You can choose if you want to delete your games i chose not to but it does uninstall your games but don’t worry because you don’t have to pay

If you do a factory reset and give away the glasses, all your log data is gone and the new user needs to log in again, right? In the video don’t appear the log in step (maybe is done when pairing)

It’s done when pairing because the app on your phone should already be logged in, so you pairing the account.
Just one question because my Quest 2 is showing the turning on meta logo for a second then turning immediately off if i factory reset do i keep all of my game info like do i keep them because i have games i really like that were expensive and if it saves my data on there.

yo so i haven't used my oculus in about 8 months because it would badly bug out, so i factory reset it completely and i could not get through this part where you have to pull something out of the controllers ( a piece of paper i think ) but my oculus was not new so it didnt have it anymore because i pulled it out when i first got it. does anyone have tips on how i can skip or get through this part? if you do you would be saving me another 400$ 🙏

I read the article about turning on the cloud data in the settings of your headset, and that’s what I’m trying to do. But my problem is that I forgot the pattern to my oculus so I can’t get on my headset to turn on cloud data (it may already be on but I’m still not sure). Do you have anyway for me to turn on cloud data or even reset my oculus pattern so I don’t have to factory reset?

@@smartglasseshub6285 This would work but my headset will not connect. Even before I forgot my pattern I had trouble connecting my phone to my headset. I tried casting and other stuff and it wouldn’t work for MONTHS. Do you have ANY other solution or must I factory reset?

What if you don't have controllers, are you assed out from even getting passed the initial setup? How can you complete the setup without controllers? Can you use something else?

Will this fix any audio problems with the quest 2? The reason I want to factory reset my quest 2 is because in my recordings, there was no audio there at all.
You may have forgot to turn on include mic audio before recording next time you record something up there make sure that’s on

Contacs are tied to your account (not headset). Read about game backup progress from the article in the pinned comment

if you type the code in on your phone and it says device needs to be updated.. you have to download the update on a pc then sideload it to your oculus.. look up how to manually install the update and do that.. then unpair controllers then repair them then it will continue to the normal set up process

I didn’t get a pair prompt. And I’m stuck on the screen where it shows you pin to pair your quest to the app. All it does is infinite load or tell me to try again
So what you wanna do is go to the app then menu on the bottom right after you get into the menu there is a button that says devices. After you click devices go to the 3 dots at the top right and press connect new device

It removes photos and videos, and deletes downloaded games but you still keep the games on your account.

Your games and account are safe, you just need to reinstall the games and sign back in with the same facebook account.
