Yes they started the violence by burning meitei houses in churchanpur.People were carrying AK47 in that peace rally on May 3.They are good at playing victim card because they are minority and Christian

Meiteis are victims in their own land from all angles for decades. Myanmar rebels are running freely with AK47 and M16 rifles in Manipur, and the GOI is just watching them as they signed a secret document to produce Kuki BJP MLAs. Mizoram CM, being an early rebel who took shelter in Chin State in Myanmar for many years, is also encouraging illegal immigration for his zombie dream of greater mizoram. This is a well planned oiled machine of Chin Kukis and Manipur Kuki leaders since 1993 Naga Assault to create Meitei Kuki tension so they can demand Kuki administration in Manipur, plant Poppy, drug trafficking for arms purchase, and attack on Myanmar Military from India. New Delhi is just playing politics of 2024 and who cares for Manipur with just 2 MPs and no economic impact. Dr Jaishankar and James bond Ajit Doval has to know Kashmir is not the only border of India, Manipur also has a long porous border from golden triangle of drugs via Myanmar. If you have a country, you have a border. That has to be protected whether your brother or sister lives on the other side or not. Uncontrolled movement and illegal migration has to be stopped for a long term solution. Will Modi, Shah, Rajnath allow Kashmirs from Pakistan to come to Indian side and roam around with AK47 and M-16 snippers shooting down from Gulmarg to Kashmir valley. Manipur valley is just like Kashmir valley. Manipur border should be protected if India considers Manipur in its territory. Otherwise, leave Manipur to its own people just like before 1949. Let them fight out and determine their own fates. Civilizations come and go, from ashes, new generation will arise and continue the race. Manipur has more than 2000 years of history and a few decades of turmoil is will also pass, new life will emerge. Just leave them alone, if India can't or don't want to take care. What is complicated Modi, why silent for 3 months, only to shed a crocodile's tear for 20 seconds and go back to sleep mode again after taking Masala chai. Sad sad story here in India. I was in churachandpur that day on May3.They had violent people with Ak47 in that peace rally and started burning meitei houses in and around churchanpur by Evening of may 3.Yes govt failed to control the violence but kuki started it in the first place and meitei retaliated with looted guns from the police but kuki are having supply from Myanmar

About the population, kuki is counted among the three largest community in the state. If we count including all the illegal immigrants kukis from Myanmar, it may be more than meitei. The growth population rate of kuki is unexpectedly increasing in comparison of other communities. Better if you search more information about kukis to know by the world
I am kuki and a Ph.D candidate. If you want to know why kuki students like myself had to join forces in defending our land, know that kukis are roughly 20% of the population in Manipur. The meiteis comprising more than 50% of the population could afford enough forces and more even if the blacksheeps (not to mention the state forces on their side) in every family is recruited for the job. Therefore, while their promising students are out of state minding about their careers, we had to risk our lives defending our land. Please understand this before asking about the guns in their possession.

This conflict has shown us how deceptive and untrustworthy the Meitei as a community are. Much of the violence was instigated by themselves spreading fake news about rape and killings of Meitei women (which were later debunked as being pictures from Arunachal and elsewhere). Then We see their MLA coming up with his own version of Manipur History and a Census that hasn't been taken yet. Then We see them defending the Rapist Herodas as being innocent and even had the audacity to claim that He was in fact trying to save the Kuki girl. The Meitei Police claiming there was no FIR being lodged and the Claim that the govt went with a Suo moto FIR which was later proven to be lies again. The Internet bans the atrocities and so on.
At this point, who in their right mind would wanna trust a Meitei's narrative without concrete evidence.

Meiteis shouldn't have lied about their rape victim, ect. Its hard to believe liars specially in this type of situations. Also they are being protected by the state government while the kuki have to protect themselves. I dont hear any news from the kuki about kidnapping ASSAM RIFLES OFFICERS but the meitei militants have kidnapped and killed them. Recently, two Assam rifles officers were kidnapped by the meitei militants again. For the majority of INDIAN its hard to side with MEITEI with all the crimes they comitted.
