I understand having one Mister Trader. I am ALL too aware of the rumors surrounding the Lord Guilliman and that Yvraine xenos. But *FOUR?!* Explain yourself!"

I think Grace’s fate could have been a lot worse. To hear you describe it, Arthur, that planet was BEGGING to be become one giant Slaaneshi cult, which would be promptly invaded by warp-spawned terrors.

There is no setbacks, only thematic planning.
The shadowkith story is funny because it's one of those instances of weird shit just happening completely divorced of the Imperium/Chaos/major xenos dynamic. Like it shows that even if those weren't factors the 40k galaxy itself is just inherently hostile and eldritch.
Another example is the Halo Devices that are just mundane pieces of xenos jewelry that make you immortal at the expense of also making you basically a Morbius-vampire. No one knows who made them or why they were made to do that either, it's like they were just left out to be found by gullible humans as some sort of sick cosmic joke.

@@theodorehodbor5080ghosts as you understand them don’t really exist in 40k. There are echos, where if an event is particularly emotions charged enough, there will be a ghost image left over playing the events over and over again, but it’s less of a spirit and more of a spiritual recording of the event.

@@theodorehodbor5080 you can’t communicate with them, a ghost is still a semi sapient creature. You’re more so watching a recording. Daemons are closer to ghosts and they still aren’t ghosts.

This planet is 100% going to be in the new Rouge Trader CRPG. Either the base game. Or a big DLC foucused around it and eitherr trying to save those still human and sane. Or plundering it for the many treasures and exotic weapons still locked away in vaults.
And i for one look forward to that.

Edit: not to be that guy to point out similarities but this Story of this rogue trader, gives me MASSIVE. Pitch Black or as some would know the Riddick franchise. Like not exactly but the build up sounds like Pitch black.

I don't remember the specifics, but there's a craftworld out there taken over by a gene stealer cult that's too small to make a Tyrannid swarm change course, so they're just...existing. And I think there's still Eldari living in pockets on that craftworld. So it's like Silent Hill in Space. Picture how creepy THAT would be.

On the opposite end of the spectrum there's that Carlos McConnell fellow who (re)discovered the planet full abhumans that he named 'Carlos McConnell' and is full of... felinids. Literal cat-people. Most explicit descriptions GW's allowed them to have in the lore makes them sound like the cat-people race from Thundercats (although they might be full on anime catgirls for all we know. Rogue Traders get up to the whackiest shit I swear to the God-Emperor).
I always felt like her first name should be pronounced "Aspis".

I live in the southern United States, and summer just lasts longer here. As such, I think Halloween comes too early. The scenery doesn't start feeling really creepy until the first week in November.

As a south East Asian growing up in a multicultural environment where I’ve read names from every major demographic, I would confidently pronounce her name as either “Ah-spiss” or “ah-spick”. Personally, I would go with “Ah-spick”.

TECHNICALLY: October is NOT the month to do All Hallows stuff, as Halloween is just the evening BEFORE All Hallows' Day, which begins November, which is traditionally designated as the month of All Souls, in which Christians pray for the deceased faithful.
So in reality, your video is one of ONLY ones in the CORRECT month!

Nah its not the fact that they infested a whole tomb world but that their leader is uninfected and feeding them, this must be horryfying, can't even puke and has to increase the amount of decay constantly to give his people a lil bit of peace. One could argue that Necrons evolved beyond being able to grasp this horror anymore as we do, but one of them couldn't cope with entropy being a thing that he started creating the mother of all collections to cope with it; one controls time and would rather be stuck in a time loop than admit defeat, one is way way way to much into genocide to even try explaining he isn't literally the racsist uncle. One just ventured out into the void, became angsty and run back as he met some fucking bugs that probably just straight up completely ignored him. Thats every Necron I know of and they all show ludacris reactions to stress, so the flayed king probably having special paths he keeps free from blood being unable to cross any would absolutely check out and he can't even do verbal fiatfights with his people for stress relief literally everyone things that he must be infected and contagious, probably one of the worst obligations anyone in the universe has. Big e gets "at least" a pathway to becoming deifyed, all the Necron dude is getting are imagunative friends
You forgot to mention the one that may be be suffering from schizophrenia thinking he's still a being of flesh and blood fighting in a civil war or not and he just acts like he's schizophrenic just to spice up his existence

@@537zun4 it's name is zahndrekth he's a nemesor of the sautekh dynasty and he's actually the greatest military genius in the necron empire second only to the stormlord himself (who's coincidentally the phaeron of the sautekh) but unfortunately zahndrekth suffered brain damage during the great sleep and soo he still thinks he's a necrontyr (its the name of the necrons when they were still meatbags) fighting one of their many civil wars as such he views the necron foes as necrontyr separatists even if he's facing literal daemons or tyranids... Or soo it says because in one of his novels he implies to obyron (his bodyguard and BFF and/or possibly lover not sure about this part) that he's perfectly aware of what's going on and just acts like he's schizophrenic just to spice things up and clown on his political enemies in the dynasty who are eager to replace him and haven't managed yet because he's still the second greatest general of the empire and obyron is a VERY GOOD bodyguard

About rogue traders being dicks it's because most rogue traders are just random nobles and other political enemies of the high-Lords of terra that the latter saw as potential threats to their position but can't afford to assassinate without martyr them or endanger their reputation soo they elevate them to rogue traders in the hopes that they will die in some forgotten corner of the galaxy and never return
The scariest planet in 40K is the one with the giant mUrDEr-spiders that can go toe-to-toe with Astartes.
