Pretty easy scavenger hunt! Though he did have to go a bit of a distance for it, since he lives in Sighisoara and the locker box was in the Bucharest Gara de Nord (north station - hence the go south before you are in the north clue). @@bigatenkai797 no shot, the location is absurdly obvious, you can literally pinpoint the location to the inch on google maps, and get other images of that exact locker. Considering he lives in romania, romania has a pretty robust rail system, and the clues would be painfully obvious to him the odds of him not having found it and lying about it are 0

@@RomeDrori"Robust" railway system is not how I'd describe it, since there are a lot of delays and trains often break. But even then, you're probably getting to Bucharest within 24h even by train (faster by car or coach), and the North Railway Station (which is south of the Arch of Triumph) is the obvious location, especially since both are very well known.

This was fun watching, I know exactly the place but I got late to the vid ;w; either way I think you made the hints too easy because the people living here will instantly recognize it.
if by any chance anyone did not decipher the hints:
- The country is Romania
- The structure is "Arcul de Triumf" made after the french "Arc de Triomphe" from Paris (ours is located in Bucharest, the Capital)
- The hint about going South until you reach North means you have to look for "Gara de Nord" which is the main train station we have in Bucharest.
- The final part is just a short video showing the exact location, it's a place with a bunch of lockers and the code for the specific locker, once there you can find it p easily or if you're from here you know the exact place already.
I don't even live there, never been there and I could follow the directions. I would definitely be too late (cuz someone there would watch) and it cost more for the flight, than the pc, etc.

Im from white rock south surrey like Linus and visited that part of the world after being in ukraine for the war. gypsies right? i didnt go to romania but i was in hungary serbia bulgaria ukraine so all surrounding countries. literally didnt go to romania cause i heard it wasnt worth it. dracula castle is some scam and then the gypsies only get worse there? btw Linus I'm your neighbour and I could def use a PC more than this guy. I took it as going south out of Bucharest, Romania into Bulgaria, then in the north of Bulgaria, just south of Bucharest there's Ruse Central Railway Station in Ruse.

@@lordbiffington7037 First clue: Romania. Second clue: arch. There is an Arch Of Triumph in Bucharest. Third clue: "head south to go north", south from the Arch lies the "Northern Train Station". Then it was just a matter of looking on Google Maps a luggage deposit service that looked like the one you see in the video. Look closely, the floor tiles you see on the locker's door at 12:58 even match the ones you can see right here: maps.app.goo.gl/WD98eQL9AdiQwc8c8

@@MrQuequito linus gave a clue about an Arch, one of Bucharest's monuments is the Triumph Arch. Next he said something about going south before he is in the north. Valer doesn't live in Bucharest so he has to go there, and where exactly? In the Gara de Nord (North Station - hence go south before you are in the north). He also said something about a train station so that confirmed it was Gara de Nord. After that, it's all about the lockbox and the pin to open it.

Everyone skipped the intro apparently. Linus explains in the intro that the individual was notified 24 hours prior to this video going live, and also gave him access to the video before it was made public.
Likely the video was privated for 24 hours and he got the link early, hence him posting a comment before the release of the video.
Exactly I have been know to be watching a CZcams video and see something cool that I then pause the video and go off l post a comment about. Occasionally I will have to go back and edit that comment because I didn't wait to finish the video before committing. I didn't realize how many people even comment before watching any of the video but this comment section shows it is can be a lot just probably depends on the video.
True... though according to the guy's soundcloud he lives ~ 4 hr 14 min (302.0 km) away and he could have automated the whole message linus thing so you never know if he saw the response early enough. if he released the video 24 hours ago that means 9 pm yesterday, few hours before the station closes and all the drunkies go home or gypsies run the streets, the chances of this being sent to the lost and found or stolen are higher haha

This is a genious content idea, and the idea of them soing a series of videos where they hide pc's in major places around the world, is just an amazing idea.
Mr beast seems to do this kind of content, but with other things rather than computers.

Also, I was in Bucharest in 2017 in January and enjoyed walking down from their Arcul de Triumf to the local museum with a giant giraffe model outside of it in the snow while listening to Depeche Mode.

