    Thanks Prof Simon Deacon !!
    One suggestion is, please tell them cm3 = milliliter (i.e) 1000 cm3 = 1 Liter, would be easy to understand the unit better that way.
    Example: 113 cm3 = 113 ml

There's a similar question (?) on How to calculate the volume of a hemisphere video. Is that OK? If not, please email through mathswrap and I'll try to help. All best S

    Very good clear speaking with the drawings assisting to retain in memory,my maths teacher talked fast years ago and assumed all pupils got it just because say 6 out of class of 32 better ability for them did top stream years ago rest of class remained silent did not want to embarrass themselves,of course from younger years too the hare and the tortoise storyline,does not matter how long it takes to grasp maths at younger age ,
    my age then calculators were not used or invented ever person learns at their own pace,so now in older years he was a bad teacher my opinion on not making sure others in class understand ,Education is not a race,different ability’s learn at different speed nothing wrong with that ,hope people understand where I’m coming from development of brain cannot be set by speed teaching else we would all be geniuses.

    we would be happy if could derive volume of cylinder with collection rect. sheets forming a solid cylinder.
    (or) or sweeping a rectangular sheet along axis to form a solid cylinder. 2*pi*r*(r*h)=2*pi*r*r*h which is wrong :(

    • @3minutemaths
      @3minutemaths  Před 8 lety +1

      +likhitha amidala - Hi ..the perimeter of a circle is 2*pi*r (or you can use pi*d). If you want to know the area it'll be 2*pi*r * h or pi*d*h.
      I hope this helps and all best S :-)

    I used d squared divided by a constant of 1,273,000 × the length (depth) in drilling calculations for finding annular volumes. eg. 200mm x 200mm= 40,000 ÷ 1,273,000= 0.031421 × 1000m= 31.421m3 (31,421 cubic litres) volume. it's easier and faster.
