We dive deep into the very rich geology of Gold deposits of the infamous Black mountains of Oatman Arizon which sits on the equally famous Route ^^. This is a companion video to the Geology of Gold deposits and the formation. We know this is gonna blow them pants off so smash that like button and Sub if you are not already.
I was watching this video before you had time to write this! 🤣👍✌️
Hea Jeff since i know your a history buff and might make a great vid may check out your area star forts to look at remains gonna need a drone as miles across. DutchSense covers some and JohnLevi covers in detail. Question for you and slim is who built the advanced massive structures and why??? Why no archeological studies being done and rarely mentioned in history? Just something to ponder!🤔 Keep up the great work and stock up on them there beans. Lol
@@jamesdowell9676 nice! I'm well into that and love Jon Levi! I really liked his last video laughing and working out what people were thinking in the photograph 👍🤣❤️💛💚
So millions of years ago would this area look like the Pacific Northwest with it's volcanoes or more like Yellowstone...or something completely different? As always you and Lila provide such great videos and content. 💣💥🚫👖🤠
@@rastaralph7154 thats what we are talking about
I've said it a hundred times your the best at teaching. I hope people realize just how much knowledge you are putting out there. Great video.
thanks Rick ....really appreciate that
Speaking of teaching , are there any rock hunting courses in Arizona that anyone could recommend? I’m moving to Tempe but plan on taking camping trips and would love to know what I’m looking at. Cheers
Oatman is fun. Driving old RT 66 back to kingman is a nice drive. Theres a natural spring that pools up and theres goldfish in there. And lots of burros everywhere.
Jeff mate, your mining vids are great, but this sort of explore and your Geology films really are where it’s at!
Keep up the great work pal 👍
thanks Mark
Yeah, 1 of the few things I miss about living out West are these craggily, open brush lands to explore.
Thanks for sharing, Jeff. Your videos have really helped me to understand and appreciate the landscapes I've been exploring the last few months. This really is a neat area and your enthusiasm is infectious.
Glad you like them!
Excellent video as always! I thought you took a pan everywhere you went! 🤣 Breaking the law breaking the law ✌️❤️💛💚
I usually do
🤫

This is some great geology information Jeff! Much obliged. Been waiting for some stuff like this. .
Haven't commented in a while. I appreciate all the places you take us and the knowledge you pass on to us! You're awesome Jeff!
I appreciate that!
After watching the episode with Roy Williams, I understand what you’re doing. Not just teaching us, but showing us the adventure also. thanks man.
JEFF your geology knowledge is impressive, and you make it fun too learn, thank you.
Glad you enjoy it!
I wish Gold never jumped into my soul... I wouldn't mind if I lived in a great areas like Arizona, Nevada, Washington or Alaska...
I have had more fails then I like to admit.. Great Video as always! God Bless you all!🙏
Oregon has way more gold than Washington though 😂
Looking forward to watching this later. Love the music 👍
Loved this video so much! Thanks Jeff!

So cool I can't wait to get out and explore
Always look forward to prospecting with you.
Thx Jeff for the very informative video. I much prefer these videos than your earlier silly ones. I learn so much more with these.
Glad you like them!
Well I am late watching this but as others have already said, these "educational" videos are brilliant. I have learnt more watching & listening to you Jeff than all the other gold prospecting channels combined. Bloody awesome Jeff & the vid quality by your best half is terrific as usual.😁👍.
Glad you like them! Thanks
You are a wealth of knowledge my friend. This video is honestly phenomenal. Have not seen a more comprehensive prospecting/geology video than this.
thanks

You should!
Nice work Jeff Williams really explained in detail , coming from a bloke that's never done any gold prospecting , love what you do mate , Chris from Melbourne
Thanks 👍Chris
Just watched a drone video of Golden Valley, your desert landscapes are magnificent.
When I was younger me and a good friend used to drive out to the desert and find old ghost towns and mines, it was the search for the golden monkey. We never found the golden monkey but we did pick up alot of crystals and pyrite, and beautiful minerals. Your videos remind me of that, it makes me want to polish up the car and drive out there again! Here in Utah we have fossils and gems and all kinds of cool stuff like that. Gosh you know so much about the science I can't get enough of hearing you explain it all. Fascinating stuff, Jeff!
thanks and get out there before you are too old
Great job Jeff
Keep up the great work Jeff
😎 👍🏼on another note D.C is full of "Wild" Asses as well but the 2 legged kind and more dangerous
Thanks for sharing your incredible smarts!

