In this video I'm teaching my friends this fun fun carving trick the revert carve. Revert carves are a fun first trick to learn on your snowboard.
This is so good. Would love more of this style of video. Nice to see people learning and having the same struggles that we might. Very helpful.
It seems like the key thing to focus on is to look backwards up the hill during the transition to switch. Don't turn your head and shoulders around to see forwards, but keep looking in the same direction as before the transition. You can see the difference in Luke at the beginning vs the end. At 2:19 he turns his shoulders because of the instinct to look down the mountain. At 6:08 he does not, and he's got the technique down.
Be careful when "riding backwards" though. You can still do this trick and turn your head to see where you're going, as long as you don't turn your shoulders. E.g. look at Kevin at 7:20.
Can't wait to try this myself!
Can't wait to practice this weekend
Im ready for more practice
@@ellstackeradventures you got it dawgy !
Me to!
When I see people do it it makes complete sense. When I'm on a board it's like my brain suddenly doesn't get it. Now that you made this walkthrough, I think I finally get it and can try it my next time out
also cool with this revert carve is keep carving switch toe/heel/toe/... and keep looking uphill
Great vid Kev and Yanick. Thank you for ride and lesson yesterday
Best day ever
Swaaaaneee!

Oh man how much I'd love to get teached by you Kevin. There is so much to learn and watching your video's I feel like you're one of the best teachers out there. It's a shame I'm from the other side of the planet but man it's a dream.
I from the the otherside of the world to!
this was so awesome
thanks for the awesome tip keviiiiiiin
They make it look so easy hahaha
Sick vid Kev! Gonna try some of these tomorrow
Such a fun carve to work on!
🙏🙏🙏🙏
Thank you Guys ... this one was a dream come true for us 😊
I feel like im dreaming this is epic
i wanna be a friend and get a carving lesson Kev!
Snow board PRO camp!! Living up to his name
I think twisting your arms is key .
Thanks for the video!
a drill for this can be really big falling leaf carving just to get the idea of going backwards on your toes
THANKS ALOT
I'm trying this today
The upper body position is crucial for the backwards style!
Yeaaaaaaa…errrrr….yeaaaaaa
What mountain is this? It’s quite beautiful.
It's Northstar california
@@inmotion_snow thanks

I always seen JB do this, been wanting to learn it. Thank you
Love blind tricks, Dont get stuck in that backward position tho & go off trail like me 😂
Haha scary
@@ellstackeradventures after you realized you sent it to dirt & rocks, definitely 🍻

А где карв?🥲
First
So quick awesome
Is this really a "trick"?
What board are you riding? Based on the top sheet graphic, it looks so much like my '13 K2 Fastplant. I'd stull be riding it to this day if I didn't blow out the toeside edge.
