This could have been my comment. I too am 71 and this helped me soooo much. Steve really went back to basics and taught me alot. I am glad Ms Young learned it too. Kinda makes me think maybe I am not the only one around that doesn't know computers very well. This is Wanda Crago and I really want to thank each and every one of the crew on Guru

I have a friend who isn't very well-versed with technology/computers, and asked me to write him an email with instructions on how to use a USB drive. Virtually every grueling detail I was dreading having to verbalize is covered fantastically well in this video. Thank you very much, GuruBrew, for respecting that there are still users who need every detail meticulously spelled out.

It is refreshing to have explanations with a good background overview and which do not assume that the learner/Luddite is familiar with the terminology or device. Completely free of condescension too. You did a good job. Thank you!

Thank you Steve, for talking plainly so I could understand what you are talking about, and not jumping all over the place as some do. I almost gave up trying to find out how to use the Flash Drive. My Daughter always done this for me, she died in 2018, so I am learning to do this my self. Being 74 years old, it was not easy finding this information. You are an Angel and a Blessing. Thank you so much!

I just started college and am not all that computer savvy. Of course, today's college experience is all about knowing how to use computers. My first 3 classes are, pretty much, all about getting comfortable with using computers and unfamiliar software (like Canvas) and one of my first assignments requires my being able to put my school work on a flash drive (which I have NEVER done).
Your video makes it look pretty darned easy! Thank you!!!

Another good tip that I use is Renaming the USB stick, like `Steve`s File Cabinet` then in the future when you want to save an item there`s no confusion on which Drive you want to save it too as Steve`s File Cabinet will appear in the list of Drives, sometimes people get confused over all the Drive letters i.e C. D.E.F Drive etc.

Not to take away from some of them, but you pal stand alone from them all ! A true gift you have to give back to others. Your calm and cool thoroughness of explaining is spot on. Without confusion of any sort. And for that ! Even though reading all of these comments of mutual feelings on your teaching skills. I have to put my 2 cents in. And for that I give you a At ta Boy, My Man, and a pat on the back! As a reminder well done Sir. And if are paths should cross one day. You got a Brew or 2 on me! Thanks, Peace & Rock n' Roll !

Yes, it was informative and you do a good job presenting; vocal tone is even and you consistently make eye contact back to the viewer. I must admit that I'm one of those people who know enough about technology to sometimes get myself into trouble. Because of that, I have purchased flash drives that I thought were a good deal but didn't know quite where to go from there. So, on saying that, I have a 32GB Sand Disk flash drive that I would like to use on my Chromebook. How much data can this substantially hold and what is the duration of the product? More than or less than 10 years? One more question. How do you suggest moving data from your older flash drive safely to a newer one? Thanks in advance and again, thank you for your wonderful how to video. You've just earned a follower.

Thank you, I have to remove all the data from my computer because I am installing 8.1. I had no idea what a flashdrive was so I am looking forward to giving it a try. I miss the disk (easier to keep track of). You seem to be a good instructer. I look forward to other classes you have. Sincerely bk mcl