Great hearing from you Jeff… love Oatman thanks for the Geo lesson

Fun times! Learned some things as always (I keep a pan in my car and pack all the time now). 😃
It was such a profound moment in his life my aunt brought it up at his funeral. Like standing up there with a microphone talking to the audience n stuff.
Appears your adventures are expanding! Keep up the good work.
thanks
Awesome video Jeff. Very interesting
Thanks 👍
This is so cool I need to learn more thanks professor jeff
Any time!
I always have a blast coming by. Keep on having fun and living the dream fam. Gold Squad Out!!!
thanks GS
That might be of the best and most important geological answers for anybody who's smart enough to look for gold. Only if Google gave us the real close-up pictures they've been sitting on for over 20 years.
great video, thanks for sharing
Love your vids Jeff!! Thank you!
I appreciate that!
What a stunning little town it’s perfect the story of the Olive Oatman is fascinating this video has everything history gold geology and the world famous Jeff Williams who was like a kid in a candy store love to see Jeff in his element it’s an education listening to him he is a wonderful teacher and a master of his craft All the best from me to Jeff and Lila take care and I’ll see you on the next adventure ❤from Scotland 🏴
thanks ....really appreciate that
A very informative video Jeff. And the photography is excellent.
Many thanks!
Drove through oatman in a rented RV, what a place! Love it!
Wonderful information. I was on a nature trail at my work and found a narrow stream with nothing but jagged stones and pebbles. I spotted one roundish rock about the size of my fist. I noted that this looked incredibly out of place, and I was right! It was the stone part of a Indian "Tommy Hawk". I didn't know that at the time, I just put the stone in my pocket. I put the stone next to my TV when I got home. The very next afternoon, the sun was shining on it and I could see a "V" shape markings on the stone and it has the same markings on the other side. The darker stains were from the leather straps that held the stone to its handle. I feel pretty good about the find; a 20 minute trip into the woods landed me a piece of history. Thank you for your videos.
thanks great ...what a find Linda and you betcha
We sure do enjoy these kind of ride along's you take us on !!! And your tour story tell'n is a special treat !!! Sure could watch hours n hours of you guys !!! Nice Ride Thx Guys !!!🌵🌵 💀💀👍👍
thanks and you betcha
Been there many times. Beautiful area, hotter than hell in the summer though! 👍👍👍
Hey Jeff, I love your videos like this. YOU are a goldmine of information. I have to say that I believe that the only reason the government seals off or fills in old mines is they know there is a lot more precious metals left in that mine. Public safety has nothing to do with it, prime example is the mine/pit you referred to as the ant hill. Thank you for sharing your knowledge.
thanks Jay ...... exactly ....they don't spend money on nothing .....exactly ...why is that one still open
Lived in AZ for my whole life(45 years) and have never been there! ..putting it on the list. Fun fact, most major current mines in AZ are copper mines, The copper pays for the mining, but the gold/silver is where they profit. And those profits are usually kept secret :)
I use an old drill today and a sledge hammer to break and crush ore. It's fast and cheap use a 6 inch by 12 inch pipe to put your ore in and crush.
Your the BOMB!
Keep on keepen on
Love the sounds of skree.
Fun place and video, Jeff. I've been down that inclined shaft with the huge closure on it. It doesn't do a lot as I remember. The high water table makes many of the workings in the area flooded. Thanks for the geology lesson.
tanks for telling us ...now we can mark it off the list ...glad you liked the vid
Jeff and Lila this year will strike it rich! That's right! This year! Jeff is working a mine that is very promising! I have been watching a lot of metal detecting videos lately! When I get depressed watching 'treasure' being can slaw, rusty nails, bottle caps, I find my way on the internet to Arizona! There are several in Arizona that make lucrative finds! I love watching those that find 'treasure'! Perhaps, I will find treasure here in south central Illinois. Some of the rivers here supposedly have small amounts of gold. There is possibly a couple other States there are gold to metal detect? Australia? Those earthquakes lately may play a significant role in opening up possible prospecting? I always learn from Jeff. Thanks for the video.
thanks
Super cool Jeff, thanks for sharing mate. Cheers Kev
Thanks 👍
That's a fun little town to visit
Your videos just keep getting better. Soon I'll be able to to become a Patron. Thank You!
thanks and we hope to see ya there
Ive been to oatman before. Its a fun place, i need to go up there again and see if i can find some gold. Im new to prospecting and and have found some small stuff in lynx creek and the little tributaries so far.
Excellent video ,music and production work
Many thanks!
You're a walking map Jeff, you know so much of the mining history and how things were done in those days you've no need for anything except get off that couch and find the shiny! Lol! 😅 🤠
A man who resells gold is a damn good guy, a man who finds and sells gold is such as a profound philosopher!
Hey Jeff, thanks for making prospecting videos fun. You're the best out there. You definitely make learning geology easy. I must say it drives my ol lady crazy when I point out quartz veins or Valsonic plugs, and the YEAH, YOUR GONNA GET WET! phrase 😅 use it all the time, especially before I tell her good news. You're definitely someone who restores my faith in humanity. Where's slim?
Thanks 👍 Slims taking a much need nap .
Whoa 😳 That intro was insanely good…someone has been taking film classes… nice work. Especially the music…
Much appreciated!
THANK YOU JEFF,,WX LOOKS JUST GORGEOUS..STAY AWESOME..
Thanks, you too!

