That view of Segovia is glorious! I’m transported back centuries. ;).
It really is a fantastic place to visit. An underrated gem in Spain.
Rob, my sister and my niece are visiting Spain for the first time from Orlando. They have navigated to Toledo and Segovia using your videos. Totally appreciated dude. Muchas gracias!
That's great to hear. Thanks. And we love coming to Orlando!
@@robonholidayblog If you are by Orlando let me know. Orlando has many beautiful natural settings. Its more than just Disney.
This is very well explained. We’ll be in Madrid at the end of May and wanted to take a day trip to Segovia. So knowing how to get there is very appreciated
Thanks for watching. Segovia is a great day trip from Madrid. If you don't want to walk up too many hills, I would recommend getting a taxi from the station straight to Alcazar and then you can head mostly downhill on your way back towards the cathedral and the aqueduct, where you can then get the bus back to the station if you wish.
Great presentation - thank you.
No problem, glad you enjoyed it
We are going tomorrow. Thanks for the details. Also watching other videos. Super helpful
Thanks for watching. Hope you have a great time!
Madrid. The Prado. First step on art tour. ;). They have treasures.
Amazing video! Didn't know we can do day trip there from Madrid. Currently planning our trip to Spain. Now I am extending our stay in Madrid! Thank you!
Thanks for the comment. Yes, Segovia is a great place to visit and only 30 minutes from Madrid by train. If you have some extra time, it would be nice to stay there overnight to see the buildings lit up, but it is more than doable in a day. Hope you have a great trip.
Just visited this gorgeous town this September. It's still good to see your lovely video. thanks!
Thanks for watching and glad you enjoyed your visit to Segovia. It really is a beautiful place with so much history.
Im going in Sept as well. How was the weather?
Very helpful video mate. Particularly the interiors you showed…hadn’t seen them in other videos. Also the place where the train station is, a bit out of the Centre. I’m going to be there late February so the weather should be reasonable.
Thanks for the comment. Glad it was helpful. We also went to Segovia in February and it was pretty sunny for most of the day. I'm sure you'll have a great time. Yes, the train station is out of the centre, but you can get a bus or taxi to the centre in under 20 minutes.
Great video to the point. I would recommend a better microphone or clip on mic for descriptions in noisy areas.👍🏼😅
Yes, absolutely. Since filming this, we have invested in a clip-on mic and it has really made a difference.
Great video, did you have to prebook your train tickets?
We did prebook our tickets but you don’t have to - there are plenty of trains every day
How are you?-Love it- that's superb ~bye~Robonholidaytravel~
How can I get back to Segovia Guiomar station if my day drip end in Alcázar of Segovia?
Which bus is suggested or by taxi or Uber?
From the Alcazar, you would have to get a taxi. The main bus routes go through the centre of the town, but not up to the Alcazar.
How much time did you spent while in Segovia. I’m planning to buy the train tickets in advance thus need to have an idea if 5 or 6 hours will be ok.
We got there about 10:30am and left about 4pm, so we had 51/2 hours. But we tend to do things very fast. Also bear in mind that the train station isn't in the centre. But yes, in principle, 5-6 hours should be doable.
Thanks!!! Very helpful information for me.
@@user-pl5my8hp8i You're welcome. Glad you enjoyed it.
You go to Spain and get a coffee in Starbucks. Do you eat in McDonald's too?
Yes. We go for the amazing places and architecture- food is often a secondary consideration (although we did have paella and horchata in Valencia and tortilla in Toledo)
Same here. I go for the architecture. Not so much for the Spain food.
Is it easy to do on your iwn with no knowledge if the language?
In terms of getting the train and taxi, you shouldn't have a problem. All the signage is also in English. The only issues you may have is around the city itself (e.g. ordering food), but you can make yourself understood as long as your query isn't too complicated. To be fair, this isn't something we have to think about because my daughter speaks fluent Spanish.
i have been to madrid a few times and live in spain. the majority of people in madrid and spain speak english so as long as you know 1 or 2 spanish phrases you will be fine.
Can we get the train ticket on spot?
Yes you can buy train tickets at the station on the day.
Thanks Rob! Is there an app to track the timings and route for trains, metros & buses?
@@dristibaruah1521 Not sure about an app for timings, but you can see the routes by looking at a Madrid Metro map, a RENFE map for the train to Segovia. For the buses, there is a Spanish site I found (my daughter speaks Spanish) but we didn't end up using the buses. To get from the station to the centre, it would be route 11. I will post the links in another comment.
