I think the process was a bit drawn out. I did this yesterday with sulphuric acid. I don’t think it needed to be heated so much but maybe it works better that was. I’m not sure but this video was successful and that’s all that counts in the end. Results
Would it not be more energy efficient if one allowed the end product to dry naturally first before melting. Otherwise you waste energy evaporating the water.

When you added the sugar, you turned the oxide to powered silver or cement silver.

Only applies to coinage that are in current circulation and in country of origin. Only gold and silver are money everything else is credit.

As already stated the coins were worth a lot more as coins than you will get for the silver as lots of people collect coins as a hobby.
Probably not as much as they get for the youtube ad revenue, however 🙂
