Why do you want my name he is more of a gangster than Paulie was

Doesn't admit to killing anyone and then tells a story where the guy he was beating on 200% died, classic
"He he" -Paulie
Quite a few months late but I think it might be a coping mechanism of sorts. Since he doesn't know what happened he probably wants to believe he's alive somehow and didn't kill him over something as stupid as flirting with the girl.
I remember when you used to wait in the car, AND AS FAR AS IM CONCERNED YOU SHOULD STILL WAIT IN THE CAR!
@@familyplayer1no I think he knew the guy died. Just saying “didn’t see him again” is he way of being subtle about it
@@langerd6711The guy didn't die. There's no statute of limitations on murder. And he gave up enough info to make it a easy case for the cops
It's very interesting that he's a much more intimidating person than the character he played. Surprising.
Makes sense to me, a guy with a genuine criminal past playing a comedic relief character.
Did you watch the show? Paulie is one of the most intimidating people in The Sopranos… he killed his own adoptive mother for basically no reason.
@@hobochangba7638 WTF are you talking about. He did not kill his adoptive mother. He killed her neighbour during a robbery.
@hobochangba7638 Did YOU watch the show? I'm thinking you need to watch some episodes again because you're all backwards and twisted on that.
It’s usually the other way around, the actor has to play a more intimidating character. But not many actors with his background.
In the Sopranos, he played a deliberate caricature. The silver sideburns, track suits, gold chain, but he had the same neuroses as everyone else. And he did it well. I give him credit for learning a new craft.
He really wasn't an actor. He just played one.

Gennaro Anthony Sirico Jr.
July 29, 1942 - July 8, 2022
RIP brother.
Makes sense why he was able to play Paulie to perfection. His fear of being alone culminated in a mobster that is surrounded by his friends all day but in reality has no one in his life (besides his aunt/mother). The way Paulie compensates that, makes his character behave exactly like someone does compensate. Its strange that people thought Sirico was dumb because Paulie was. Imo it was always very obvious that for being such a stellar actor without much experience you need to be able to reflect yourself and others on a deep level.
He had been in many films and TV shows before the Sopranos. Not sure how big all the parts were, but I'd say he was far from not having much experience.

🤣🤣🤣🤣 ahhh classic! still can’t believe I’m the only teen who’s watched the show in my neighborhood
What impresses me is the sincerity in how he accepts his mistakes
The fact that he says being alone is what he is most afraid of puts Paulie’s character into better perspective. The remember whens. When he brings up to Tony that he never comes over anymore. Paulie was alone in the series and only had his Ma who was in Green Grove. Sure he had the girlfriend when Chrissy was shot, but that’s not the same as a family and his home was always empty.
He literally had one chair right in front of the TV in his living room. Dude was never expecting any visitors.

Holy shit this hit close to home. The way Tony talks about his biggest fear was being alone, so relatable.
RIP legend
He sounds very different from Paulie. Paulie had this very high-pitched voice, while Tony had a pretty deep voice in comparison. His laugh is real different too, it sounds much more articulate and sinister than Paulie’s. A real actor.
Sounds high pitched due to the camera and mic that’s recording him.