LTT could make vouchers for $5000 vendor upgrades and hide them in different countries and leave local clues like this, but in an ARG style. They can get several videos out of each one.
This could be a great idea, add in runner up prizes like merch, geocache style.
Whether or not you ban those that beg, this scavenger hunt/trivia thing is a great format for a series
I managed to narrow down the list of possible places to these 5 places but no more than that:

3. București Basarab (Basarab Railway Station)
4. București Băneasa (Băneasa Railway Station)

An annual global PC scavenger hunt would be a cool idea. One PC, hints in the build video, winner is first to find the PC. Maybe tie it to a charity/fundraiser

But i feel the clues were a bit too obvious and I would love to see LTT do something similar like this but make it a more proper arg with puzzles that may be genuinely difficult to solve.
If you wanna see something like that, Max Fosh hid 100,000USD diamond fish and made a treasure hunt, it was pretty wild :D

Elijah is quickly becoming my favorite character in the Linus cinematic universe.
I really want them to drop the whole helmet gag though. It feels needlessly mean, even though I know he plays along with it. It's the kind of silly joke that can stick with you and have real consequences of people actually treating him differently. There's already people call him dumb and special. He is way too nice to have to out up with it IMO

Amazing video. It's the second time a romanian is being mentioned in one of Linus videos, but he probably doesn't know about the other one. It's me, the developer of Wintoys, the app which he showcased last year. I worked on that app for the same amount of time he was begging. This situation is funny at least.

I need help please read all of this. I have a problem with 2 out of the 4 ram slots on my motherboard. I have a Gigabyte B550 UD AC motherboard. I'm also using OLOy DDR4 RAM 32GB 2x16GB Blade Aura Sync RGB 3600MHz CL18. If I put 1 stick in A1 and the other in B1 then turn it on it will stay on for a few seconds turn off then turn itself back on. But it won't post. Also the same thing happens when I put a stick in A2 and the other in B2. I've also let it set there for over 20 minutes just in case it was doing memory learning or whatever. But it never did anything. Something else none of my other RGB in the case will turn on when all this is going on. Now if I put both of sticks of RAM in slot A1 and A2 then turn it on all my RGB turns on it doesn't turn itself off then back on and it starts up and posts with no issue. I know the RAM is getting power because the RGB on the RAM will light up just the computer will not post unless both of my sticks are in A1 and A2. Someone please tell me anything?

Props on am4! I'm running mid-high 90 percentile overall on my pc and still don't have an X3D. I love new hardware a d the hype train is insane. Maybe I got lucky but I have a ryzen 5700x overclocked amd I believe I undervolted it... or maybe its stock on that level but my 65tdp 5700, is overclocled using less power than imaginable and I surpas between 80-90% 5800x cpus with half the power. Im using a stock amd cooler and ol girl still runs cooler than I could've hoped even under high stress cpus stress tests. I have considered 5800x3d more than once, am5 more than once, but then I'll immediately want to upgrade my GPS because every upgrade always opens up ankther upgrade amd why? I can literally run anything maxed out. I thought about trying cp2077 with path tracing and afmf but haven't bothered. I can ray trace fine on my top 2 amd GPUs considering Nvidia takes performance hit also so I'm curious if frsm gen with PT will be playable at all because as is, Path tracing murders my performance
.. however I think that is pretty much the same story for everyone even those with 4080. Even 4090 take a hit so hard it really is questionable whether it works it. The last two gens I wouldn't buy a Nvidia gpu at msrp under any circumstances UNLESS I HAD to have the very best in which case I would only consider 4090 as its the only one without a cheaper and likely more powerful counterpart from AmD. However im notn spending that on a gpu

BYU Football (American university american football team/club) Did a thing for a few years leading up to each season where they would drop swag accross the entire country, one per day for about a month, and take just a no context photo of where they left it. Every time was claimed within hours, even stuff on the other side of the country from the team. People are wildly good at this stuff, and often willing to drop everything to do it.

I loved this, you gave him a pc, he had to work for it and it wasn't a 5K 8upgrade job but a decent machine for anyone, good compromise, and lols, glad he found it
Well my point of view is that he made it a thing to do it every day and you guys get to make a video of this and we get to watch and enjoy it.. So congrats to Valer Cosara you diligence paid off.. Congrats to Linus for the lekker video and cudos to me because it's Friday and I get to go home earlier today to play on my computer which I built with my hard earned money.

That is one of the best concepts of a LTT video ever. Definitely deserves to become a series, Ultimate Tech Upgrade style. Of course, not to anyone who spams/asks. Just picking a city/country at random would be better. treasure hunts are fun. and their audience is big enough that they could basically pick any major city in any country and the PC would still be found in the first day.
ROG Rig Reboot was a series they did similar to what you're looking for, but people had to send in essays and videos and get chosen.

You've been teasing us for months on the magnetic cable management thingies. Are they really available now? Be still my heart. And my wallet.
Maybe somebody experiences what i did with PC crashing during gaming. I had x5800 with 32gb trident neo z cl14 3600 and the gigabyte b550 mitx and enabling xmp caused file cannot be read in some games. I ended up switching to MSI Gaming b550 ATX and xmp works with this combo.
Other solution was switch from gskill to corsair.
