Nice one Rick. Love the simplicity of the Falcon dash I used to ride in a Blue 1964 / 4 dr Falcon -a friend owned. Hadn't changed much from this 1960 Ranchero. Love how clean it is. Ive been a busy boy with the Grands Rick so not much chance to be on here. Glad you're still doing cars............................John, Ontario.
Sure was good to talk with you today Rick. That is a nice Ranchero, going to make for a good project. I think you are doing the right thing motor wise with the Nova and the truck. Take care
Eager to see the ranchero progression ! I also bought a $1500 goodwrench crate motor several years ago. They are low compression but it was all new standard bore motor, was well worth the money.
Very nice little Ranchero for sure. The truck will be good when you get done with it. Don't worry about the thumbs down guy, I get them from time to time too, for no apparent reason.
I love the Ranchero, I would try and get the owner to spend a little money on the rear maybe tub it slightly and use offset wheels to get the wheel clearance, I wonder if you put rear disc brakes whether that might give you an inch or two. She will make a beautiful project in any event. I also love that truck, I have been thinking about a truck project myself but I really have to get the Chevelle done. I am hoping to get most done by spring. Great to see you Rick and I look forward to seeing more of you in the Garage ;)
4.8 in the truck sounds like a excellent plan! One thing you might want to look into is a good wrench 350. they are brand new from gm and have warranty. Four bolt mains. long block less manifolds. I like that 2005. Take Care Rick
Nice Ranchero there Rick, a survivor for sure..... Can't go wrong with fire service vehicles. always stored indoors and well maintained.... The project pickup will be well suited for a 5.3 or 5.7 vortec don't you think ? Great to see you brother !
Hey Rick, how are you doing? I just heard about Hales from VW Darrin, very sad, and I thought about you. Haven't heard anything in a while and thought I'd check in. Wendell
