I have been watching for ages and my wifi couldn't reach half my house but after watching many of your videos I found a cheap alternative to getting wifi all over my house thanks guys!!!
What product did u get?
1- You made up that tweet because Asus sent you those
2- Stop patronizing your viewers
Have used Eero and AmpliFi on both of our homes and it works perfectly with gigabit speeds.
This actually looks like something I'll buy that ks for the review! 👌
Great video Alex 👌👍
nice.. gonna try it
I am a little more of a techie, so I got a Unifi a while back and have been loving the fact that just the one unit actually has my whole house covered (as it can be powered over ethernet, so basically placed anywhere), whereas the ISP's router barely got a signal out of the room that it was in.
ByteOfBlender has
Before you all go out buying this, check user reviews from people who used it for a while, eg Amazon. Reports of bad speeds, satellites losing connection and other things. Same goes for Orbi, check their forum.
Suggested solutions for some is to turn off features built in, which is not a real solution, just a temporary workaround...
You may be lucky and have no issues. But I think this technique is in it's early stages and considering all the factors affecting WiFi performance, it's not strange a plug n play technique like this is hard to implement perfectly for all different environments.
Number of walls, material in walls, neighboring WiFi disturbance etc...
The Linksys velop does this also, that is what I have
I'm alright thanks I'd rather have happy wifi instead of a rage wifi
Great editing Luke or Jed 😜
love your vids!!!!!!
im so glad you made this video my wifi is terrible and im going to get an asus lyra
You are so smart man
Hi Alex I’ve been watching your videos for awhile now, and on this one.... this is what I have been looking for. Easy and simple setup. I have BT Broadband so would I just need to unplug my home hub and replace it with the asus starter node? Or connect the node into my current router? Keep doing what your doing and good luck with your new house 😁
I don’t think that is what he wanted to know,
He wanted to know how to set up his own isp and get that speedy internet
I have absolutely no idea WTF you're talking about Alex, but you keep me drawn in with your tech videos. 😅 Great job across all your channels boss!
Had no school?
This is the point where I unsub.
not anymore
i find it funny when you tubers play ads in front of their ads... ima let you finish, but let me just monetise this video before i monetise this video
does this work on 3 phase?
what app are using for speed test
Hello please can you make a video on Google Assistant fix please
Where can i buy IT?
i find that hand off with my onhubs are pretty meh. they stay on one router too long even when its 1 bar vs full bars on the other. Are these better?
Give us prices
Sir why I cannot see in Lazada sir please post there
Asus Lyra vs Google Home?
This isn't really a fair test
Moose UK - I’d hope if I spent £380 on network gear I’d get better performance compared to the freebie router that came with my internet. Would of been more helpful to of seen the setup compared to network extenders or 1 of the 100 other mesh systems that are all the craze right now.
What system will allow me to take advantage of gigabit speeds wirelessly but connecting the wireless points via POE?
Don't use power line, use proper Ethernet cables. Powerline is susceptible to a lot of interference and will not deliver good enough speeds.
Do you still need a provider like sky or nah?
DJDJStone I’ll take that as a yes 🖕
Do I need a broad and such as virgin media router with this as I pay for 100 mbps
Alex how do u get your internet into the office
THEYOUNGFENIAN his internet is through O2. You can see when he's doing speed test.
Then you see the price tag...
Do you still need to pay for your wifi you had beforehand?
_Jack_Plays_ yeah of course
You’re lucky I only get 10 megabytes when I by the router
Range*
Sorry Alex, those mesh units are i call OK, but not great. You should talk about the Netgear Orbi (AC 3000) Netgear uses a band as a backhaul the band is a 5.8ghz.
Orbi firmware is trash, seen the chaos on their subreddit?
#meraki FTW
Would the lyra is better than the Google WiFi and if so in what way???
TechFlow Thanks 😆😆
Hey Alex, couldn't see a thing on your phone, when looking at apps, please do screen recording.
really? i could see it
BT Whole Home Wi-fi is better with 6 nodes
Long rage WiFi bro come on
Hey Alex, even if my network provider speed is slow can the asus lyra make ir work better? (PS: my ping is about 30-40, down 5mb/s and up 0.01mb/s)
Love the videos!!
DBRKing HD no
Airo thanks bro
Big typo in the title
sort that blur out even in the vlogs its getting to be a pain
Heard you can wrestle, bet ya can’t pin me...
Ubiquiti still better
FPV Fred ubiquiti are the masters for wifi
Tatar More
The masters for *consumer* wifi.
Tatar More Ubiquiti has nothing on Aruba. Not even in the same league.
ill top you on that and say meraki by Cisco are so much better. But their only downside is the cost
what he forgets to say is that your going to be paying £300+ for this, however if you get a strong enough router Most Areas will have (Good) WiFi however yes some will drop, but he was using a £25 router against a £300 device. from my view point, yes if you have a lot of money you want to just throw out the window go for it buy it, or you can go ahead and create a full home network for a tiny bit more (Which will run a lot better). but it is up to you.
this guy looks like nick kroll as a child
£380 though..
Rage?
Hi
your comparing something that costs £30 to £380
Halal the beef yeah but he's rich.
£379.99 is expensive just to increase the range of your wifi. Don’t they give you a discount code for your viewers?
CAN YOU DO A VIDEO FOR HOW TO INCREASE YOUR WIFI ON A BUDGET PLEASE 👍🏻
Dont be dirsrespectful i have 3 down and 0.70 up
It’s not cheap.... was going to buy it for thinking it was like £30 but it’s £380
How much does this router cost monthly? please tell me?
Charlie Soles You have to buy it, there is no subs.
Google wifi is better!
