    I would've assembled it in a vertical orientation. Seems easier to line up the triangle to tape that way. Hard to guess the gap width and all that jazz.

    Is there a reason why you used the tv other than it’s cool/repurposing?

      Yes, there is. I initially planned to use high-quality first surface mirrors, but they were expensive. Then I got a free TV from the marketplace and thought it would be cool to turn it into a kaleidoscope.

      @@my-pixels what size CZ did you buy for these?

      @@brknlngs5227 I have different sizes gemstones since I make custom kaleidoscopes. For this project I used a 16mm gemstone. I think any size starting from 10mm should work. You can even replace it with a small dichroic cube.

    can you do the colored window or scratch technique with glass mirrors? or can you only use the plastic adhesive mirror? also how do you get your kaleidoscope to fit perfectly in the stained glass housing?

    • @my-pixels
      @my-pixels  Před 13 dny

      I don't think scratching glass mirrors would work, but I've never tried it.
