      Wish my wife an I could attend one of your 3 day gold hunting treks, but we got a ranch with lots of different animals that take up 90% of our lives. It's expensive finding animal caretakers just to leave town for a few days and hard to find responsible one's at that. But I'm a HUGE subscriber and love your channel, my wife and I are always laughing and learning from you. Maybe someday we can figure something out and if you have openings, attend one with you. I'm so very sorry about the loss of 'The Gold Lady and her husband and are burning with anger as well over that scumbag who murdered them and is STILL at large. Would LOVE to put a posse together and go catch that guy and do things to him like they did in the old 1800's. HANGIN' PARTY!
      P.S,
      Everytime you ask if anyone is willing to come down and help you work in your mine at home, I always raise my hand!
      👋😁
      Heck, I'd even do it for FREE, just to learn how to and experience it with you. Keep up the great and funny vids, my Brother. Our best to you and your sweet Mrs. 🙂👍

    When in college taking busness admin . The story spoke of how Levi Strous was conned when buying canvas for making tents .the front of the load was but the rest was denim . So he ended up being a gold miner broke . He was hurting his body so he was a tailor by trade so he made his work pants and jackets with pockets and ways to carry tools. His nieghbors wanted these work cloths . Took a downfall and used it to create a legend. We all have fallen but its how you stand back up that matters!

      @paulgreen6854 Před rokem +1

      I heard the same story but just a little bit different. He never was a gold miner. He came there with all the canvas to make tents. What he did not realize is everybody already had tenths otherwise they would not have gone out there. What they did need was durable trousers. The only thing that kept him afloat was patching trousers with canvas. Then he started making some pants out of canvas. That's why blue jeans are riveted. Part of the tent making. When he reordered he went with the cheaper Denim. More flexible than canvas. Not waterproof but wasn't necessary.
      Also heard it in business. It was a story about how you are not in charge of your business, the marketplace is. The lecturer that shared this started off with a PC repair on a campus. Started dabbling in repairing bikes. Now has seventeen locations authorized dealer.

    • @paulgreen6854
      @paulgreen6854 Před rokem +1

      @@robertlint4742 it wasn't just in college either. That was a reading comprehension portion of the SAT. You read the story answer questions.
      Maybe you only took a certain portion of the story. Also you're talkin about business administration. I was in an entrepreneurial course study.
      It was intended to get us to start thinking like entrepreneurs. That whole section had a theme of you are not the boss of your business. The market is.
      I make $35,000 in 6 wks. All by myself. And I can't even take credit for it. I just listened to the demand in the market.
      So the story of Levi goes like this, he thought he was moving out west to be tent maker because of his analysis of the market. The truth is he went there to be a supporting service of the mining community, his analysis was wrong. But he stuck to the rough business plan of servicing the miners and allowed the miners to dictate what they wanted.
      I never thought I would get into paint. Nevertheless I have a small fishing boat I call spilled paint.
      Anyways the whole reason they became known as the 2 horse brand is that how he marketed. Just like the opium tinksters. Going to a main street with a covered wagon and do a demonstration. He would have his salesman take the two horses that were pulling his stock and have them play tug-of-war w the pants.
      So this was revisited when we were covering product demonstration.

    Very high chance at my age im going to indulge in delving into geology... I started prospecting years ago and currently am lucky enough to have the largest blue quartz specimen in the last 50 years, from my area of course. Im lucky enough to be in virginia where the gold rush started. And you would be amazed with the amount of mineralization. Ove got pictures of 6 foot coal veins. Running along ancient creek beds. The knowledge you have offered will allow me to properly "and respectfully" mine these ancient creek and river beds ... Your a master of your craft and craft of your mastery. Stay true jeff. You have single handedly brough mining into my generation. My kids thank you as do i. Your an idol now jeff. Stay true.

