    WHY THIS WAS REUPLOADED:
    I had accidentally wrote "SkyWheel" instead of "SlideWheel" on one of the graphics. Also, for some reason, the thumbnail briefly showed up as a random video screenshot.

      There is a waterpark in Germany called Aquamagis where they have two stand-up slides and a wind slide. (As well as one that ends mid-air and drops you into the water.) I live near it and I need to say that the small (the green one you saw in the video) stand-up slide isn't that exciting. Of course it was very cool when I rode it the first time but after you done it multiple times it starts to get pretty boring. The big one is more like an actual waterslide and is a lot better reridable (although it's very hard to stand up the whole time). But the one I think is more enjoyable then both of them is the wind slide. The speed it hits is just insane for a waterslide. I rode a lot of rollercoasters that are a lot faster but experiencing this on a slide while you sit on a raft with no restraints is another level. When I rode it for the first time it scared the shit out of me. So yeah what I just wanted to say is that even if they look very cool these 2 slides aren't that great as you would think and there are other slides (even at the same park) which are a lot more enjoyable!

    About the cannonball loop at action park: my mom was an employee there for many years when she was a teenager. I can confirm they did pay employees 100$ to test the slide. My mom never did it personally but it did happen. And the dummy tests are also true. Perhaps as a result of action park, New Jersey currently has some of the most absurd, excessive, and arbitrary theme park regulations in the country. The aqua scoot is still one of my all time faves. There was a set at Kings Dominion long time ago. There were six altogether. Two were a double hill (kiddie) slide. This was the “medium” slope run (45° angle). There was another set that went down at a 75° angle and was INTENSE. I always thought for sure I’d fall forward but never did. After going over the top you didn’t touch the slide again until you almost hit the bottom.

  • @PartyPlanetYT
    @PartyPlanetYT Před 4 lety +10

    So about the fly over/underwater slide. The reason it closed, was indeed due to high costs. But the reason of the costs is different. In the slide there was a system measuring how long a visitor was taking to ride the slide. If this would take too long, the slide would drain at an enormous speed. That, as you can probably imagine, isn't cheap. This system was also very oftenly triggered due to people wanting to test the emergency stop out, or by people getting scared mid-ride. The ride actually was very safe, and no accidents ever happened on the ride.

    At first glance, the underwater water slide may SEEM terrifying, but think about it for a minute...When you're on ANY water slide you really can't take a huge breath in on the way down. You just sort of have the ILLUSION that you could. Have you ever gotten a tickle in your nose midway through a water slide, so you inadvertently inhale for a split second? So how would being ENTIRELY underwater be much different from being MOSTLY underwater? I don't think it would be.

      Which one are you talking about? The Fly Over?
      There wasn't an age limit?

      Yes, the fly over. I don't remember an age limit, but I'm sure there was. They made you test if you could stay under water for x amount of seconds before you could go on. This happened while queuing by going under, looking at a light. I was a little dare devil, so wasn't scared before, but when I came out, I couldn't even explain what had happened in that tube.
