In this video I've got some tips for doing your first carves on your snowboard. The first place you can try carving turns is just across the slope on a green run. Here you can practice getting your snowboards edge into the snow and drawing a line behind you in the snow. Thanks for watching!

Hey Kev, I managed to get to linking turns (thanks for the other videos 🙏) and now moving to carving. My trainer tells me it is very important to learn this before S turns. He is really a great teacher. Wanted your opinion on 2 matters: 1) are you of the same opinion to learn carving before fast S turns? 2) I am overweight and my teacher tells me to use my body weight in a more straight position to better do carving and release the pain I have on my toes due to my Achileas tendons problem while you are showing to kind of seating on a chair to do better carving. What would be your opinion/tip?

I’ve ridden a skateboard since a kid left foot forward. Started learning to windsurf switch maybe a decade ago. While riding switch heel side carves feel okay but toe side I feel like I’m all out of whack lol. Need to get up there and practice!

My biggest problem when carving way across the slope, is the point where i have to turn(change edges) and begin the next carve. Sometimes it works, sometimes i catch an edge and fall. Any tips on how to early swap my edge without catching it?