    I wonder how much silver ore is left in undiscovered ore shoots at the old Tombstone mines? Professional dowsing inside the mines using the modern light weight ball bearing dowsing will answer that question. This is the only dowsing rod that uses the strength of gravity pitted against the strength of the elemental magnetic flux lines that are being dowsed, for accurately deciphering all edges, exact center, depth buried with angle of deposition, and most importantly GRADING. I wrote a recently published book for teaching the world how to use physics in dowsing with the modern light weight ball bearing dowsing rod. The ten chapters explain - how every element emit an electromagnetic microwave band frequency with no two elements having the same - how the same elemental atoms in an elemental mass band together their electromagnetic microwave band frequency for producing the elemental magnetic flux lines with no two elements having the same - how to build your own modern light weight ball bearing dowsing rod - how the dowsing rod load attached to the dowsing rod becomes energized by the same element's elemental magnetic flux lines which also energize the electronic metal detector - how to dowse out buried pipelines and cables, precious metal placer and lode deposits, any sought element, amplified long distance dowsing from a moving vehicle, and dowsing for treasure. I give free dowsing lessons in Laplata Canyon near Durango Colorado where a gold vein system runs underneath the Laplata County Road. This is as much more information to explain than is possible in a post, so thank you for reading this post and have a safe, healthy, good day.

    was in Tombstone 30 yrs back, they called it big nose Kate's saloon then. you paid too go inside for tour. Story back then was the town caught fire, all the patrons ran out of big nose Kate's too fight the fire. her salon being alittle further from town and built out brick was unharmed. the place never reopened supposed to have been left just as it was when everyone ran out. drinks on tables, cards on the tables, what ever was left was in place like time capsule. you were not allowed to touch anything. they said people came from miles around for a the stage shows. it was a packed house nightly. I asked what was a packed house? they answered 50.
    you walked down to the lower salon, they said it was for the patrons with little means and little money. the brothel rooms were for the less fortunate over used women. you could walk into them back then. I see they changed the history alot.

    I wish you could do a show on the commonwealth mine in PEARCE, AZ. Perhaps you could get access that most can not. Lots of History There. It would be unique to see... Back when the mine was for sale, I walked to the top of the mountain, and seen 5 inch thick veins of some kind of purple gem material. Never been in the mine itself, but I bet it is amazing. And watch for the snakes....

    This was a great view of Tombstone, thank you for sharing. Seeing the Civil Defense supplies reminded me of a place where I worked. Way down in the basement they had the water barrels and Crackers. And yes my coworker did try them and said they were rather STALE. . I think ours were dated 1964. I do hope with all this running around you're not neglecting those big red worms. And as always real life is stranger thank fiction. Keep up the good work and COME ON Lets Gooooooooooo

    Mint chocolate chip is my favorite as well... My least fav ironically is Rocky Road, marshmallow must be melted to be edible for me...I really learn so much from your content... I will be ordering your book soon as I learn how to navigate your sites... I have many questions that have come up due to information gaps... Possibly, there may still be some things we have not figured out regarding formation and/ or deposition of the Royal Elemental Groups...
    Although and because I love to expand my knowledge I have realized that we don't know everything about the transitional elements because we cannot see every bridge ( or transition ) linking elements...
    Take tellurides for instance, they were once believed to be without values, and called fools gold, and as you probably know the top producer of Au is Calaverite, a Gold Telluride... I try not to let what we know stop me from discovering something new... I don't let the fear of looking foolish or sounding crazy or being ridiculed by others, who they themselves have already been limited to and by the accepted doctrine... All knew theory, throughout history, has been met with harsh resistance...
    Any thoughts??

    My great grandpa (born around 1915) and his dad (born around 1890) spent a lot of time going around the southwest hunting for minerals and GOLD! they had gold fever pretty bad, but they mainly wanted treasure. i grew up hearing about superstition caves and hidden gold there. They had found a few truly dead ghost towns that were not tourist spots (and dangerous to get to) that went largely unknown until the 1980's i think. all i have now are the stories about where the ghost towns are though because their hand drawn maps were lost after my great grandpa died. I remember him talking about how there was still stuff like jeans and some mining tools in the ghost town. He also told me it was likely no one would find it unless they were also looking for minerals because the road in was beyond washed out (there was absolutely no trace of it).
    Its funny to think that the true fortune out there in the southwest is the jeans and not the gold! at least that's true for the ghost towns that are mostly unknown (if any are left).

    I’m sure this is a noob question, but I haven’t been able to turn up an answer on internet searches. What were these guys using to write on the walls in these old mines? It couldn’t have been a felt tipped pen or marker, since those weren’t around before the 1910’s, so what came before that?
