Ownership Update! 2021 Ford Raptor 37 Package …do I miss the Tundra TRD Pro?

- In this video I provide a short update on how the 2021 Ford Raptor had been treating me. To sum it up, this truck has been exceptional. But far more truck than I need. The Tundra TRD Pro was the perfect fit for my family. The price was much better too. That glorious 5.7L V8 growl is something I miss every day too.
But I know the second I decide to sell the Raptor is the second I’ll begin to miss the fantastic interior, beautiful body lines and remarkable performance of this…
What are your thoughts? Should I have kept the Tundra TRD Pro?
Thank you for watching!

One of the features that I think Toyota missed on the 2022 Tundra was the Auto 4wd.
And lack of recovery hooks
GM got killed for not updating their truck interior….Toyota gets accolades for not updating theirs 🤔
Price of everything is up because the dollar was devalued by money printing.
Bingo 👌
I regretted it at first. Now I’m thankful! I know I’m in a vehicle that will last forever. Such a good feeling.
Peace of mind is priceless. =]
Same reasoning I had regarding my CO '21 Raptor. And it had to grow on me, now I absolutely love it.
I’m a Tundra fan. But I gotta admit that the Raptor has some cool interior features.
As a former 2020 Pro owner who also owns a 37 raptor, the comparison isn’t even close. Ford does so much good in the 21 raptor. The pro just feels like a relic. Drove rough (after upgrading to ridge grapplers) only had zip with tow/haul and got crappy gas mileage. Was never a ford fan, but they have definitely got me with the raptor
As a former Tundra owner and current raptor owner I have to say the only thing I miss is the sound. The 5.7 was a slow gas hog. This raptor is way more fun to drive around!
Thanks for the motivation! Incredible garage
Thank you! I’m very grateful to be in a position to own these wonderful rigs. Didn’t happen by accident though.
@@UntamedMotors I’m looking for a mentor is that something you would be interested in?
I see way more Raptors than TRD Pros. But maybe not the 37 version.
Thank you for your video.
My pleasure, thanks for watching!
How’s it ride? Like floating on a cloud? What’s your opinion of the new F150 Tremor?
What’s your thought about the front plate inhibiting air flow? I’ve heard conflicting reports…
I love your raptor!
Code orange is stunning, 37 is the way to go, awesome truck, we havent seen much gen 3 raptors up here in Canada, a few here and there marked up 20k over msrp. Code orange with 37 will be what am going for with recaros, am also curious how atlas blue will look, I did have a gen2 lightning blue which was not too bad of color
I’m about to pull the trigger on a 37 raptor, but not sure if I will regret trading in the Tacoma trd pro. I already have a full long travel kit but haven’t installed it because the gen 3 raptor caught my eye. I’m really torn between the two and don’t know what to do 😢
There is one available here in my area, seriously thought about it.
Maybe after closing...
I will never own another Ford! On my 2nd Tundra and love it! Definitely still watch your channel weekly even though the PRO is gone! Keep up the good content sir! 👌
He has bought and thrown away 3 Tundra TRD Pros now after a few months of getting them. 3 strikes. By Law he can never buy another Tundra TRD pro again. The punishment for doing so is severe..
@@freeravenadventures6925 Lol 😆 yep I've seen all the Tundras he's gone through. I'm only on my 2nd one because I traded in my '16 for my '21
Let’s hear your Ford horror story. I got my own
…
#LimRush4vr. yes agree bright colors. Need more of them.
Yes but I like the tundra sound your raptor sounds so funny 😂
Definitely makes me want to buy a gen 3.. keeping my gen 1 though
Your Gen1 is becoming a valuable relic… only goodness in keeping it! 😃
@@UntamedMotors that's good news for us Gen 1 owners, because I happen to prize my "relic" more than peanut butter and chocolate, and wouldn't part with it for a million bucks. My Boss V8 6.2 engine that still gets nearly 15 mpgs😁
❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥
Are the 37 tires really worth it over 35? I’m finally in the market and 37 is ‘home CFO approved’ but I’m second guessing a real need (as if a Raptor is needed) for the 37. The 35 has just as good if angles as a LC & better clearance. One thing that concerns me is blowing a tire at highway speeds with the 37. I also hear the 37 feels sluggish compared to the 35. We will be doing off-roading in SoCal mountains & woods. I would love to hear your feedback between the 35 & 37.
