I bought a new one to replace an old one. It came with the aluminum brackets and hardware. Do I have to replace all of that or can I just use the old?

If the parts are the same, you can replace only that ones that needs to be replaced.

raTex You’ll have to remove the whole thing if you want to replace the arm rest completely.

If you talk about the lid with the coushing, then yes. You can buy those lids on ali express. But they come without the coushion and cotton. They are made from plastic and have a leather like inprint structure.
As for the replacement: just press the old lid out at its hinge with a screwdriver, and put the new lid in its place.
