This is actually fantastic! I've gone through so much baking soda cleaning my collection and now it looks like it's worth thousands more! Thank you kind sir!
Nice trick! Try cleaning copper (such as pennies) with lemon juice and table salt. I read that on the back of a cereal box when I was a kid. It works :)
I was laughing so hard because he kept flipping and tossing it around like he was making top ramen noodles. I'm about to try these on my 1 oz EngelHard. Wish me luck.
I had to do it as well I made the water too hot and I couldn’t flip the bar with my hands 😂 This is a great way to clean up your silver for less than a dollar
I'm sure it works. Thanks to CZcams, I can't tell how many dislikes there are and if it works or not. Which is really risky when dealing with precious metals.
Thanks! Just received some silver from a reputable internet site. Second hand silver sealed bag marked with the sku, company name etc however it was tarnished in a pattern on the back side. Cleaned right up so I now know it is or should be 999 silver.
Go the grinder method I reckon, definitely the most coarse wheel you can find too and keep going until your fingers start bleeding....... But only after hitting with an 8lb sledge hammer first.
I actually use a steel wired brush and scrub off the tarnish that way. Usually go at it for about a half hour. It helps to rub it down with hydrogen sulfide before and after scrubbing
Now dead gum dang dog nabbit you done gone and done it all with this here messing around! Banksters everywhere are going to be mixin up hot water and baking soda trying to make silver out of all that paper they have. Son, we are trying to fight the banksters not make them rich...

But yet still only worth its weight
This made my bullion blind an astronaut!!!! Thank you for this wonderful video!!! ✨ 🪙 ✨

Why are you hammering and scratching it with the spoon!?

Does the chemical reaction also prove that the silver is real? Any thoughts on that? Great tip for cleaning, thanks!
No, I don’t believe so, have to do other tests
Amazing !!!
thankyou for sharing, awsome
thank you!
will this work if my silver has turned a little green?
Great job I tried this technique with a ten oz bar and it worked great. Thanks for the great content

@@brandonj3058 It worked but I only used it on one bar. Water is definitely hot!!!

Amazing
Im wondering how long actually does it takes? Shoul i leave it 5 or 15 or 30mins?
scraping the silver with a metal spoon hurts my soul, at least use a wooden spoon or something.
Will silver bars get milk spots like bullion does? And will your method remove milk spots?
How hard should i beat my silver with a metal object? Wouldn't sandpaper or a grinder eliminate the tarnished areas as well?
Yes sandpaper would remove the tarnished but you would also remove material
Go the grinder method I reckon, definitely the most coarse wheel you can find too and keep going until your fingers start bleeding....... But only after hitting with an 8lb sledge hammer first.

@@CHESTURCH good thinking maybe if you do it for 90 mins you could turn a 10 oz bar into a 9 oz bar
@@phatindy Acid works wonders too. LOL
Wow
Wow, that worked so well!!! Btw, are u Vietnamese?
yes, he is
question, do you know how to remove lable from back of silver?
What do you mean remove the label from the back of the silver?? What label?
That's probably for anti counterfeit reasons
You remove the sticky label with a chisel.
What's the purpose of the foil?
The chemical reaction with aluminum is necessary for the baking soda to work.
Beat on it harder to remove the most stubborn stains.
Great video - Thank you! Thought you blokes use wooden chopsticks?
Chow Yun Fool
Why are you beating on it with a metal spoon? Would you strike the side of your car with a hammer to remove road dirt?
Yes, sometimes there is hardened bird poop that only comes off with a hammer.
The method works but why are you beating on it with a spoon? Use wooded spoon. You removed the tarnish but scratched the hell out of it.