The 37 has improved suspension settings to allow maximum performance for the larger/heavier tires. If you’re going to get a Raptor, May as we’ll aim for the better option. It’s money you’ll “get back” when you sell later down the road. 37 performance packages are more desirable… and will allow for maximum residual moving forward. 👍
@@UntamedMotors Thank you. It will be my daily in Los Angeles but I know several Raptor owners who have learned to ‘manage’ the city driving. I was more concerned with turning radius, safety (blowing a 37” tire on 405 at 75+ mph), etc. I appreciate your feedback.
@@UntamedMotors if you were buying a 22 35 what would you think the inked ADM would be.. in Cali?
@@TCinSoCal Cali is still running outrageous markups across the board. I’d be shocked to see anything less than 10K over in that state.
@@UntamedMotors I had offered 10 so we will see. I’ll let you know. They want 25. Over 10ish & I look in other states. Don’t mind a road trip.
The rims look funny on the raptor
Need the backseat doggie protector for the Raptor too.
I vote you keep the Raptor until you can get ahold of a '22 Tundra TRD Pro to give it a shot
I thought you also had a Blue Raptor (the one you bought from the guy with the G-wagen).
Nice memory, yes. The lightning blue was sweet!
I’ll be keeping my 20 AG Tundra trd pro over the raptor imo…. great vid as always brother !!
That’s a wise choice! Just a great color too. 👌
Me too!!! FORD, fix on the road lol 😂
Tundra! But this is cool.
I appreciate the videos I just wanna know why you get so many vehicles that you don’t keep for very long. I mean the vehicles your buying can last 20 years, to each their own but wouldn’t it be smarter to just buy one of these vehicles and keep driving it?
To add new content to his channel. He usually makes money on each sale. No brainer.
did u pay msrp ? if no ,how much add.dealer markup did u pay.
Yeah I paid a markup. I talk through the details in my original intro video of the Raptor. Feel free to check it out.
Can you notice a huge difference in performance from the trd pro to this raptor?
Yes. 100%… the performance feels night and day is nearly every regard. Buuuut there’s just something to be said about the Tundra TRD Pro. It’s raw, simple and a total brute.
@@UntamedMotors I know I have a 2020 trd pro, I was looking at the 22 pro but idk for the price you can get a new raptor the way I built both out. Just curious since you have owned both several times. Thank you for your info and I knew it would be a difference obviously but wasn't sure how much difference. Yes the old gen 5.7 with trd dual exhaust sounds amazing. Idk I'm torn I have a deposit on a 22 pro but may be leaning to a raptor. Take care and keep up the content.
Nice rigs. I'm considering dumping gas guzzlers, fuel will only increase and guzzlers value will decline while hybrids value improves. You might want to consider this. Also, interest in survival style rigs will be increasing in view of current events. Example; van conversions, 4x4 excursion vans etc.
I understand your logic, but the gas guzzling muscle era from the 70s are at all time highs. It’s possible the true gasoline/diesel 4x4s of today will increase in value once everything starts going full electric
People will realize that EVs are niche products. If they don't have a garage to charge their vehicles and lack solar panel roof, it costs more than gas and time wasted when recharging the battery.
you should start looking a corolla "trd pro"...petrol prices will kill all v8s and v6´s in near future..let´s hope prices won´t get so high
They’ll come back down. 👍
when lambo? lol
I love my 2nd gen tundra sr5 and would not trade it for a raptor
awesome car but the interior is outdated.
saudi arabia in flame oil going $1000 buy sedan sell big track
The 3rd Gen Raptor looks great. I just couldnt stomach a V6 full size truck. Fake, funneled in sound.... No, just no.. lol. Long live the iForce 5.7 V8!!!
It’s not fake or funneled in sound on these…completely different exhaust and real sound in the Gen 3…. wether or not you like the sound is completely subjective however, but you can’t argue taste as they say…I love the sound…def not a V8, but like a very aggressive race car when set to Baja exhaust and the RPM’s get above 4K!!
Iforce is gone. The new Tundra has a TT 3.5 V6
@@jazroc56 Ford had to shape the exhaust like a damn trombone to get any sound from the V6. It's embarrassing either way
@@freeravenadventures6925 haha!!! I know right?!!! How disgraceful that they used ingenuity and innovation to make the very capable yet historically underwhelming sound of a TT V6 sound pretty darn good lol…they should be ashamed for even trying lol lol lol!! Smh…
@Me or just put a V8 back in the Raptor where it belongs. No body asked for a V6 full size truck
The only people that notice or really care about raptors are owners. It just blends in with every other Ford truck.