Thanks 👍
great video jeff
Thanks 👍
When I lived there while back, I remember I took my Xgf through there and she was scared. 😨 She was breed in az and never really explored and when I moved out there I got her to see the vast abandoned places there. Good stuff
Yummy yummy, thank you for sharing
hey bro love the video as usual. If I could just mention that I like when you slow down on the minerals in your hand and on the mine walls so the camera can focus and we can see the detail. Again great content sir.
we can do that ....thanks for the feedback
nice information sir 🙏
Good stuff!
Veoma zanimljivo,izuzetna lokacija,uzivao sam,veliki pozdrav.🇷🇸🤠👍
Děkujeme, opravdu si toho vážíme a máme pro vás další na cestě
Growing up in Needles, Oatman was a playground. I wish I had the internet and your channel when I was a teenager! I could’ve been a lot more productive rather than just 4Xing and exploring
Great video,
Thanks!
beautiful video, I’m a desert rat and route 66 has always been part of our family, from Tucumcari to Victorville!
Thank u for shareing. Looks like u guys r haveing fun! ✌️+💚
you betcha
Always!
I have read about Olive Oatman, quite a story. A very good read about other abductions are covered in the book Killing Crazyhorse, I highly recommend it, it goes way back to the earlier accounts of the Indian wars and other abductions such as Cynthia Ann Parker.
Great video! I was channel surfing the other day and as I flipped a few shows I heard a voice that I recognized. I'll be dipped in molasses if it wasn't Jeff Williams doing a geological commentary for a History Channel show 🤗. Rock on dude! I told my wife, " I know that guy!" She said really? Had to explain that I don't really personally know you but watch your CZcams religiously. Keep em coming and come on let's go 🙂🙃🙂🙃
thanks Lars ....got more episodes coming out on Ancient Aliens we know you are gonna love
The geology talks never get old. Never.
thanks
That's what we Talkin bout Willie 😊
Great videos Jeff thanks to you and your videos I now know the I have found fluorite and xenoliths
Keep up the great work 🤘
Thanks, will do!
