Or just a bunch of idiots. Its not that immersive. I have 8k hours into my Valve Index. And I have the full tracking setup. And I have never jumped into a wall. Or ACTED scared.
@@helium5912 depends on person's brain, neither have I when it comes into jumping or smacking items, so i get where you're coming from, but it's just that some brains really do be wired differently I have 5k hours into my index, have FBT, and a haptic suit. They're all gimmicks to emulate something that the mind can emulate better.
@@AeternumUnus same here, 6.5k hours with my Index, full body and haptic vest. Never ran into anything but I did step on my cable once so I got a pulley.

Its very good idea. At this moment i try to make VR environment to test driving on speedtrack. Main problem - provide good enough(fast and precise) car tracking to avoid desync with VR environment and Real environement. It was very close to get precise GPS, but at this moment war disable precise GPS navigation so this project delayed.

Bro it wasn’t even that high up, I was so scared that at one point EVERYONE was chanting my name “AUDREY, AUDREY, AUDREY!” When I tell you I chucked out and let them all down, that day still haunts me. Absolutely love my quest 2, no idea how people fly into walls tho haha. The old gent who was blown away is me every time i try a new VR game.
Now *this* is true immersion. 😂
Once, my headset flew off because I was confident that I won't make any sudden movement since I'm so good at VR. I didn't tighten up my strap enough. Other than that, I have never even felt like moving in real life. This actually showcases how realistic it feels. This is better marketing for VR. I think people still don't understand how immersive it is.
VR was made for one thing and one thing only. And humanity is forever grateful

I showed my wife my Quest 2 with a stint on Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020. Her response was “Ooh, this is freaky” as she looked around the cockpit while the DA-62 cruised on autopilot. Then I was telling her how to use the controls and she grabbed the stick and shoved it the left. The airplane rolled over and dived for the Earth. She screamed and yanked the headset off. That was enough VR for her.

Uh... No your not. Not in every game/experience anyway. There are LOTS of them that use Room Scale settings so that you can walk around. That's why you have to mark out the virtual play space before starting. It's your fault if you don't set that up properly and walk into a wall because of it.
Yeah and the ppl who stand near tvs or furniture or walls. If you have a small space then it makes sense but you still need to be careful.

It's cool to see those VR pads are getting big, running in place makes VR awesome. I tried to get the Arcadia in Gatlinburg to go with it when they had me and my brothers there building an "escape" game like 4 years ago. They just thought I was an idiot, like everyone usually does. But it probably would have made them a lot more money than puzzle rooms trying to escape some basement.
