Beatrice Gelmini was standing in 6th place after the compulsory figures at the 1990 World Figure Skating Championships, but this original program dropped her out of the top 10. She finished 13th overall.

you are right, her costume is pretty horrific... sad since the Italians are so sartorially savvy...

I am not really sure if the Fassis actually supervised this poor girl properly because nothing about her--from the music, choreography, to the costume--says Carlo/Christa Fassi AT ALL. I wonder if Carlo Fassi was pressured into coaching her because they are both Italians... Either way, I am sure her skating could have been better showcased if it weren't for this horrendous program...

Although she excelled in compulsories, neither her edging nor her balance was very good... That's really odd.

A lot of bad positions in jumps and spins. I can see why she finished so low :(

Possibly the worst outfit I've ever seen. Horrible landings on the jumps with her arms way behind her instead of on the side.
