  • Hey guys! Welcome back to my channel, in this video I give you a very in-depth review of me trying a 'soup diet'. I include different questions/topics including:

    *Also to mention, I have done a similar diet previously which is why I knew my body would be comfortable to eat this little for 7 whole days.

    When I got my wisdome teeth removed, I couldn't eat anything besides soup, so my mom made me soup every other day and I lost a whole bunch of weight. I went from 111lbs/50.3kg all the way down to 104lbs/47.2kg.
    That's the power of soup for ya.

    I am about to start a modified soup diet, for second time. Years ago I did a soup diet and lost 18 lbs in a month. When you google 'soup diet' you find articles suggesting it will work short term but is nutritionally unsound, lacking in grains and protein. Nonsense. It depends on what you put in the soup. Add some brown rice and lean chicken meat with all those veggies and you have a balanced meal, a non-fattening one. The thing at my house is, I cook for 2 people. My husband loves cookies, hamburgers, fried foods, and a lot of other stuff that fattens me up. But he will also eat a good bowl of soup. He does love veggies. So the soup diet allows me to not have to cook 2 sets of food. I can just keep some of my husbands faves in the frig along with my soup. Both of us are happy. Wish me luck.

    Thanks for the tips - wanted to introduce soup as a daily lunch from now on and keep porridge as breakfast as a good healthy diet, I have a habit of not eating until supper time which is not healthy.

      @@JadeGabrielle I really enjoyed your video, the only problem that I have is that I work 8 hours 5 days a week, so I don t know what to take with me at work, I don t like porridge, and I become hungry at work, if I would stay at home everyday probably I would be fine, do you know any idea of food low calories which you take at work?

    I have some bitter sweet chocolate chips I might have 3 or 4 with some peppermint tea. Something with peppermint mimics sugar in my tastes buds.

    I'm starting a 2 day broth diet tomorrow. Plus water and vitamins of course. If it goes ok, I'll restart and do a 10 day broth diet.😊

    Hi Jade I just came across your video and it's really motivated me! Do you think this diet would help me to get rid of belly fat in the starting point and then afterwards do a more healthier route (like you said homemade soups etc...). Right now I'm not actually looking at numbers because I feel like it will only bring me down so at the moment I just want to focus on physical change and then focus on the scale numbers :)

I am really not qualified to say what I think you should / shouldn’t do, so unfortunately I can’t answer your question as I would hate to give you the wrong advice! From reflection I do think this could be a potentially dangerous diet so please do seek medical opinion/advice. I am still on my own journey with my body and food and I hope to do a updated video within the next few months:) Always prioritise your health first and I wish you the best of luck on whatever journey you take 🤍

      @@JadeGabrielle Hii! Thank you so much. I completely understand and you do have a good point. I only asked because I literally a lot of diets and none seemed to work. I just cannot seem to lose belly fat. I am thinking of doing this soup diet for 7 days just like you did along with physical exercise as a starting point and see how I feel. And then after that add more healthy food into my diet to replace the soup. But I do hope your journey goes well too (although you don't really need to. You are beautiful as you are already😊).

    Thank you for making this video. This video confirms what come to realize a few days before I found your video. I need to eat warm soupy foods, 2 meals a day like oatmeal and little fruit when I eat brunch and some vegetable soup with little protein and piece of Ezekiel toast with avocado or sunflower seed butter for the cravings. I eat only when hungry. Have let go eating addictively or because it’s there. Thank so much ❤
