remember this from the full show
Every time you see Tim Vine flexing at an intersection you faint and when you wake up again its moved on to the next task is my only explanation

@@existentialdiet1632 Um. You really wouldn't like the graduation "ceremony" ....
This was a fun cast.
This was actually really interesting
I love how they were supposed to incorporate the box into their bit and 3 of them literally just stood inside of it
When he said "cause that's what a pig would take in his tea! You know she was like you ducke, I made it for myself..
I love this, all of them had an answer that reflected their personalities in some way.
Love how virtually everyone read the task and immiediately went "I will make commentary on gender discrepancies," and I thoroughly enjoyed it
Those were all soo creative 😮👏🏻
Bout time I saw a one of these tasks with results shown in the end!
Break it down, fold it in half, draw on it, and add a poem to turn it into a card for your sweetheart. End it with, "I saw this box and you sprang to mind."
What song is playing during Mr. Vine's turn?
taskmaster looking cute again
*...yet.*
Still lovin'the TASKMASTER in Georgia, USA
Ay me too
Appreciate your fine work this January.
I just learned what Abbetoir means. For everyone else who might be wondering, it's a slaughterhouse where animals are butchered for meat.
What's the song playing when vine is in the box?
They were all fantastic in terms of the manly element, so I'd have rated them based on the extent to which they actually incorporated the box as only really the TV and robot were really involving it. The others just stood in it while doing something manly. 😂
top gear reference in taskmaster, can’t get better than that
It's just Russell looks so much like Freddie Prinze Jr. that I just love him. Which is weird cause I don't really care for FPj.
I feel like the most manly thing might have been Alex's ability to just go and get a woman. Like, he just had one nearby, in case someone asked.
A surprisingly poignant task, which is something I never thought I'd say about the show
We need that song tim used !!!!!!
It would have been funny if he gave Alice 3 points
To be fair, her’s was probably the worst of the 5. Liza’s was funny and worthy of first, Asim’s was touching, and Tim and Russell were just straight up manly.
@@howardbaxter2514 I like how they pointed out how Liza enjoyed her role of subservient housemaid to a box a little too much
howard baxter who was the worst?

Just standing inside a box is not exactly usage of a box
What is the song they play over Tim Vines portion?
Generic pop song from the 2000's #34
@@Soloman_Gumball Nah I couldn't find it when I searched that on google lol

Lisa’s got a great laugh!
How is the song from Tim's part called? I've been looking for a long time but I can't find it 😓
Same :(

Shazam says no results 😅
@@torturebykittens Again!
I love it when they all do so well that even Lord Gred has to admit it
No. Tbh, the second one about the gender pay gap was pretty horrible. Even if you agree with the statement, the delivery was really bad and boring. The reason they couldn't give anyone fewer points is, that that would be to make a political statement. The show can't afford to make political statements as it is comedical and doesn't want to be taken seriously.
@@yeehaw693 They're happy to joke about political statements on the show. They usually joke about giving an extra point or a higher ranking to prevent getting angry letters, but they don't always give them first place.
@@yeehaw693 the "toxic masculinity" one was pretty crap too tbh.
Could have drawn greg's face on the box and left it at that...
There was no box mate
I think this might be the most successful task ever. Next closest was "Physically recreate a classic video game."
Tim Vine makes me feel oddly body confident
Love the I-feel
Asim means protector fun fact
They should do the girliest thing! The guys would be a riot.
I thought the same thing! I'd love to see a "do the most womanly thing" task.
iFeel??? Hope it works better than iPhone!
Burn the box and use it to cook a steak. Or create a cardboard axe.
21 points given in this round. Is that the highest ever?
I think it's tied. There was one prize task in a later season where everyone got 4 except David Baddiel who got 5.
I love how the two other guys were being self depreciating, and Tim was like, nah fuck that, a man can still be a man and not be considered "toxic".
I did love Lisa's though
Asim was far from self deprecating. I agree that it was a good spread of interpretations of the subject though.
Tim was making fun of himself though.
@@junbh2 Yes poking fun at hyper masculinity, while having a laugh at himself, but I wouldn't call it self depreciation.
Im rewatching this season right now, and I'm realizing what a secret genius Tim is😂
In no way were they being self “depreciating”. Tim was also 100% making fun of himself.
I wonder if they would have given Romesh a box
No one pissed in it?!?
I saw two people get disqualified on the same task. That's an actual tie in my book
Man, Sledge Ravine don't look half bad
Russell funny
What's the song during Vine's task?
i would have cut the cardboard into a armor and shield and sword.. i mean ye you get it :)
I might've just cut a hole in it...
Kirishima entered the chat
I had no idea Tim was so..... manly I guess
idk i personally would have put the baby dolls beneath it, so that they would be sheltered by the box.
Asim is so adorable 😂🥰
Woulda lit it on fire...
Can tell this is in England lol
4:17 is fucking gold
The blonde guy looks like the hair cutter from Courage
I would've done boxing with the box
I would have tamed a tiger or something.
Good scoring on this one!
I feel like Alice's presentation should have been rewarded by her and Liza getting fewer points than the men.
One of the best tasks
Loved Asim's take on it
I would have acted like it was a toilet and taken a dump in it...
An all time great task
The wage gap joke came across as actual bitter criticism, and she admitted it, so I’m not sure it belonged at the top with the rest
If it didn't, Twitter would probably cancel this show for being "sexist"

They totally green screened the footage on that tv - the resolution was way too crisp for one of those beasts.
This is probably the best segment I’ve seen to date.
Asim and tim first and second in my book
It makes sense that this is what 5 British people would consider manly
he shouldve given all the ladies 3 and the guys 5 to bring home alice's point
