They needed new producers like midway into Blackpink's career honestly. They need to bring back what makes them THEM. The creativity and talent that their artists have, LET THEM SHOW IT. Stop boxing all your artists into gender swapped versions of each other. They all have so much promise and YG gets lets them release songs are carbon copies of each other and then makes them take like a 10 month break and lets all the competition just blow them out of the water. Not to mention you can't let groups just come in and do your own identity better than you (cuz why is XG more YG than most YG groups?) You need momentum first. Groups like Blackpink dont need constant releases because they've alreadly cemented themselves into kpop. They were promoting like mad in their early days because that's what you literally have to do so your fans don't forget you.
That's why groups like IVE(coming to age), LSF(club-like), G IDLE(non-apologetic), NewJeans(y2k) and aespa(cyber) are thriving because they have found their own sound.

If the group is talented in what they do and the public is willing to embrace them and their style accept it. So by the numbers your a minority. If you want the other style of Kpop , go listen to SM and JYP artists. Even groups like Everglow and Dreamcatcher have a certain style to their music, you must dislike them too.

Yg is done for if they disband blackpink because this attempt to replicate their success was a huge fail. Blackpink's concept was already feeling recycled back in KTL days and that was 5 years ago, so idk why they thought that concept would last long enough to apply to an entire new group. IMO Lisa was the reason that the previous project went so far and worked as well and virally as it did (despite the concept feeling so artificial and tired). I think the girl crush concept is what made BP palatable to international fans, but that one specific member and their star-power lent itself immensely to the group's success. As talented and skilled as baemon members are, do they have that X-factor member who will perform the same function as Lisa?

Blackpink's concept was already feeling recycled back in KTL days and that was 5 years ago, so idk why they thought that concept would last long enough to apply to an entire new group. IMO Lisa was the reason that the previous project went so far and worked as well and virally as it did (despite the concept feeling so artificial and tired). I think the girl crush concept is what made BP palatable to international fans, but that one specific member and their star-power lent itself immensely to the group's success.

I said her star-power is a huge part of why Blackpink hit as back as they did, and imo she's contributed the most out of all the members on that front. The chorus is a little boring, but the verses and raps are exactly what I wanted from YG. The song has been on repeat and I definitely hope they keep the sound, just spice it up a little.
