I could never decipher "Forget the post, put down your toast.". I could only hear "Forget the ponds worth and the tussy.". I mean, I knew it wasn't that. But I couldn't hear anything else. The internets eventually put that one to rest. God bless the internets.
MALLETS MALLET word association game ,,,,mustnt pause hesitate ,,otherwise u get a bonk on the head like this,, or like this ,,the 1 with the most bruises loses :)
@FlooringLegend TOO TRUE . but a catchy little tune . and mallets mallet came from it . I still play that with my daughter when we are bored in the car lol
You're probably jokin but I would be incredibly surprised, I've worked in TV, music and film for over 20 years, and only ever heard good things about him off camera. I've recently worked with Timmy and his wife (who he was with all the way through Itsy Bitsy years etc) and they are absolutely lovely people. Timmy did a lot of good back in the day, covering subjects like Aparttheid etc. sensitively and making big topics relatable for young kids. Not all kids TV presenters were dodgy! Andy Peters, Pete Schofield, Andy Crane, Neil Buchannan etc never heard anything bad about them. Don't tar everyone with the same brush please.
He hit the bottle pretty hard. Made a petty living in those "Cash 4 Gold" adverts, made some racist comments on local radio - had to delete his Twitter account after that. Him and Timmy don't speak anymore, either.
We were so lucky growing up in the 80s. Best TV ever. Loved Timmy Mallet and Mallets mallet... Now about to watch the Grange hill theme tune
