    Can you give an advice for skinny fat people (especially me) if they are going to approach this method.

    • @BenWinney
      @BenWinney  Před 2 lety +4

      If you're skinny fat the best thing to do is to bulk to build the muscle and then cut. I know you want to be lean right now but if you cut first you won't have any muscle underneath, and you will just be skinny, instead of ripped and muscular. It takes time to build the muscle (which requires a calorie surplus (bulk)), and then you can cut afterwards to reveal the lean muscle beneath the fat. Good luck bro

    • @BenWinney
      @BenWinney  Před 2 lety +4

      It means the rep range is between 10 and 30. So you could do 3x10, 3x20, 3x30 or even 3x15. If you can only do 3x15 that's fine, as long as it's challenging (you struggle to get the last few reps) and next time you try to get 3x16.

    • @BenWinney
      @BenWinney  Před rokem +1

      You could add an arm day on Saturday. For example 3x10 barbell curls, 3x10 french press, 3x15 dumbbell curls, 3x20 triceps extensions, and then finish with pushups to failure and inverted rows to failure. That would get you lots of extra arm volume, then you have Sunday to recover before your workout on Monday.

    • @BenWinney
      @BenWinney  Před rokem +1

      You can train full body without necessarily blasting the same muscle group 2 days in a row. For example I don't usually program front delt work on Monday and Tuesday. Usually it would be more like Monday, and then Thursday so that muscle group has a full 3 days to recover. And once you have been training full body for a while, you will get used to training several days in a row.

    • @BenWinney
      @BenWinney  Před 2 lety +4

      There is a link in the bio to a diet plan I have made. What you will need to eat is very individual and you'll have to experiment but take a look at the plan and it will set you in the right direction. You need enough protein (0.8g per lb bodyweight), enough carbs to fuel your workouts, and enough fats for normal hormone production. And try to get most of it from whole foods (meat, vegetables, fruit, nuts, dairy).

      The abs are a muscle as well bro, bulk and train them with weight, my favorite are weighted deficit crunches on a bench( they are a bit difficult so practice it a bit first) and hanging leg raises, train them 1-2 times a week, maybe even three. Just remember they’re a muscle and should be treated as such
